[Q] Are there any 2000mAh Replacement Back Covers? [UNANSWERED]

Heya guys,
I have the 2000mAh Extended battery kit.
I was wondering whether there are any replacement covers for the thickened battery covers the 2000mAh battery kit comes with, I'm just worried that if I break this cover, I don't want to buy the entire kit again, so I was wondering if there were any replacements you can buy online? I've checked eBay and other online markets, and wasn't able to find it.
If you guys know of any suppliers online who sells cool looking alternatives for the 2000mAh battery cover that came with the kit, could you guys link me there?

Yep i guess we are screwed, im waiting for the price of the kit going down again.

send a email to the people who make the kit and see if they do any different versions? or if you could get some extra ones like you have, what about covering them in vinal, painting to your own design etc

There is practically nothing you can do first of all the battery is in short supply, and no one who is using it would be willing to give one to you.
I suggest you get the otterbox case put it on and move on with life.

not a solution but if ur cover breaks just install a case made with hard material, without the battery cover

I'd like to buy one too, white color to be exact

did you buy the black or white kit? they both look like battery cover is not glossy. I'd like to know too..

i bought the black kit because I have the black galaxy s2. I currently use a bumper case, so i don't want the battery cover to be permanently damaged if anything happened to it.

Don't really prefer using the phone with an open back, hate when tons of dust from your pocket goes into the phone and you can't get it out without dismantling it

i use mine without a back cover because i lost mine. its ok i guess, will prefer if i can buy one thickened batttery cover individually instead of buying the extended battery again >.<

It is okay! Nothing beats the black though! Although i experiment with colours when buying a case.

Yes it makes the phone flush with the camera, I have the black one and it finishes it off nicely!
Once fitted you can put your phone down anywhere without worrying about nasty scratches on the bottom of the phone.

Sorry friend, but that's the first place I looked for it..tried every possible combination of "Samsung", "Galaxy S2", "extended battery cover", "GT-I9100", "oem", "original"...
In fact I have 2 extended batteries, had bought the Korean version first only to find that the cover doesn't fit, battery does though..then ordered the International version for which both fit perfectly.
Am trying to find an extended battery (official 2000mAH) cover only for the international version so I can sell it or exchange...
So, if anyone has seen one on an online store..plz do let me knw..thnx

i check with samsung service center here in PH. it seems the only for sale is the standard issue and can't buy the extended battery cover only

Unless you get one that has barely any more mAh than the original, pretty much any extended battery will be thicker than the original. It's never a good idea to use an extended battery that's thicker than the original battery with the original back cover. There's a reason extended batteries come with different back covers. Using the original cover with a thicker extended battery will place pressure on the battery, pressing it into the internal components. A lot of people have caused damage to various phones doing this, particularly to the screen. Everything might seem fine at first, but over time it can cause problems.
So, even if you find one that you can force the original back cover on with, it's just not the greatest idea. If you have to use the original back cover, you're better off getting a spare original battery.

It did a full recharge and I still had left 1 leds on.. Now I'm uploading some photos I did to it and with the GSII with the case

It's not that bad looking, and the most important it is useful

I bought a similar case from DX and it seems to be quite useful...though makes the phone very bulky.

Yep.. it's a bit bulky but to me it's even more ergonomic to hold the phone.. specially in landscape

So by the looks of this photo, it gives you an ADDITIONAL battery contained in this case. So does this effectively give you a 1650mAh + 2200mAh = 3850mAh battery ?

Yep.. If the phone is fully charged and I also turn on the case it won't consume the energy of the phone.. running on the battery of the case.. and when that's empty the battery of the phone kicks in..
When you don't use the phone and you turn on the case it will recharge the phone. When recharge completed the case auto turns off..

It is a after market product. The original battery pack by Samsung has been discontinued after some issues.

I thought that too.. but the reviews were good so I tried it.. luckily it works

not true.. becasue if you turn on the cover it will consume the battery of the cover and not the battery of the phone.. they sum up.. 2 separate batteries that work together as one..

Samsung's original 2000mah battery is the best. It will make the phone about 2mm Thicker. Battery thickness increases with the capacity. If you dont want your phone to be thicker then you cant have an extended battery. And the original battery is available on ebay

I'm using this one. OK... it doesn't look so perfectly slim, but it is perfect as replacement on a long flight, or if you don't care if your phone looks a bit heavier.

I have the genuine Samsung 2000 and find it very very good after a couple of cycles my battery life has easily doubled and I'm a heavy user. 12 hour working day Wifi/ data on all day bluetooth connection to car 2 hours a day many many calls, sms and emails every day. At the end of 'this' 12 hour shift my battery at around 50%.
I used my 'standard' case with the original back cover cut down to just below the camera to accommodate the extra thickness of the battery, so in my normal case the overall thickness is the same as if using standard battery.

Yes Samsungs 2000 battery is the best for me. Only 2mm more and a huge jump on batteryielife.

Genuine 2000mah is the best way to go, got mine for 21€ shiping included on amazon.

Original 2000mah is the best choice. It will give you about 25% plus of what you are getting. The added thickness makes the phone nicer to hold and protects the camera lens.

is it still possible to squeeze a gel case protector over the top, or does that extra 1mm or so prevent it?

The official Samsung 2000mah battery seems a bit pricey where I am. Is the any alternatives that you guys can recommend?
