[Q] AOSP Drivers? - AT&T, Rogers, Bell, Telus Samsung Galaxy S III

Hey guys, really sorry if this is in the wrong section but i figured since it's a question it belongs here....
So i want to make my own aosp rom but i don't know what drivers i need to pull to build...like i know i'll need android_device_samsung_d2att but what else specifically? Thanks!

You should try paranoid android 3.15 and flash this kernel. Really good stuff. Sorry not to answer your question.

I believe he means he is building from source. I don't think this applies.

[Q] is paranoid based on cm10?

I'm using paranoid. I'm just curious to know whether paranoid is based on cm10? So if cm10 bugs get fixed then will the same get fixed in paranoid too?
sorry for this question
I couldn't find it on the paranoid thread. That's why I asked.

what updates? lol.
first of all, you didn't specified - CDMA or GSM. Second of all, there are no UPDATES. You find the rom in the Development thread. if a new version is out you flash the whole rom again - That's not an update, that's a new rom, with new stuff in it.
But an update is new things ........no difference
sorry

[Q] Ultima Rom help

A bit of a root n00b question, but:
Will UltimaROM work on a SGH-i747/SGH-i747M? I would like to install this ROM but am not sure if it is compatible with this specific type of Galaxy S3.
I'm, not sure if this ROM is only for the SGS3 GT-i9300. or if it will work on the SGH-i747/SGH-i747M
Thanks
PS it won't let me post this in the Q&A thread, so if the mods want to move it there then perfect!
If you are talking about this ROM then only flash it if you want to brick your phone.
OK, i wont.
Is the AOKP rom OK?

If it's the AOKP in this section then yeah. You cannot flash any GT-i9300 roms for i747.

I tried that first to be honest, but not from the guide directly, just guessing what might work, i know MIUI has init.d things that seperate it from AOSP
PS: Are you the same guy i saw over on MIUI forum?? (I'm XeoShion there)

Well that's worrying, Galaxy Nexus's Community definitely seems to be shrinking fast

[Q] Device Tree Repo

Anyone know where I can find it? I want to try and port a few Roms to the G3. Sorry for the n00b question. I've built for Nexus in the past, but never needed to locate/integrate the device tree. Thanks in advance ?

To my knowledge, it doesn't exist and needs to be built.
@mastibeta gotcha, thanks for the heads up.

[Q] Implement Recovery in Kernel

Hi all,
I lately tried to build a stock kernel from source. It worked well, but I have 2 questions now.
Thats the first kernel i ever built. So I'm really new to that.
How can implement a recovery to the kernel?
And after flashing my kernel I can't modify files in /system. What do I have to do that I get root access with my kernel?
I hope someone can help me.
May be that thread helps: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3301605
