Hi XDA users.
What kernel does match with Atomic GB ?
First, Atomic GB ... maybe it'll be one of the my favorite GB roms.
The theme is great and perfomance is really exelent.
But.. it doesn't work to turn on Wi-Fi in there.
So, I've looked for the best kernel.
I flashed LuPus kernels.
- v7 420p
- v7 720p
- Stock GB&ICS
But they all have a error at least.
Please tell me the best kernel you think.
Thanks for the reading my question.
That rom is made for xperia arc. Not xperia play because they are incompatible.

I just two days ago got an Xperia Play, and I'm wondering what's the easiest way to get to VANILLA (not launchered) Gingerbread, and with ICS coming out I do not want SE's bloatware.
I considered freezing Sony Ericsson Home.apk then read you can mess up your phone. :l
oh! try to get cm9 with android 4.0.4 fxp 119 for xperia play!
a full aosp rom!
no junkwares from Sony!

AWESOOOOOME! Is it a final build yet though?
Can I use flashtool? I'm new to rooting (you have no idea how bad that sounds to some Australians, oh man)
(I think I'll try ICS++ first, is there anywhere I can get CWM for Play?)
My advice is to use AOKP. With Cyanogen, I had problems with data, not with AOKPlay

For the Recovery, I have a tutorial to install it, but it's in French. If you need a translation, PM me : phonandroid.com/forum/xperia-play-cwm-recovery-avec-bootloader-verrouille-t10220.html

Is the battery life good/game compatibility good? If not then forget it.
Also, at this time, would it just be possible to install the clean GB Home.APK launcher file?

aha ok iwill download it thx bro !! :good:
Gin2Jellybean root works just fine..
If you are having trouble though, flash this Superuser zip in recovery, it is right from SuperUser's developer website
http://downloads.noshufou.netdna-cdn.com/superuser/Superuser-3.1.3-arm-signed.zip
try mine
if you want to have a ICS Rom (Android 4) with all ICS Features try marphyton's Rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1854682
if you want to have a GB-Rom (Android 2.3.7) with Xperia T Design:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1649368
ICS is not so good for gaming unless you overclock cpu. With GB you get better gaming Performance.
...markphyton made his Rom with Sony Developers. That means it based on original Sony ICS for Xplay.

Its all about preference use GB rom if you want everything working. Use doomkernel for GB roms its more stable and reliable.
Don't forget you need to unlock your bootloader to flash a kernel

AW: [Q] r800i rom/kernel
When you want to use a gingerbread Rom use the lupus kernel. This kernel is newer, so it is more stable and you have a better performance.

Is there an Xperia S lockscreen mod for the Xperia play? I see a lot for other devices but not the Xperia Play r800x. Any luck?

Look for the Lockscreen on the Second post. I'm not sure if you're looking for ICS or GB, but this is for GB.

I was using stock rom 2.3.4 and it didn't give service.
For NxtLockscreen you have to modify framework, so on stock ROM or any other else, where isn't this special modification, it will not work. But every better custom ROM have this lockscreen modification (eg. AuroraPlay, Gin2Jelly/KittKat, NXT...).
