I have an issue with wallpaper scrolling on every ROM I flash on my device. When using Nova launcher the wallpaper scrolling will work for a small period of time, but then it will randomly stop working and restarting the launcher / device does not fix the issue. Any ideas on what might be the issue? I'm currently on Jedi Mind Trick JB

Hi
I am running the Apex Launcher on my GS2. Every time i restart my phone the home screen wallpaper shifts halfway horizontally so only half of the wallpaper is visible and the other half is just black.
Any help on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.
Thanks
The problem has already been reported in apex launcher thread, and it has wallpaper zooming issue too, its upto the dev to fix it in the upcoming releases.

not a fix but a work around till a fix comes in
when the size of your wallpaper on you home screen don't work
go to apex settings then home screen setting scroll down to the wall paper section and under mode change it to single screen this for some reason reduced the size of my wall paper and fit just right. hope this helps everyone else.
Hi guys,
I'm running AOSP 4.2.1 on my Galaxy Nexus and it's been a bugging me a bit that the wallpapers (static ones) wouldn't scroll. I'm with Nova Launcher Prime and I did check - wall scrolling IS enabled. Tried disabling/enabling it - no luck. Moreover, Quickpic only displays a portrait-oriented frame for cropping pictures when I want to set them as wallpapers.
Is this Android related? Is it some bug? Can we get around it?
Thanks!
Hey,
I have noticed a bit of stutter sometimes when I close or open the touchwiz app drawer..
It stutters the first time you open/close the app drawer, but after that it is smooth for sometime. But the issue is still present if you open the drawer again at a later time.
Also in the settings menu, scrolling at first, there is a stutter but then it becomes smooth again..
Anyone know if this can be fixed?
Thanks.
ROM?
Kernel?
Any mods?
Need more details for a solution

I get super lag when swiping pages in drawer for the first time. And then again after a couple of minutes if I haven't used the drawer.

Problem with ICS is that it doesn't have project butter built in which means a lot of the problems Google fixed in Jelly Bean as far as animations and transitions are still present. If you want a smoother experience on TouchWiz I highly suggest updating to Jelly Bean. Otherwise find a ICS AOSP rom and it'll run faster.
So I updated my note 8 to mc1 (still 4.1.2) and for some reason scrolling wallpapers don't work on nova/apex launcher plus apex launcher runs like Crap stutters, anyone know why this would be?
Really wish I never updated issues like this plus the screen stopping for a sec every now and then, tried update through kies because I was hoping for 4.2 Arrrgh lol serves me right.

Under nova settings go to desktop and wallpaper scrolling and then force. I run nova and have no issues except for the wallpaper scrolling.
Hope this helps.
life is better with r00t
Yesterday I installed Pixel Launcher on my OP3.
I'm running Freedom OS 3.5.5, Stock kernel, root & xposed.
Whenever I make a New tab next to my homescreen my homescreen turns blurry, restarting doesn't fix it Unfortunately.

Change your wallpaper
The blurry wallpaper is due to the stock launcher, that blurs the left page to the assistant and the effects remain in the rest of launchers (I was about 1 month to realise of it lol), my solution was to apply the wallpaper from the wallpaper chooser of the app (in my case the nova launcher), hope it helps you to solve the problem!!
