What were you doing with the phone just prior to this occurring? You can try reinstalling your recovery either via PC36IMG through the bootloader, or you can try to push a new recovery to the phone via fastboot if you have ADB set up on your phone. I would start there. If that doesn't work you may have a bad partition on your phone, for which the only fix is to replace your phone.

[Q] Can't unroot phone! Help!

I got a replacement phone from Sprint because my phone screen cracked. I'm trying to return it to stock, but now it won't boot past the fastboot/bootloader screen. I can't even get into recovery - when I choose that, it just sits there on the white startup screen. I used the unrevoked forever radio S-OFF/S-ON tool to get it to S-ON, and that's as far as I got.
Here's what it says at the top:

You need to flash a custom recovery, and then flash a ROM. There are many instructions on how to do this .

Some more info might be helpful. Are you S-on or S-off? What ROM were you running? What Hboot version? Can you access the bootloader and/or recovery?

Looks like it hasn't even been rooted. Could be a few things going on. You can try and unlock the bootloader using HTC Dev, then install a custom recovery and flash a ROM and see if it works afterwards. Other than that, I don't have any suggestions, particularly since there is no RUU (ROM Update Utility) than you can run, especially since you're S-on.
