Hi,
i just flashed xperia ultimate HD rom (2.0 and 3). everything is fine:laugh: except the 'symbol' button on the slideout keyboard and also the world symbol in the keyboard. These two keys are working with every rom except ultimate HD. I really love this ROM and want to use it. But these problems are really annoying. Please Help me. Is there any solution for it..?
Hmm sym and the globe buttons are only working with stock keyboard app.
Most keyboard app of stock-based custom Roms are port from newer Xperia device, which none of them has qwerty physical keyboard. Thus only stock 2011 keyboard works.
You'll have to flash he stock keyboard

SwiftKey 3 Keyboard Free
The best I ever used :highfive:
I use the donate version :good:
I use default ics keyboard with autocorrect off. It doesn't lag like any else.
Also swype is my second keyboard.
Swiftkey is good but it annoys the hell outta me at times.

A.I.Type Keyboard - No predictions (I turned it off) and stuff like that. Pure keyboard with beautiful WP7 and WP8 skin.
I use Multiling Keyboard. As suggested by the name supports many different languages.

My vote goes to stock HTC keyboard and the patch created by jonasl for cm7 and cm9..... I simply love the HTC keyboard...... So simple and yet so effective and moreover, it never lagged !

I loved the HTC stock keyboard when i had swype (T-mo app) but since i put a custom ROM on it, that's gone... and i just can't type without swype any more...

Hello,
I'm using an alternative rom (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1473344) and I have a problem. The keyboard is too small. How can I resize it ?
Thank you
Why don't you try one of the keyboard replacement apps? There are a lot of good ones, but Smart Keyboard Pro (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.cdeguet.smartkeyboardpro&hl=en) was my favorite on Android...
Or go keyboard that i am usi g now

Well, if you want to spend a few bucks on a nice keyboard replacement, try SwiftKey keyboard.
I'm using for almost an year and it works really fine.

...and as taste always varies I'm a big Swype fan (although the keyboard is a bit smaller if I switch to German - but it's ok for me and English is just fine).
I'm a swiftkey + 1. Although stock keyboard is fine.

I'm currently on thr Xperia Pureness ROM. I Love the jj hybrid keyboard as it is small and compact, perfectly for my needs. Because it does not use almost the half of my screen size.
Can someone please tell me the name of that keyboard and where to download it?
And is there any way to change the height of my current keyboard?
Thanks a lot

I'd like that keyboard with which you can write words just sliding.. What's the name of that Keyboard? Is there a way to have it on Gingerbread?

How about this one? It's one of the most popular keyboards for android!
Test it!

I'm on CarbonROM with Faux kernel and although I like the default Android AOSP keyboard, it feels a little bit sloppy. Not as fast as the stock keyboard before I flashed. Another thing that annoys me is that I have to hold down the enter key to access the emojis. Nothing big, just a small thing.
Anyway, what keyboard are you guys on?
Stock sense 5 keyboard i hear nice things about swiftkey though
Sense keyboard here too. Somehow every third party keyboard keeps lagging for me. Even when I use aosp, I use the stock cm keyboard

I just installed 4.4 kitkat and coming from a sense rom the keyboard was really good, is there any mod to have the keyboard only? I can't find anything...
