Is this the righ floor? Need help with... Factory Mode? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Not sure if im experiencing a factory mouse issue or not. No pics in the threads.
Issue: System info window keeps popping up in menu.(check img)
Occured: After flashing a stock Att md5 from liquid smooth ROM
Attempts:
-Reflashed several stock variations of the md5 through odin.
-installed terminal emulator and tried the typical "factory mode" that is pointed to Verizon users. Entering "echo -No...."
-Initiated self doubt then banged head on wall.
-ReReReFlashed stock ATT with injected root (downloaded from XDA thread)
Interesting points: All my roms and stock md5's have been downloaded from XDA. Im 100% sure im using the correct version. I noticed in attempting to finally sign up for XDA I was initially blocked from doing so because "in attempts to block spam, Verizon IPs are blocked" That's Weird because I'm an ATT user and was on my 4g network.

When you have flashed stock through odin or the root injected stock ROM, have you done a factory reset, cleared data, returned it to a completely out of the box state ?
Where did you get the phone ? Is it new or did you buy it second hand ?
I've seen others with this and they can use the phone but the lockscreen is gone and the ppower button menu is gone as well. Is the imei corrupted ?

Phone info setup as a device administrator

Hello,
I have had my phone for a while now, but today was the first time since I got the phone that I looked at the device administrators area (settings / security / device administrators) and I noticed that there was an item called "Phone Info" that was activated by default and after reading about what it is supposed to do, I decided to deactivate it, but I was unable to do so. My questions therfore are:
1.) what is the purpose of this item?
2.) why can I not deactivate it?
3.) is it normal for it to be activated by default?
4.) if is not needed than how do I get rid of it?
In case it helps, my phone is rooted and I am still running the stock 4.1.2 ROM that came with the phone.
A few days ago I tried out the "All In One" 4.3 Stock ROM from Thunder Stick, but it was not working for me to well so I restored my nandroid backup of my original stock ROM so I am not sure If the other ROM has anything to do with it or not or if the setting has always been like that, but as I said before, I just noticed it today and would like to know what it is and how to deactivate it if I can.
Thanks for any and all replies,
Mtcell

Here is another one that shows the permissions dialog and where I should be able to deactivate it, but pressing the deactivate button has no effect.
That is weird. I am checking my s3 now but this is all it shows on my optimus G. Maybe it is a Samsung thing?

Edit: here is what my s3 shows under those settings, but remember, my s3 isn't activated. Maybe it is just the activation stuff?

Thanks for the reply. After doing some research I have discovered that it is part of some corporate security thing that sprint has on some of the newer s3's (see the attached screenshot) Anyway, I have frozen the app since there is no way to disable it. That will work for now until I change my stock ROM in a few weeks.
If anyone else has this app setup as a device administrator and wants to disable it than you can use the pro version of titanium backup or the free version of sd maid to freeze the app like I have done. Note, your phone must be rooted to use these apps.

[Q] Is my SPH-L710 Toast?

Hi guys, I've been scouring Google for 3 days now and can't come up with an answer, everything says use Odin for this and use Odin for that... well I can't.
A few days ago I downloaded an app from the Google store Linuxonandriod or something like that, it's pretty much an installer to place Ubuntu on your phone side by side with Android, the instructions began with rooting the phone, I began that process and believe I accidently loaded the incorrect pda to the phone (I have so many files now on my comp, I have no clue which one I selected). Odin rebooted the phone and that's that.
If I try to turn on the phone it goes to the first screen that just says SAMSUNG then turns off, never getting to the Samsung Galaxy III screen. The USB on the phone seems to have been botched, none of my computers will recognize it (Windows or Linux), the phone will not even charge. I can however get into both recovery and download modes without problem.
Naturally, download mode does no good because the USB is useless and I do not have clockwork mod installed on the phone to bypass the verification error.
I tried to simply install clockwork via recovery in hopes that would do something, but I get a verification error with that.
Is there anyway around this using the SD card or am I holding a $300 paperweight?
Thanks

Thanks, for the link. I did check it out, but couldn't figure out what the poster was talking about with drive letters and such. That dmesg | tail told me nothing about my sd. I unzipped everything to the card by a different method but my the computer still wouldn't recognize the phone, so booting back into windows did nothing.
Sorry for the delay in response, I've been extremely busy with work.
I'm still at a total loss on this.

[Q] Got a little too custom and rooting happy....

In the last couple days I ended up moving my way up the Stock firmware going from N900TUVUDNE6 4.4.2 w/ root Knox in tact to N900TUVUDNF4 4.4.2 w/ root K.I.T. Within the last 24-hours I was tinkering around with the ROM and I cannot believe I was so derpy but I made a few changes with some apps and ended up doing a reboot. Well when I went to reboot the normal first boot screen came on

(mine is the N900T, I pulled the image from a google image search) and it goes blank after that. I can get into Download Mode and Recovery no problem, and I almost feel like if I just try to re-flash the stock firmware I will be good to go again. My biggest concern about doing this is losing my root and I wouldn't very much like that simply because to get it back would mean tripping Knox. So, I guess what I am looking for is someone who might have a stock System Dump of the N900TUVUDNF4 with root. Even better if it were in a flashable format for Odin or Recovery. I'm also open to suggestions to other-work arounds. I've tried reflashing bootloader, CSC, modem, non_hlos, and recovery with no luck. Before updating the ROM I did to a factory reset so that it cleared all data for a fresh install and have since cleared data/factory reset and clear cache. So, like I said, I am open to suggestions ideas, etc. I've done a lot of research and tinkering around trying to figure this out, but it finally came down to needing to reach out to someone.
Additional Info:
At one point I was getting ADB when it was sitting on the black screen, but now I can only get ADB when I choose update with ADB in recovery, otherwise Odin is picking it up.

you start with nf4, flash ne4 kernel, root with towel root and reflash nf4 kernel
worked great for me

M9 boot loop

Hello there! Apologies for the vague thread name, I'm actually unsure what is wrong with the phone -long story short, I've bought it in CashConverters, thinking I could earn some (M9 for thirdy quid? bloody hell).
The phone does turn on, so I don't think it's hard-bricked. When the phone is turned on, it goes to this menu
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
REBOOT and REBOOT TO BOOTLOADER result in the same, as does turning it on after POWER DOWN.
After pressing BOOT TO DOWNLOAD MODE, this menu pops up, and pretty much goes back to the first one upon VOL UP or VOL DOWN.
BOOT TO RECOVERY MODE does work, and results in this menu
I have once attempted to "apply an update from SD card", it resulted in this, and decided not to test my luck.
Couple things to note, I do IT for a living, started working on it yesterday, 2pm - 2am, mostly reading through XDA and android pages, didn't manage to find a solution yet, and I'll stab myself with a spoon if I failed at searching.
My question is: can I fix it? Is it worth it?
You could flash a RUU.exe if its a tmobile, verizon, sprint etc. Other than that i dont know... You cant even see what firmware number you got

I assume it's O2 because it says himauhl_o2_uk, plus an O2 sticker. Other than that, I don't know, as I can only access recovery, and literally got it in that state.
Edit: I assume it's caused by someone disconnecting the phone while updating through HTC Sync, but I am unsure.
I am having this same exact issue with my Sprint M9. I have tried installing the 0PJAIMG from the SD Card and no love. Get error E:footer is wrong signature verification failed.
Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Flashed stock rom via ODIN and now my phone thinks it is 32 GB

TLDR; Soft bricked phone trying to install TWRP, flashed stock rom on it, now phone says its 32 GB when its really 256 GB.
Hi all,
So I got a brand new Note 10+ a couple weeks ago and tried to flash TWRP onto it thinking it was easy like it used to be. Boy i was wrong. Stupid iphone user mistake.
So, I googled how to fix the soft brick. Downloaded the most recent firmware and flashed it via ODIN.
I flashed the following
BL
AP
CP
CSC (not HOME_CSC)
I setup my phone and personalised it like i had before and just now got a notification saying my phone is almost out of storage.
So i click the notification naturally being like what the hell already?
And long and behold my phone is now 32 GB instead of 256 GB.
I googled ways to fix this but all the ways say to flash the regular CSC which i already did!
Can anyone help me?
I've provided screenshots of the DF command and the storage settings.

This could happen if you have flashed standalone AP file without CSC file same time.
Stock AP file must be flash with BL CP and Home_CSC at same time unless it may shrink your data.
Thank you for your response, however i flashed the AP file at the same time as everything else.
If i was to flash the AP file including everything else but change out the CSC file for the CSC_HOME will i keep my data on my phone because it was a pain to set it all back up.
No...
Is there a way to keep my data or no?

If you use HOME_CSC_* it will not wipe data If you use CSC_* then it will wipe data. But looking to your device issue, probably you need to wipe it.
