Audio Enhancement - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Is the SRS WOW HD panel been ported for use on the Galaxy Nexus? Is there any mod that is capable of being used on the device?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I've had a great deal of luck with NexusLouder. EQ and sound quality fixes.

This belongs in Q&A, this has nothing to do with development.
OT: All of the audio mods are essentially just equalizer presets, so just use a media player with an eq or DSP manager on roms that include it.

I'm sorry about posting in the wrong section. I understand what you guys are saying but there is something special about the way that SRS treats the audio and that's what I'm after.

Why are you cross-posting this in multiple threads?
Yes there a beats audio patch for Samsung devices that works on gnex and it makes it sound a lot better then stock.

Yes, but, then Voodoo had claimed Beats Audio did a better job than itself.
So, it's OK to use Beats Audio.
However, you'll find Beats Audio pretty useless if you're using an Equalizer.
Because Beats Audio is simply a Build-in Equalizer preset to make your phone sounds louder n clearer only.

Thanks for clarifying. I was wrong but you can still use DSP Manager. CM9 ROM comes with it pre-installed
+1 for DSP Manager, awesome app
For the beats audio mod, after I installed, it said the sound fx was not responding then closed the sound fx system app
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
if you use DSP, Equalizer, AudioManager, or anything like that, stay away from Beats. Hell, even MusicFX is better than Beats. Beats does nothing other than boost the lows, which only makes certain types of music sound better but mostly just muddies the sound of everything.

Re,
No worries
So many people expected that they came to believe that it exist, like Voodoo Colors (whatever there is a beta)...
Also Volume+ does the job (Eq Preset->Beats emulation).

Using it on AOKP. The beats manager thing posted above is in the Mod but it is just a re-named /themed DSP manager. There is no “beats" eq preset.
And it throws in a Google music player that uses the beats logo instead of the stock white headphones for the notification icon.

Walkman with Beats vs XSIncredibleBass

As far as i I understood these two Sound Mods are not compatible. So what do you say which one have a better sound quality?

or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1752973
Personally, I prefer the beats audio mod. I think it sounds better, especially with the other enhancements than can be enabled in the walkman player. Though you do need a good set of headphones to tell the difference.......

what sound enhancement have you installed

Hello,
I've installed the sound enhancement I've done with the S2, i.e. acid audio engine, noozoxide rewire, with slim bean rom, the walkman music app sounded awesome.
Although my note 2 is running stock , I've tried diferent combination of the acid audio engine, and noozoxide, the stock music player, sounded bright with sol republic headphone. I tried the maven music player it improved a bit. But not in par with the S2.
I read that the note 2 should have sounded better, because it has the wolfson DAC, maybe good sound quality is subjective.
What are you guys doing to in terms of sound enhancements?
Former Samsung Captivate user here. Impatiently waiting for supercurio to release his new voodoo (or Kaudio) app, money in hand. I have not found anyone else who knows how to extract such good performance from the Wolfson DAC.

I'm using ac!dMod. It's a collection of EQs with a twist.

I can't find one I like. Beats sounds like crap with some files...seems like nothing sounds good around the board. Maybe I just need to stop using pandora.
although my note 2 is rooted, it has the stock rom, maybe it's time to flash a custom rom. Maybe will get the sound quality as good as the S2.
I am not really satisfied with the sound quality of the note 2 at present.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931970 . Vollumn increase
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1819353 . Awesome beat
Both work fine with our note .
Just plain poweramp sounds 100000 times better than anythign else ive tried
I'm still stock 4 now.. using noozxoide from the market. On my rooted S2, Senation, I flashed awesome beats with noozxoide from market n sounds great.

[Q] Your best sound quality ROM setup?

Hey XDA, new member here trying to get past the 10 post limit so I can dive into the Android Development Forum. I've always trusted XDA's members for the best for my EVO, have had it for 2 years and have experimented with quite a few ROM/kernel/mod combinations, and I'm just starting to post. My question is, what has been the best sound setup you have come across with the EVO, and why, how, etc.
I've tried maaany things, but I seem to find the best sound quality in Sense ROMs with DSP Manager, no Beats or ACID sound mods. Just throw in PlayerPro with DSP pack and it feels like your a sound engineer at a Rush concert. Can anyone 1up that?
Cheers.
Bumping, 'cause c'mon.

you are really playin the game of personal opinions here. i have to agree with you dsp manger with a eq built in to the player is a good way to go. I currently use winamp pro with dsp but on cm7.2 and it sounds real solid. I have a galaxy nexus i actually use dsp and aosp with but i havent quite dedicated it to music as much since its only 16 in comparison to the 32 gb i have in my evo.

Ok, I'll bite!
Tried quite a few sound mods - my favorite combo is:
AC!D Audio Engine: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2002367&highlight=acid
then flashing this
Megabass Audio Booster: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2074977
On CM7 base roms it adds a modified DSP EQ
On CM9/CM10 roms it adds a modified Beats DSP EQ
With the AC!D engine as a base, I found nothing that sounds better!
So you're recommending the cm9 base?

Why don't you try Some good Music Players.I'll Suggest Poweramp or Neutron Music Player.
Poweramp Music Player: Good Balance between intuitive ui and good sq.
Neutron Music Player : Arguably without eq has better sound quality than
poweramp at the expense of ui (below average actually)
Hope this helps
I have my rom buid with dsp and enhanced with beats manager, also have roco dev beats aswell, tweeked it a little here and there and sounds great.

Audio mods Liquid&AOKP task

OK I'm just trying to find our why a specific audio mod works perfectly on one ROM and not the other.. For example...
I'm using KingBeatz audio mods
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=31355027
Here the scenario I can flash these mod. One has audioFX which will improve PowerAmp,Pandora etc.
One mod is basically a hard core Modified DSP manager Known as Beatz.
If am on liquidsmooth I can remove the current DSP built in and flash both mods but I will lose the audioFX sound enhancement on Liquidsmooth basically just leaving The modified DSP.
But if I flash both mods on Tasks AOKP it will keep both audio enhancements so it makes it a universal System wide AudioMod.
Does any one have any input on why the mods will work on one ROM vs another???

Works on every ROM.
I went from Beats, to Ac!d then ClearAudio+ but this tops them all.
Works with all apps players. And made for External,Headset and Bluetooth devices. Check it out.

Thru power amp you'll need to go to settings audio, advanced tweaks and disable direct volume control. Then use the Viper app to get the desired sound.
It should work on Pandora as well since its not just an equalizer that stick with a music player but an overall app that works with anything that comes out of headphones, loudspeaker or Bluetooth
