This is strange.... The one one the op with v3 name is 1.68mb and this one is 2.2mb.... Kkk then, ill try it and let u kno....

oooppps....
never saw what is in the zip!
those drivers are already in any rom available in one v world. those are the drivers released in august last year. so NOTHING NEW HERE.
the NEW released drivers for adreno 2xx and 3xx (which i was working with, last week) aren't any good for us. We need a CAF kernel for them to work and anyhow, they are not any good if you flash them just like that. They need to be compiled together with a rom.
OH, almost forgot - THREAD reported - As you posted in Development section and you posted a news that it is 1 year old.
Have a good day!

Thanks fr updating me but it had few files my rom didn't have so I thought it will be a little better...
Thanks anyway...

Knowing what you do, why would this be in development?
I am moving this to Q&A until something new is created. This does not need to be in development at this point.

it didn't had them because you use a sense rom - which uses the stock drivers.

Advice about kernels(ViperX)

I have took the plunge and finally rooted my HOX, and I've noticed the difference already, the question is though, whats the best kernel out there for viperx or coreDroid, battery is my primary concern and I have no interest in overclocking my device.
Thanks Dudes

Faux's Kernel is apparantly brilliant, especially when coupled with Viper X.
I've seen claims of up to 4/5 hours on Screen time.
Hope this helps mate.
PS - I HATE YOU, YOUVE MADE ME WANT TO ROOT NOW !

Welcome to the party
I'm on ViperX and have only been using Faux since the 006 series. The newest released kernel which is not a beta is the 007 kernel. If you want to go for great battery then the 007m is the one you want.
There is a new beta from Faux called 10b5 which also has great battery life. I just got 5 hours of screentime out of it, but do keep in mind that this is a beta kernel which is overclocked.
Hope that this helped shine som light on the subject
The best way is to download the zip to your computer.
Extract the boot.img from the zip\kernel folder and put it in your fastboot folder.
Place the .zip on your sd card.
Boot the phone into fastboot through the bootloader.
Open cmd promt (windows button+r --> wirte: cmd)
navigate to your fastboot folder (eg. cd C:\fastboot)
use the following commands:
Fastboot erase cache
Fastboot flash boot boot.img
Fastboot erase cache
On your phone go into recovery
advanced --> wipe dalvic cache --> go back
Install from sd card --> choose zip file --> locate the zip and install it
Reboot your phone --> done
Hope this doesn't sound too complicated, it really isn't as soon as you have done it a comple os times it takes 2 minuttes or less to do

First you will want to update the rom using the OTA service that the Viper team provide. This is found the same place as the normal OTA from HTC (Settings --> about phone --> Software update), newest version is 2.1
Use the step by step guide provided a couple os post's back. Go to faux thread in Original Development and find a download mirror.
Listen guys, this is important: For ViperX you should not repack you kernels. This will only make the rom unstable.

The "Original Android Development Thread" is for ROMS that have been built from the Ground Up. (From Scratch?)
Where as the "Development Thread" is for ROM's that are based on the Stock ROM but have been tweaked etc
Hope this helps.

I don't really understand what you mean.
Now, I will do the following~
1. install the Viperx V2.0.0 downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1745176( use the boot.img from the rom)
2. install the OTA update version 2.1 in the phone from HTC (Settings --> about phone --> Software update)
3.Download faux123's kernel ( One-X Kernel 007 Mainline )here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1647993 (which is for ICS as faux mentioned)
4. Flash the boot.img from the zip of Endeavoru-Faux123-007m.zip(downloaded from One-X Kernel 007 Mainline)
5.Go into the recovery mode and also flash the Endeavoru-Faux123-007m.zip
6. reboot & enjoy
Is it correct??

O, and one last thing guys.. let the phone settle after flashing a new kernel, rom and so on. Don't start complaining as soon as you have flashed it. The battery will settle, along with coolness and smoothness. Give it a couple os days and you'll be flying for sure

Just flash the boot.img in the rom zip and flash the rom again with ONLY wiping cache and dalvik cache, NOT data.
But believe me, once you've tried faux kernel you'll never want to go back to stock again
I thought so too... battery life and performance is great, but my phone hangs when I finish a call and I need to reboot every time I make a call :crying: :crying: So no use for me altough I wish. Problem is I'm on viper 2.1.0 which means I need to flash 2.0.0 and go through OTA again? ...

You must accept faux's word. 520 for 007 series. You can check his change log on rootzwiki.

Drivers Mali-400

At the outset, I'm sorry for the poor translator google .
Is it possible to update the drivers Mali-400 Ace 2?. From what I know Ace 2 has driver version r3p1-04rel0, while newer drivers appeared r4p0-00rel0 from last year. I know that the custom ROM for Xperia P or U, been updated drivers Mali-400 is why Ace 2 would not have the newer, since it is virtually the same smartphones?

Try it and report ...
Btw i saw in one SGS+ thread that taking the drivers from another samsung phone which has same GPU but newer driver ( bcz the phone itself is newer than sgs+) and replacing that file which is the driver , it gives +300 points in antutu , so in 3D test from 30fps to 50fps....
If the thing that you are trying to do , results succesfully , we will be able to play RR3 or sth.
OC, possibility of changing the drivers to newer ones. Its going better and better, our Ace is getting second childhood
@up
I agree, it`d be nice if sb here try it (sb who know how to do it ofc.)

Still working on the S-OFF method?
What kind of ROM are you building ? Aosp or sense ? and what are the prerequisite the phone has to have in order to test ? (Since there's no s-off yet I guess some other things have to be done)
My girlfriend has got this phone and its slow as hell so maybe I can be a tester with her phone if its still usable afterwards but I think she'd agree anyway cause the device is making her crazy also I can only start testing after august 6th cause we're on holiday right now
I would be happy to help you guys with testing any ROM. Still Desire 300 can be only S-ON. I hope you are going to compile AOSP ROM. Also i got request - If you are really going to make AOSP ROM would you use Linaro 4.9 by @Christopher83 , @JustArchi optimizations, -O3 optimizations, Link Time Optimizations. Lets get this phone working again because with stock firmware is just awful.

Well this is not Desire 310 but desire 300. The Desire 310 has a MediaTek Quadcore SoC with 1.3Ghz and 1GB ram, running a slightly modified AOSP rom. I can tell you this device HAS to be faster than the S plus of your sister. It is, check it. There currently no ROM available for 310 because of the Mediatek SoC. It's rootable via Framaroot using the Boromir exploit. DO NOT FLASH ANY ROMS, THERE ARE NONE

[KERNEL]NukedTrinity [3.0.101-ck1]([email protected]/3 & [email protected]/31

hey guys i brought something new iv'e been working on.my personal kernel based off of chonix's (jhonnyx) updated trinity kernelwhy should you use this compared to anything else?:
1: For fun
2: It has every overclock option i can pack into it,including:
"core" overclocking from ezekeels live oc
GPU oc from imoseyon
IVA oc ported from dtrails razr kernel <-a first for gnex as i know
CPU oc from morfic
3: It includes its own hotplug driver:will tisdale's generic arm hotplugging driver which performs better than intelliplug in my testing
4: it has actual hard coded voltages, smartreflex isnt even built in the kernel
5: it has ziyan's (daniels) new ram timings which give even better memory bandwidth
6: it has scu speculative line fills and full zero mode enabled for the processor <-NO DOUBLE LINEFILL
7: it has the 3.10 wifi drivers courtesy of jhonnyx
8: it uses TEUV voltages
9: the con kalivas linux patchset that no other gnex kernel uses, courtesy of poondog
10: the pvr governor ang gpu oc have been modifed to work with each other
other than that, its just one more modded to sh*t gnex kernel, but its mine and i want to share it as it gives me great battery and performance and its unique
i listen to requests,if there is something you want, speak up and we will talk about it :good:
btw, dont start any "this runs better than kernelx" bs here. thats disrespectful.
if you have a problem, dont get angry, write a post and we will troubleshoot
I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU DO TO YOUR DEVICE,YOU LOADED THE KERNEL.
i will NOT enable the double linefill from mpokang, mwisbest clearly showed everyone it cause memory corruption.
(clearly im not good with op's)
and my thanks go out to everyone on xda as there are way too many people for me to credit, thank all of you very very very much for your hard work.

Lollipop Kernel Full_Auto AOSP/CM

Full_Auto.....
A Lollipop/Marshmallow Kernel for the surviving Galaxy Nexus'
Hello Again , Here's a kernel I put together for myself to run Android 5.0/6.0 , and for anyone else who wishes to try
I started with the last stock Google jellybean source code , added the OmapZoom updates from @Ziyan and @MWisBest , then started adding back some things from my other kernels .
The Usual
Linux 3.0.101
DDK 1.9
Overclock/Underclock CPU and GPU
Adjustable Voltages
SmartReflex
Zram
Fsync
Multiple Governors , IoSchedulers , TCP congestion controllers
Color Control
Temperature And Throttle Control
and so on
Many thanks to All of the Omap4 guys , all the Nexus users , and all of the developers who's commits I've used .
DOWNLOADS
**Check the DevDB downloads page for R1**
**NOTE the FML-boot version is a full boot image , for the "others" kernel it is in Anykernel format . Please be aware of this **
As Most are aware of my last thread , I'm ok with Ot or Whatever , just mind the XDA rules and be cool with everyone
Enjoy , There's always more to come

Nice! so... from the drivers side, is there something left to do or fix?. It would be cool to have a plan and a roadmap for keeping track on this project. What are the following steps?. Thanks for your effort and dedication, mate.
Happy Epiphany and magic night.
Is this different than the last beta 3 you posted in the other thread?

The boot image is in flashable form as always
Using "FML-AOSP-5.0-20150104v3-maguro" with R1 Kernel (using F2FS for Cache and Data partition).
I can say: Thanks God for you guys (MW, bsmitty)!
New life to my Gnex. Almost no lags. Incredibly fast.

No, you have to edit ramdisk to modify accordingly fstab.tuna, easily done using Android Image Kitchen by osm0sis

3. Or download Android SDK and use "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
4. Or ...
(insert your method here)
Hope it helps.

It is not in a BOOT image or .img format. Never was. It has always just been a regular zip file you flash in recovery. Maybe codelazarous misread the "boot" part of the title. No need for any of what you wrote at the moment.
