Geez, I'm really conflicted now because Moto finally got unlocked. However, I can get the SGS III for $20 on amazon wireless. I just hope it will still be available because I believe the SGS 4 will be out mid May. I can't upgrade till the 17, I just want to figure out what my best option is. I want to get the best phone for the cheapest price and really the SGS III seems to be it. Anyone have any other opinions? My only worry is the phone may be a little to big.
Maybe the s3 will become free after s4 is out
Mine is this month, I must keep my unlimited data on Verizon so I been scouring e-bay myself.
I hope I can by an unlocked sgs III
for cheap, but I wonder if Verizon will make me buy off contract from them?

I debated the DNA as well, but went with the Galaxy S3 when it was cheap. I probably have average size hands, and I definitely have had to adjust to using a bigger phone, but I don't think it's so much the size as the fact that Samsung phones are so slick. My inc2 never slipped in my hands, but I have to be very careful with the GS3 since it is so slick. I don't like cases so I'm trying to figure out a non-redneck way of making it more grippy.

Lol...I hope you have daughters, so you just happened to know that exists and didn't go looking for it.
A few guys here mentioned getting the galaxy s3 of places like eBay, to avoid losing their unlimited data plans, which is the same boat I'm in.
Is there anything specific I should look for and make sure when buying a phone off places like eBay? I seem to see a lot being listed at ~$300
So far my only experience has been getting the phones through "upgrade" with Verizon. Buy I haven't had the need to worry about data plans before my Inc2, so this is kind of new for me.
Thanks.
I'm so ready to get a phone that is actually supported well, officially.
I was thinking about buying one off contract, but its still pricey. I'm probably going to go with 4gb of data because I use a lot of wifi. I just want my bill to be below $100

I'm surprised that no one has commented on how cheap the kickstand feels. It's a pain to pull out the kick stand and when you do take it out it feels like it might break doing so. I'm returning this case and will get something better for $32. It's a 6/10 in my books.
I got the blk/clear purple case they offer for $21. Bumper all around the edges too. Loving it so far.

then i must have a defective one. every edge is sharp. along the power button, volume... and all around everything. i really hate going to that sprint store. there's a minimum of 45min wait for each visit i've had in the last 2 months.
first time looking at it through a loop. where the top and bottom seams join there's an excess of plastic which is causing my sharp edges. i could just file them down instead of going to the store. that was my original plan.
Using mini ziplock bag till a better case comes out. All touch actions work fine.

Hey guys, I know I'm probably late on this as everyone has had this phone for a while now and probably has a case. But I have an SGP Ultra Hybrid case I'd like to give away. I know it says Galaxy Nexus on the sticker but after going through the T-Mobile S2 and AT&T Skyrocket forums, I've finally determined that this is for your guys' phone lol. Anyways, I haven't opened it as I intended to give it away as I have a GSM Nexus and have no need for it.
SGP makes good quality cases; even the box it comes with is surprisingly high quality . If you guys aren't familiar with it I'll do a review on it once my other one comes in. The black part is TPU quality while the white back plate is like a matte hard light-weight shell. It feels premium. After tax and shipping and all that it came out to about $27.
Just wondering if anyone would be interested in it. If enough people want it I'll figure a way to give it out. Thanks.

The black part is TPU so I'd assume it'd be easy to cut a little square for the external speaker. Sorry guys, I was happy because I thought that I finally figured out it was for the Epic Touch 4G.
The power button is to the right so it's definitely for an S2 variant. The size and form factor, plus the little hump at the bottom, has to be for the ET4G.
If you guys still want it I'll still give it away. Usually SGP cases are perfect, dunno how they mess that up.

Perhaps you could look around and checks phones that will have a nice resale value right now. Not sure what choices you have with tmobile. A gs3 could be had for $200 upgrade price, flipped for $500+ and then buy a nice little mid range expendable phone that will get the job done. Or maybe buy two. This method has it's goods and bads, but if a smartphone is really needed for phone amd text, and the extras for distraction/minimal tasks and getting on the web for fun, reading or tips on breasts hurt while breastfeeding then this might be a good path. Otherwise, get a nice little unlocked nokia or moto for cheap until toddler destruction improves.

The key word I see here is toddler, give the toddler that busted sensation. That way he/she has their own phone to dunk in coffee. The other thing is to teach your wife the proper way to deal with water damage, ie battery pull and rice.
And teach her not to put her phone in front of a baby. And tell her she won't like it the next time it happens.
Will the next nexus have a longer screen?
why does she need a phone in the kitchen in the first place?

Plan on selling my GSII for the Note II myself.
That phone seems a little large...and im not sure the stylus will be useful to me...specially once i load CM or something on it...wont that stylus become useless with an AOSP rom?
Im eyeing the Optimus G(though i hear it has a locked boot loader which means no roms)..and the Nexus 4...I have to upgrade by dec..Cause a friend is willing to pay 400 for my SII + Mugen battery + case, which covers my remaining balance on this device with my carrier

Lol, its not a bad deal i think. The mugen battery is 100 the phone is still 600 brand new, the case is 35. I may lower it to $300 though for all of it.
I've been lucky enough to play with the note II daily at work and I have to say that the phone is awesome in every sense. Much better than the GS3. I'm very tempted.
