Hi Friends,
I installed Carbon ROM for my Galaxy Note 2, i love the rom and everything is working great
But i fount that there is no camera APP by default so i download Cymera, Pudding Camera and UCAM Ultra
Now the problem is all of the camera APPS are capturing the pic at 1280x720 resolution
I checked all the settings and there is no setting to save the pics after the 720 resolution
How it is possible? is there any software bug or problem of the hardware
Please guide me, i use my camera apps everyday and cant live without it
Try zoom fx

Just use both for a while and choose the one you liked best.
Personally, I stay with the stock camera, but camera 360 has more options.
Sense cam is much better then camera360
Sense cam is better (for me)
Have u all used new version of camera 360 because it has lot of option and quality improvent from previous version.....i am using v 2.2.............and i used widescreen in both the app......in stock camera the picture clicked is of 1.45mb where as picture clicked through camera 360 is of 4.25 mb.......does it make any differnce......

Check the resolution's of both of those pictures then you can get to know which is better...generally pic's with high resolution are of higher mb.
Higher resolution=crispper picture .
HDR is the only advantage i feel that is there on camera 360 but that is available in the new sense 3.0 cam app , also you get panaroma mode aswell

Higher MB don't neccessarily mean higher resolution. It could mean lower compression for the jpegs that could be mistaken for higher quality (actually postprocessing of the picture from the sensor plays part in the quality before any compression).
I might be wrong but HDR on Camera360 is not HDR at all. To make proper HDR pictures you have to take several photos at different exposures and combine them to increase the dynamic range. What you get with Camera360 is a HDR-like effect that has nothing to do with actual HDR picture. In the camera API there is a control for the exposure setting and it can be used to automaticaly take three or more pictures at different settings then combine them with a HDR algorithm but so far I haven't found any software that does this (not that I've searched that hard anyway)
On topic: I've tried Camera360 but found it useless and I'm using the stock camera app when I don't have my DSLR with me.
HEy friends thanks for all your guidance......but u all are talking about sense 3.0 cam for htc desire hd.....i am having sense 2.0 in my htc desire hd ....i am having stock android gingerbread......can i have sense 3.0 cam on my stock rom......if yes than can you please guide me......i have tried htc evo sense 3.0 cam but it is getting force close.....

Well if u are rooted.. install any of the great roms posted here on XDA ..some of them have sense 2.0 cam by default...or u can try pushing 3.0 sense camera(search for the apk) through adb to system...if you dont know how to do it.. then read a bit..u will know..
hello
my friend have a n4, and i don't really know in the galaxy nexus why have not the HDR function ?
same android, same camera ( except the 8 megapixel)
anybody try the n4 camera app on galaxy nexus ? the HDR function is in ?

It will not work that way. Try CM10.1 ROMs, their camera app has HDR function

and the cm10.1 camera apk will work on stock ? maybe this way

Sorry won't work because CM10.1 camera use CM files permission i try it before and the camera was crashing every time that i was trying to open but the HDR is no that good anyway you have to use a tripod or it will be moved the photo is really sensitivity because it will take 3 photography on one shot

thanks the information, hopefully the next android release will be include the HDR
Use HDR Camera from the Play Store. Works better than the CM camera in my opinion, which had a tendency to blur photos.

done. but the n4 make better pictures. this is why i want to this feature in my gnex
thats easy
- with root explorer delete gallerygoogle.apk on system/app
- extract gallery.apk from cm10.1 file and move it to system/app (don't forget change permissions to rwx - rxx - rxx)
now you have hdr feature like N4 on your gnex with stock camera
i already test this on rootbox 4.2.2 ROM and no FC on camera

it takes better pictures because the actual camera in the N4 is better than the one in the G-nex. different lenses, larger MP etc.
HRD camera is a great way to get some "HDR" action on the Gnex. or you can download something like picsay pro and apply the HDR filter afterwords. no, its not TRUE HDR like the Nexus 4, but our hardware just isn't fast enough to take real HDR shots.

It will give you FC if you use stock... You r using a rom base on cm that's why may worked

Use a modified GAPPs like this one. I will get rid of photoshere and not sync photos to picasa but it will give you the HDR option. Its called :gapps-jb-20130301-signed-edited.zip
at this website ---http://goo.im/devs/qnhoang81/toroplus/AOKP
its easier to just install camera360 (free)....... the HDR functinon is FAR better with more options ..... as an added bonus you get all the other filters and functions as well

Hello everybody,
I'm using 1cebox's excellent Evervolv 4.2 rom, and camera mx because the default camera doesnt work. Problem is, when recording video at the highest quality, it is very choppy, if i step it down a notch it is smooth. Is this a known problem, or are other camera apps better? Thank you

When I have used Cm10.1, I always find an app camera that have a quality as good as cybershot but all of apps can't satisfy me. Vignette is an app that have a quality close to cybershot but it is very slow when saving a picture.
Now, I try lenovo camera app. It is great, the picture is as good as cybershot. A small bug is you can't see your scene that you want to take a picture ( a black screen with all functions you can touch and choose). Help anyone here can fix it?
Note : it only work on android 4.1+.
My internet is bad now so I will share link app in 24h or you can find in xda forum, maybe it have. Please, don't delete this thread in 24h.
Sorry for my bad English
