Hello!
First, sorry. My english is poor.....i know.
I install Pac 4.2.2 in recovery mode with CWM. Now i have twrp , but when i try to flash old kernel and others ROM s like Turbo ROM (4.04/4.1.2) the system say "dont do this! Stupid idea" ( i cant remember exactly words ).
The only secure way to downgrade and use CWM again is boot in flashboot and flash the other ROM ?
Tks

U can do it bro. Just flash a kernel relating to the rom u need. Then copy the rom zip to ur sd card. Reboot into recovery and wipe data ,dalvik cache , cache and system then flash the rom

Just don't try to boot until you've flashed the right rom for the right kernel

Thx For All.... I Feel Happy
It's normally the kernel that causes issues. Keep a copy of advanced stock kernel on your sd the and a copy of your current kernel so you can switch about if you have problems flashing. Just don't reboot the system if its jb on an ics kernel and visa versa

I'm using the latest lewa from Delanoister for a few days. Suddenly after a reboot I get stuck on the BNC logo. I flash CM7 from MMB and still get stuck on Android text. I wipe data, format system and flash ROMs but still got stuck. What can I do? :crying:
Flashing ROM for more than half a year, first time got stuck on this
I tried Odin, but after that I got bootloop and stuck on the samsung animation. During using Odin I found this as attached

after wiping, finally got into system, but still when I go into recovery, I saw this as shown in attachment. And I tried flashing custom ROMs but can't get into system, only stock ROM flashed through Odin can. Do you know why?
you need custom recovery, root acces, at least android 2.3.x. anld ext4formatter.zip rlthe first time installing a custom rom. you problably miss atleast one.

My procedure:
flash stock ROM (2.3.x) -> boot into recovery and wipe data -> can boot into system -> flash CWM using Odin -> flash ext4formatter.zip using CWM -> reboot and flash PX-recovery -> reboot into PX-recovery -> flash custom ROM (CM7 by MMB)
until the last step everything was fine, but stuck on android text after flashing custom ROM. Maybe I miss rooting? thanks anyway and I will try later
root before flashing CWM

I have unlocked my downloader, rooted and installed cwm. But when trying to flash another Rom it fails. Even after flashing a new kernel first.
I get an error 7 and have to restore with flashtool.
A search seems to recommend updating cwm but I tried by flashing other kernels but it didn't help.

Is it always the same rom you're trying? + if you're bootloader unlocked then fastboot advanced stock kernel and go from there

Different roms. Have advanced stock kernel installed. Didn't fastboot install it but via the cwm.

R: [Q] flash rom with twrp
Just go to install and select the zip of the rom you want to flash, then slide the thing that appears and it will start installing. Then you can rebooting fastboot from twrp and flash kernel. Or flash it before installing, it's the same

Don't forget that when going from stock ROM, you need to wipe both caches, back up your data, wipe data & system, and then flash a new ROM and GApps. Click on that link
P.S: Go here to get an app that can reinstall individual apps & data from a Nandroid backup (I personally prefer TWRP though I like COTR [Cannibal Open Touch Recovery] too since I'm an official beta tester).
Okay thanks
