Hey guys I have a question is there any way to get the Sprint epic 4g touch to work with boost mobile or metro pcs here in Los Angeles? I want to give this phone to my dad but that's the carriers he uses,
Thanks!

There is a way to flash to both. Use the search function here on the forums or Google. I promise you will find it in the first try.

So I currently own both e4gt and gs3 on Sprint and I'm tempted to make the jump to Metro since they have lte in my area and Sprint won't have it till Q2 of next year ; I'm hesitated because I love flashing roms and there isn't a specific forum for the device. Could someone give me some advice on it? TIA

Since the phone is really a sprint device I'd assume the sprint roms would work on a flashed gs3. If 4G works after the phone is flashed I'd love to know because sprint's data speeds are despicable

I wouldn't flash it over to Metro since I wouldn't have 4g lte. I'd sell both sg2&sg3 and buy the Metro gs3. I'm just wondering what ROM I could flash.

Oh... I didn't know metro was going to be carrying it. If the hardware is the same as the us variants (dual core 1.5 and 2 gigs ram) I would try one of those. The first hurdle is getting root access

I knew there was an archive of stock ROMS on here somewhere but I haven't been able to find it. Other than flashing a verizon stock-- is there anything else I need to do to make a Sprint phone work with Verizon? (I'm talking about bringing it into the store so they can activate it on a friends plan)
You can't do it the way you are describing it.

So, is it possible to use a Sprint SII with Verizon?
or, do you know of another way to do it?
I think the only way you would get it to work with Verizon Towers, is to put it on Page Plus, or some other Sprint carrier that allows roaming on Verizon, and use a Verizon hacked prl.
It can be done. You need a donor phone and to manually program it with the info from the donor phone.

It has to have a clean esn. Meaning donor phones bill has to be paid up even if it was not paid at time of disconnection.

I have a epic 4g flashed to boost mobile
I have recently found out that they have 4g service now
Does anyone know how to activate it on my phone if its even possible

Not possible. You could just buy a boost et4g and get 4g.
I like to break stuff!
I know of a way but it's probably not XDA approved. I'll just say you need a friend that also has the E4GT on Boost or Sprint and you need to do some editing in the ##DATA# menu.
That's all I will say about that.

It is possible and can be done, just follow and you will be piggybacking on sprint 4g wimax while on boost I did during my boost ET4 days.

Well if you backed up your ha/AAA keys for 3g data and still have the original meid for the sprint account, then you can. Just have to replace the Verizon 3g keys with sprints 3g keys and swap the meid back to sprint.
There is also more settings to edit but there are many guides here on Xda that will help flash phones to other carriers.
