Hi I want to know if I buy a dock with audio out is it a full volume line out or is the volume controlled by the volume buttons, in which case I can use it with my headphones.
Thanks
Anyone? If they do I will get one of these docks, otherwise I will get a case with stand built in.

The only in-line device on earphones that will not work with Android devices is volume up-down buttons but single button(play, pause, skip, etc..) and mic will work.
If your going to buy a higher quality set of earphones I would also recommend buying power amp and adjusting the EQ however you like it, it really makes your music better

Hi everyone. I recently got a pair of beats tour edition as a gift and i noticed that they work flawlessly with iDevices but not with my beloved NoteII. The answer button works just fine but the mic and the volume buttons does not. Is there any mod i can apply to resolve the issue or is it hardware related??? Any help would be much appreciated guys!
Yes i have the same issue help would be appreciated thanks

Use normal priced headphones/earphones instead of overpriced crap?
I joke I joke... Kinda... (Or not... They really are bad sounding products!)

Yea just tried them. Then voice is clear to have a conversation on both ends. Recognizes Google Now commands when holding the circle button. But yes volume key up and down did not work but middle key does pause audio.
Hi guys,
How does everyone find the volume level with headphones? I find the galaxy s3 is far too loud on volume 1 to listen to. On my s2 I use fine volume control, but I hear it doesn't work on the s3 on jelly bean. Does it work on the note 2? Does siyah kernel work? As can reduce the volume in ex tweaks. Trying to work out which phone to buy, but they all seem too loud! Have tried different headphones too, and same issue. Thanks a lot guys

well of course kernel is neat, however I wouldn suggest volume boost. That comes with speaker buzzes. Anyway, stock is pretty loud tho.
if you're trying to reduce the volume, user poweramp for your music, then go into the equaliser, and drop the master volume amplifier (the adjustable bar on the far left) to the lowest setting to reduce the volume further.
alternatively, download any equaliser app and drop the master volume or drop all the eq frequencies to reduce the overall volume.
Thanks, power amp is indeed quieter. Just wish that it would work with dsp manager...

Why would you use dsp manager when poweramp has the best equalizer out there
Dafuq u r buying a phone just for a smaller volume level?

No but it's a big factor for me. Power amp is ok, but to my ear dsp manager is noticeably better. I've bought some new headphones, not inner ear and this has helped with my issue greatly. Seems inner ears may just be too sensitive for android. Neutron with my new black box headphones seems perfect. Still looking at the note 2. Thanks for the help everyone, that Perseus kernel is really handy, as I still need to be Able to reduce the volume level in extweaks or something similar to minimum.

Hello all,
I have a 3 button headset that I bought when I had an iPhone. Can this be supported on our phone, or is it a limitation of Android?
Thanks,
Steve
If its the iPhone headset its never going to work.

The headset coming with the of pro got three button (volume up volume down and hang up)
So it could work
This phone comes with headsets? Wtf att?! I didn't get any headset.

Nope, some people have tried using a TRSS adapter in the past to no avail.
Get an iPhone and keep telling yourself it's an HTC One?
But he's correct there is no way to get them to work. Why not just use the ear buds that came with the One? I've found them to be quite good. Someone in another post a while back said they were unbranded beats earbuds. Idk if that's a fact or not. Judging from the sound quality I wouldn't be too surprised.
As far as I can tell, there aren't any headphones that have a working in line button set with the One. With the stock "Beats," the only function that works is the single click for pause/resume. Double clicking which usually skips to the next song simply dials the last person called on your phone. Very frustrating. Not even any third party button control apps seem to work.

I've being doing some reasrch on this myself over the last could pe of days. What you need is a TRRS IPhone to Nokia adapter.
This "should" make any Iphone headset turn into a single button Android compatible headset. Not that I've not tried it but the chances are that it will work. The fault here is that apple made a standard for themselves as is there way.

Personally as my old HTC headset broke I decided to purchase a Bluetooth one instead.

Hey guys,
Thanks a lot for ur help on this. As of now the inline mic works but the volume buttons dont. I'll jus get a new pair of Bluetooth ones which are compatible as the iPhone one jus won't work.
