Hi,
I rooted my Desire and installed CyanogenMod Stable 7.0.3 following the guide at CyanogenMod's Wiki. I rooted it with Unrevoked and I installed CyanogenMod via ROM Manager 4.3.2.4.
However, there is no 3G data connection, while SMS, calling and wifi are working fine.
Some more system specs:
Bravo PVT3 SHIP S-ON.
HBOOT-0.93.0001
MICROP-051d
RADIO-5.11.05-27
I have tried
- Fiddeling with Settings -> Wireless and Networks.
- Getting S-off with Unrevoked. This has failed, but does it matter?
- Calling *#*#4636#*#*. In there, I change to "GSM only", but it says "fail because missing/unknown APN". It then changes itself to "WCDMA Preferred", and the triangle for "No avaliable network" shows up in the staus bar.
I find it hard to believe noone else has had a similar problem, but I cannot find an equal thread on the forum.
What would you suggest I do? Thanks in advance for any help!

Reflash of radios might be in order if other users of rom are not experiencing problems. Here is Orig Radio Thread with great info however links dont appear to be working. Try for latest Radio links in Captain_Throwbacks sig.
Not sure which kernel is being used but at time I have had to reflash a kernel too.

The radio you have listed is 2.15.00.09.01 and the latest one I linked is 2.15.00.12.19
I have bought htc evo 4g sprint from ebay. The calls function are properly working but i can.t connect to internet because there is no setting for net. I also visited to reliance web but they are also no aware how to set internet setting.
solution for this problem may be :
dail ##000000#
then select edit mode
then select mobile directory number(mdn)
here you have to enter your mobile number then press ok
after that press menu then press on commit modification then mobile restart automatically

ok did that. i loaded the virtuos rom , and it looks nice , only one problem. ive been having this problem even with the verizon rom. whenever the screen timeout activates where the screen goes dark , the phone just reboots itself. the same happens if i press the button at the top to turn the screen off.. the phone reboots. why is that? as long as i change the setting to * never turn off screen * . it never reboots

NO!! Only use roms that are specifically made for your phone.
Do otherwise will give you an expensive paperweight.

hi
guys let me introduce myself first
My name is Russ im from the philippines
my first phone was iphone 4s then Lumia (which i somewhat regret) now i have swapped it for an HTC ONE X
Now my problem is, an OTA update popped out of my screen and i have already downloaded it
my phone restarted then " team win recovery project " started.
I have no idea what im supposed to do but i clicked install anyways
Which gave me an error "error file zip extraction" or something similar to that
So i just did a reboot
After that i checked if my phone is rooted using Root Checker
I got a message that says " Sorry! this device does not have a proper root access " which i assumed that my phone is actually not rooted.
Now the real question is, What is the problem? why cant i install OTA Update
Im a " Noob " when it comes to this kind of stuffs so please no Acronyms!
Thanks guys!
EDIT (Additional informations)
i checked if this phone has a custom rom installed (as i googled stuffs about android)
Settings > About>Software Information
Android Version 4.0.4
HTC sense 4.1
Software number 2.17.707.3
So i assume i have a stock rom?
another one is i hold volume down+power button
This info showed up

I am lost and i dont know the right direction. Maybe people here can help me.
I thank you in advance!
EDIT: Just found out what CID is for
MY Phone's CID is HTC_044
ro.carrier is: HTC - Asia-SEA-WWE
EDIT:
I have a feeling that my rom is actually in its "stock" form and doesnt need flashing
what my real problem re-locking the bootloader and removing "Team win recovery project"
Please do correct if what i think is actually wrong, thank you!
Main objective : To have Stock Rom so i can update to HTC Sense 5 with its features ( i dont want custom rom . . )

Hello,
I would like to ask for advice when trying to launch the HTC Wildfire S.
When turning to again and again reset.
Do HBOOT I get, but if you choose here as FACTORY RESET a second screen appears with FACTORY RESET but for a few seconds (about 5) to reset the phone again and it repeats over and over again.
Advice on how to try to find out if he goes phone still working.
Many thanks in advance

And by the following: "do you have adb/fastboot set up" did you mean exactly what?
Unlock I made up in attempts to revive the phone. After unlocking, I tried to upload the original ROM (RUU) - which is played on the phone apparently well (there has been no error message) but after restarting the phone still behaved as describing
Many thanks again for further advice

Adb/fastboot are programs used for interacting with android devices for development by unlocking the bootloader you have these items.
Judging by what you have said you are stuck in a bootloop. I suggest flashing a custom recovery for the 2012 wildfire s and then flashing a custom rom. The ruu may not have worked for a few reasons but mainly because your bootloader is unlocked.

Hello,
thanks for the link (so that we talked about the same procedure). I have followed the steps and installed CWM.
But basically the original problem persists. After starting the phone after selecting the start and Recovery, CWM menu displayed only for a few seconds and the phone will reset again.
I also noticed unusual features:
After connecting the phone USB cable to power supply (charger or PC), the phone automatically turns on.
Again thanks in advance for further advice

Hmmm. I'm beginning to suspect a hardware issue. Can you relock your bootloader using the command
fastboot OEM lock
And then try to run a RUU on your device?
