Whatever happened to Ubuntu? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

What do you mean? It's still in development at Canonical. The version released a couple months ago was only a developer preview; it wasn't meant to be a daily driver. Check their website and their nightlies: http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-touch-preview/daily-preinstalled/current/.

Was just hoping threads of the development would explode all around android development.
Thanks for clarifying

In his defence, considering it uses CM's chroot/kernel, it's got 'something' to do with Android development...
But, if you want news on the Ubuntu phone OS bromandude, theres a dedicated forum for it.

I dont think Ubuntu would be a success on gNex or any other phone altogether.

E4GT is not listed at Sprint

I was at the Sprint site and under 4G phones the E4GT is not listed. How odd. HAHAHAHAHA
The Photon is listed but not this phone... makes ya wonder..
Would post the link but there is restriction to my account so can't.
I'm not sure where you were looking but it shows up for me.

Your remark is that of a child. Try and grow up please. If you have nothing good to say "zip it, lock it and put it in your pocket."
Anyways if you go to sprint (dot) com and then SHOP and 4G the click 4G Devices and then click the phone tab.
Its not there.
Sort of odd.
Guess they don't update their site to much.

Galaxy Nexus Toolkit donation

Hi All!
30min ago i donated some $ for an excellent (imho) Toolkit. As the program says itself: only donators can easily uprage Toolkit to ver 9.4 and above. Does anyone of You know how long do I have to wait for permission/code etc. to upgrade my Toolkit 9.1?
go ask the developer of the toolkit.
I did but no response
You're holding it wrong.
Sent from my i9250
So you have to 'donate' in order to upgrade a toolkit that doesn't do anything you can't do yourself? Sounds legit.

+1. Same concept as retards on craigslist charging stupid people to root their phones. Dumb people with "smartphones."

lol couldn't help myself. OP try sending a PM to whoever scripted the toolkit, they're going to be the best person to ask.

Ubuntu for phones

Have you guys heard of Ubuntu for phones? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpWHJDLsqTU
I gotta say it looks amazing in my opinion, I really like the clean, crisp interface, the edge sliding is a pretty good innovation as it keeps the phone very clean and no icons actually need to be on the screen, I actually now look at my phone and really want it to do that too! plus it was nice of them to demonstrate the whole thing on a g-nex
Waiting for a working rom! (early 2014 as it seems)
Meanwhile I'm going to try and copy their design to my phone lol :laugh:
Few days too late buddy...
It is on the front page of XDA &&& we have had multiple threads already, that admins had to shut down....But this is the main one now - > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2078691
How did you miss it ?? lol
And actually.. The Os will be releasing for Galaxy Nexus within the upcoming weeks... The first phone to have Ubuntu as primary OS will be releasing in 2014.
