Fresh install wicked 9.1 to T-999.
Everything working great except GPS. I did try the fast gPS fix which comes with the rom but no luck.

Post in the wicked thread, you might get a quicker answer. I have Wicked 9.1 but it works very well for me.
The developer is very responsive. So I'm sure your issue will get solved quickly.

Did you by any chance flash wicked after coming from an AOSP ROM? You can try the separate gps fix and see if it makes any difference.

I used HyperDrive (updated) Rom before I fresh install Wicked 9.1 with devien kernel.
You think I should install stock kernal... which will fix the gps?
I love wicked 9.1 bc it giving me good battery life so far.
I already told you how to fix the GPS in post #2. Why is this still a problem?
Give it a try. Stock kernels will give you less issues than a custom one. Just make sure you flash the correct kernel.

I flashed the Wicked ROM from a stock T999 ROM and the GPS works fine for me. Maybe going back to stock will help then flashing the Wicked ROM.

I recently purchased a Samsung T989 and decided to root and try out some custom ICS roms. The problem is that I could only find 2: Cyanogenmod and Darkside Evolution 3 v8. I don't want to flash a pure rom like cyanogen, I want a rom similar to the stock but without the bloatware. I also want it to be fast. So far, Darkside was really good, I just want to try others if there are any. I would appreciate it if you also included a link with your suggestion.
P.S: When I searched for roms on XDA, I only got results for I9100, so I decided to ask here. Thanks
Since you don't want AOSP (AOKP/CM) and have already tried Evo, I recommend checking out Jedi Mind Trick.
I've never touched a TW ROM that was so FAST in my life!

Stick with nontouch or twrp. There's the new recovery for non touch and touch, but i think the non touch is more complete. Haven't read the thread in a couple days.

Frosty and paranoid android were both solid for me.
My vote is for ParanoidAndroid. I used it on my Nexus S and it was pretty good. Ability to adjust dpi setting is very useful as this phone can let apps produce very crisp/clear resolution settings.
Frosty for TW and a cm10 for overall stability

CM10 hands down.
I haven't had a single problem. Running 09/25 nightly right now
Been running Casper's aokp for a week now. Had two lockups on different builds but other than that no other issues, no flickering either. Running it with ktonz kernel @ 1809. Battery life is comparable to Free & Wicked's ICS roms. It's based off all the latest cm10 builds but with soo many more customization options such changing the background of your notification tray. I've heard good things about codenameandroid too.

You don't have to wipe data if its the same rom, but I use Titanium Backup when switching to different roms.
Rom: LiquidSmooth RC9
Kernel: KT747
so far so good.
What jelly bean rom are you using? And why?
I am using cm10 stable and love it and the reason why is that I'm a newbie it is the one pour stock android I can get on my Samsung galaxy s3. I think my next phone will be the google nexus 5 when ever that comes out or a new galaxy nexus.
I'm using the latest cm10 nightly and it has some glitches here and there but it's solid for most part.
I'm using Serenity. It's a port of JB from the Galaxy Note II.
Why this one and not something else? I wanted to keep the Touchwiz feel for a while longer and I've used Serenity ROMs in the past on a different device.
Using CM10. Bass over bluetooth doesn't work so I dropped back to an older build. Even the older ones still work fine. Running leankernel. Couldn't be happier with my phone!

You did install the kernel, you just didnt know it. The kernel gets installed with the ROM. But you can flash a different kernel at some other point if you want to. I generally find the stock kernels work well for me

I'm running BlackBean with LeanKernel all apps inverted along with inverted JB 4.2 keyboard. Why? I used BlackBean on my old Nexus S, inverted stuff saves a ton of battery life on our SAMOLED screens, the combo is overall damn smooth and the kernel also helps to save that battery life while maintaining buttery smoothness. Couldn't be happier.
LiquidSmooth RC9 with leankernel. Seems to be working pretty good so far. A couple of complaints here and there (had an issue with phone crashing every time I received a call, some minor annoyances with music playback) but for the most part it's very speedy and stable.

I'm currently still rockin the stock ATT ROM. It's rooted and a few AT&T apps are frozen. That said, I am a flash head by trade and normally would have flashed a number of roms already. I have flashed a couple but ultimately referred to my nandroid back to stock. Ok.. So.. I am curious as to whether there's a kernel out there that will improve the stock feel. Can anyone on the stock rom offer up any suggestions?
Perhaps I should have posted this in Q&A. Whoops. Mods please feel free to move it. Thanks.

Guys...I want to hear about the best of the best Note 2 Roms for L900.
Right now my vote is with Carbon (07/09/13 Nightly) - 10 our of 10. GPS, MMS, Halo, Pie, Custom Kernel, Ribbons, etc. It all works right from the start. Not to mention...It's noticeably faster than SlimRom, Liquid (which still has MMS issues), and PAC-Man (which somehow drains my battery faster than other roms).
I want to hear your Reviews.
This has nothing to do with bashing developers or downtalking other people. I'm not interested in that. Let's stick to the facts and provide proof of why you think the rom you're running is the best.
This will also give newbies a little direction in our world.
Lastly, this is an attempt to give ALL developers an inside look at what's really important to the end-user.
LET THE REVIEWS BEGIN!!!
Yes the latest carbon rom nightly is very nice. The smoothest a d fasted aosp out there.
However, my complaint is wake locks.. It happens with ALL cm10.1 aosp rom..
Do you have wake locks too?
I'm running e: [ROM][MIUIv5][JB-4.2.2] MIUIandroid 3.6.28 port in by @lbxmobbin_1 and its one of the best Roms used in a long time.. Its very smooth and fast.. The ROM is excellent.. I haven't ran into any force closes.. Take some time and check it out ..

I feel the same way, but I don't have wake locks. I just flashed Carbon this morning so I'll report back if anything happens. Also, because I've tried LITERALLY EVERY aosp rom out now, I chose to revert back to unrooted stock, root it, install twrp, then flash carbon. I didn't want to chance having any GHOSTS in my system affecting performance. I'll report back later if I have any wake lock issues though.

Nice. Slim is a very close 2nd to me. I just don't like how the actual developers don't have an official release. I've been checking the website daily and it seems there is a SlimBean for many other devices except the L900. What's up with that?
