I'm not sure if this is a ROM feature or can be implemented seperatelly but the only thing that bothers me on the GNex is that the notification light is blinking in a very slow rate. So let's say that I have the green colour set of SMSs, if I take a look on my phone the odds I see the light are 50%. To make sure if there's an update I have to look at it for like 10 seconds which is pretty annoying. I want the light always on as it was with my HTC Desire. Is there an app for that? Is this a ROM request?
Thanks in advance.
The BAMF Paradigm ROM lets you control the LED notification - both the frequency of the blinks and also allows you to choose a different color for different types of notifications.
Alternatively, if you're on a different ROM, check out the Light Flow app.

Light Flow did the trick! Thank you!

Hey guys, question. On a black scree , I noticed the screen is not pure black, it has some light. Only noticeable in dark rooms, even if the screen is on minimum brightness.

That's normal. The device is designed as such to reduce transition time

I'm guessing there's no way to make it completely black?
I used to have a SGS2 and I really liked the blacks, without that light (at least not as noticeable)
Is there any difference? Battery or something?
Anything????? I can't be the only one that wants this
Amoled already shows black as 'more black' than tft displays. Currently no tft/oled technique exists that will display black as actual black (like when the screen is off) afaik.
Having said that, I really like the black on my gnex. Dark enough for me.

I recently installed MIUI Australia and was blown away by the level of brightness I could increase the screen to...it made my usually dark and drab Xperia Play screen look AMAZING!
However, this ROM wasn't for me and I've returned to stock.
Is there a hack or anything to achieve these same results?
Thanks
Maybe if you disable the auto brightness in your stock rom

Because of the amoled screen the GNex has which of these would save more battery,
a white background with brightness at 0% (dimmed),
Or
a black background with brightness at 100%(full)?
I know dark backgrounds save more battery just always wondered about screen brightness.

I remember someone doing an experiment on that. Black with full brightness lasted longer

I am not the expert but I am guessing , the brightness has nothing to do with the pixels shown. It is just makes them dimmer or brighter. So whether it is black or white pixel it will make it brighter .
Hence I think irrespective of the color pixel it will still consume battery if you have black or white pixel

I think this is what you are looking for

I don't have this temperature issue on my A70.
For white balance settings you need a white background (turn off dark mode) to notice the changes as you move the slider, it's very subtle but noticeable.
I think your right mate I can tell I tiny a out of difference but I think the main issue is the screen on my Mi A1 is very cool and I'm used to that lol

Set screen mode to vivid and just one step left for cool. Try activate blue light filter in display settings and move opacity scale all to the right, then move it all to the left, after that turn off blue light filter...
