Phone Freezes

When I use the camera on cm10 my phone freezes once and a while?

You would know that is s known issue if you were to read.

So the issue is that once you startup the camera the phone freezes and have to do a hard reboot/take out battery?

First I've heard of it. What's CM10?

bump! I just flashed to AOKP rom of jelly bean and still getting problem. phone freezes everytime I open an app that needs the camera it freezes my whole phone!

lol Ok, you should probably post any questions about this rom in the CM10 Q/A thread just above this one. No need to start a new thread. You'll probably get more help that way anyway.

Camera seems to be working now other than autofocus but they'll fix it sometime.

Samsung camera app

I'm looking for the stock Samsung camera app. Don't know if I have seen it anywhere on this forum before. Anybody know of an .apk or a flashback .zip? Thanks.

Definitely not. TW camera is dependent on TouchWiz.

Use an alternate replacement. Personally I like Camera FV-5.

Awesome, so it installs the same hardware/lense and all? Great!

ss improved camera of Note 2 so its better than s3

The gallery is awesome. Not only do you see your device pics and picasa albums, but you can also see your FB albums.

Obviously it doesn't change the hardware of the camera I was speaking in terms of the gallery. Camera doesn't change.

Ya know when i first saw that feature, i was like, well thats kinda dumb, but now that ive used it, its pretty cool. lol

I use the note 2 cam/gallery on my s3 and I really like it better.

I have both the latest builds of the camera and keyboard, working perfectly.

Who is your best friend?

I have the file you need to flash but not sure how to upload a file, or if I can upload a file.

Works great, thanks. I'm running cleanrom 3.3. I just flashed the zip, it worked. It didn't delete my old camera.... I just don't use it. 4.2 camera is better to me

I actually like the older camera better. Settings are easier to manage and ****. I think this apk will work on all roms and on tw or aosp.

That's true, settings are easier to manage. But, regardless of what setting I choose, picture still comes out pretty damn ****ty to me. It's not shabby for a cell phone camera..I'd just expected more this far down the line in smartphones.
Did you notice how smooth going through the gallery is man? photosphere is neat

I actually don't have it at the moment because I didn't care for the layout of both the camera and the Gallery. Also didn't use photosphere much so I deleted it for the moment.

It's not supposed to delete it, it's a totally different app. Just to let you know it won't save to SD card with the 4.2 camera.

Also, I shared the photosphere photo in Google Plus, but it's not showing up as a virtual in Google Plus. How do we do that?

Photosphere is great but how do others, without the 4.2 gallery, view the pics (I don't want tin upload them to Google maps)

Thanks for sharing I installed the keyboard and it keeps crashing on me. I did flash it and am using rooted stock touchwiz. Keyboard keeps force closing did you use the keyboard and are you having this issue?
If I wanted to un install it this keyboard how can you do that without restoring my Os from twrp backup?

Can't answer your actual question, but I've been using the Nexus 4 camera on my Note II and I'm very happy with it. The Photosphere feature might seem a bit of a gimmick at first, but once you get used to it, I think it's wonderful. You need touchwiz for Samsung cameras to work...unless you do some modding...there's a guy in the s3 forum who got tw camera working on rootbox

This is crazy the stock ROM has amazing camera features but the screen brightness is very low and also the color saturation is very yellowish that's why I installed this custom rom.
I will check on that s3 thread and if you have a direct link for that please post that here.
