[req] froyo wallpapers

Hi,
i know that on samsung galaxy s with froyo update appears new wallpapers, and since i prefer to wait for final version of rom, could some1 extract those new wallpapers, i seen them on youtube and looks realy nice.

Could you find the video where you saw them. I've been looking but can't find it!

it looks like it's not live wallpapers, you can look on youtube search for samsung galaxy s froyo.first link.
forward to 4th minute if you dont want to watch full movie.
or maybe it's user wallpaper?
anyway, i have seen on many pages that there are new wallpapers in froyo, but cant find them

Couldn't get the beach one to work for me. Kept force closing.
Running JM8 and voodoo beta 4.
Do you have an update.zip file to flash back to the eclair ones or do I need to flash the whole firmware?

They should have worked with eclair roms to. To get the eclair ones you can get them from an eclair rom, you can find a rom in the developemnt thread, like Doc`s full rom, download and extract them from there, use an update.zip and flash them back. I`ll post them tonight when I get home if you won`t manage to get them.

Official gingerbread and wallpapers

Hello, as we all know HTC update has been trimmed of all wallpapers leaving only 1. Anyone know how to add back these wallpapers? Putting them in /system/customize/resources doesnt seem to work. Any ideas?

Following on the fine advice about how perhaps to install this official/original wallpaper collection "lost" from the 2.3 update,
does anyone HAVE IT, could LINK it or know where to find it?
I had no success on the HTC DC so perhaps there's a Good Samaritan who might be able to help?

what wallpaper are you looking for?? The original ones from Desire??
for extracting the official wallpapers simply download the HTC RUU, extract the ROM and than browse to \system\customize\resource. There you'll find the original ones

Now that I've navigated my way to the system file as you suggested, I realise it is an img file that I'll need to burn.
As to your question..., yes, I'm looking for the original official Desire Bravo wallpapers left out of the 2.3 upgrade. I've installed the upgrade on a Desire that I am passing to a friend and I'd like to add in the range of original wallpapers for him. (only one remains). Any ideas where I could obtain a download file or apk of them apart from the earlier 2.2 rom img I have?
[By the way, the official flashlight apk doesn't seem to work on this upgrade. Any thoughts as to why this might be?]

man you need to decompile the iso taking the Android Kitchen Also you can take all Sense 2.3 ROMS you like and browsing the zips.
Or you take the images i uploaded hope these are all images you like

[Q] Rocky Canyon Wallpaper

You all remember the original wallpaper that came preloaded with the epic before ei22 right? the one with the arching canyon rock formation. eh, I rather liked that one; so I've been trying to locate the pic for ages but with no avail. If at all possible, would anyone mind helping me out here?

go find a stockish rom in development like Clean GB by Toadlife download it and unzip it you should be able to search through the files and find the wallpapers

Do you know how to extract apk's. I use total commander and any unrar program... my favorite is winrar... Or on your phone you can download any unrar app, then download a rom and navigate to the system/app folder and you can extract the apk that way.
I am not saying I wont help because I would have to download a rom and upload for you but I am trying to show you that the task you are asking can easily be accomplished by you without help from anyone else
Or is it that you need an exact copy of the phone apk only from an official el29 update?

Wow. I see people asking crazy things, I can do it myself...that's correct. I can extract. But I am away from my fantastic wifi and where I work its not the best signal. I just need someone on a deodex el29 to copy from there system/app/phone.apk and upload to 4shared or anywhere . That would be a big help. If not I will do it tonight. Just asking for help. I'm not being rude, I only need what I'm asking I can handle the rest.

Wow is right and I was not trying to be anything but helpful in my post. I was not sure if you did not know what to do so I simply was explaining a couple procedures in order to achieve what you wanted. Your original post did not have any mention of download capabilities.

Its always good to keep a couple of ROMs and kernels on your SD just in case of emergencies. Its saved me a couple of times.

Thank y'all. I am trying to rig up some stuff between an og epic and an epic touch. I really want the dialer from the epic touch because when u t9 dial it searches the first and last name and w the og epic it will only search first or last. Fairly annoying. But at any rate, the framework is different and it would not work for me. I just wanted to try it out.

Nexus 5 Sounds (Ringtones,Notifications,Alarms, UI)

Not really sure where to put this but found this earlier and thought some of you may enjoy this.
Simply extract files and move them to the appropriate directory located at "system/media/audio/" using Root Explorer or your favorite file manager and reboot.
Note: For UI Sounds you may need to rename if you want to use them as a Touchwiz Sound...haven't really messed with that yet.

Good sounds, I might use them to replace some of the Samsung sounds. For some reason I thought these were pulled from a samsung rom. Lack of sleep..... Lol.

But it certainly is a component of themeing to add sounds as much as adding wallpaper would be to backgrounds.

Read-only file system error
Thanks a lot! I've been looking for these directions for a while.
However, when I tried I get an error that reads: "/system/media/audio/soundfile.ogg(1): open failed: EROFS (Read-only file system)".
Is there anyway around this? Thanks for your help in advance.

Thank you, I just added these to my Google Pixel as the default system sounds are pretty dire.
Anyone know where I can get all the Nexus 5X or 6P system sounds? (Or maybe someone with root would be so kind as to upload them).
