Is anyone having trouble with Play Store? Mine is disappearing. The only way that I can install it back on is to re flash my rom. This is weird and I dont know why it is happening.

Hi guys,
I just got around to flashing ROMs, radios and kernels. I'm just wondering if it's normal to lose your google maps after you flash a new rom?
I'm on TDJ's jb rom and flashed the latest gapps. And even on play store I can't find the link for google maps there.
Is there something i missed?
Pretty sure you have to download the app again... Google maps you can't find in the play store? Maybe Android back, back it up and reinstall it that way?

It should be on the play store. If not I think you can get it by going to the Google site and go to more (something like that)

Woa dont you think it is a little early for flashing?
Try with the small studf first.
Delete cache and data of store. Reboot. Unisntall store and reinstall getting apk from anywhere else.
Stuff like that....

Stock roms are not as stable as it might seem....get a custom theyre usually also faster than stock..

For some reason my play store keeps crashing, I've tried rebooting my phone, even clearing the data and ram from the play store... I don't get it..

Rooted? Rom? Kernel? Mods?
Have you cleared data and uninstalled updates? Then reboot and give it time to reupdate?
Try to Remove google account and re-enter info.
If no go then Reflash your rom

Completely stock, nothing custom. I've tried clearing it from the apps. I'll try to uninstall updates.

Tried deleting the play updates, still same issue.. this is so frustrating.

You may need to do the same on some other Google apps such as Google services framework and maybe a couple others that work along side the play store app. Can't remember them all right off hand.
When you say you're completely stock does this also mean you are not rooted? If you are rooted you can use titanium backup to backup all Google apps and data. Then clear data one by one till you find the culprit and then restore data for everything else.
Did you try deleting your account?

Completely stock, as I'm not rooted or anything. I tried everything, then I factory reset and its fixed.

Glad you got it fixed. I figured a factory reset would do it but was trying to help avoid it. But sometimes it's the only way....

Yeah I was going to avoid it. It was about time for a fresh start anyways.

Is anyone else having the problem with the play store force closing when updating apps? It's been happening ever since upgrading to 4.4.2 and is getting really annoying. ..

Yes you are the only one but there is a good chance that
your play store issue can be solved.
Go into settings and then navigate to Application Manager.
Find the phonesky.apk and clear it's cache and data, then
reboot the phone and give the play store anothe try.
Good luck!
