Question about apn's

So me and my wife have the same phone. Hers isn't rooted yet. But I copied all apn stuff from her phone to mine and I for some reason can't get my pic mails to go through. Does that have anything to do with the acess points?

Capitalization is important when putting in APN settings. What carrier are you with?

Yea I copied word for word but I couldn't get my pic mail nd such to send and kinda made me mad so went back to stock non root and went fine.. guess ill try it again... att

Try the following settings next time around (remember capitalization!!!)
Name: AT&T
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: (leave blank)
Port: (leave blank)
Username:[email protected]
Password:CINGULAR1
Server: (leave blank)
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MCC:310
MNC:410
APN Type: leave blank
---If the above does not work---
try the same as above, with the following 2 tweaks
MCC: 302
MNC: 660

[Q] [Q} Flash Roger rom to AT&T GN2 NO LTE

Hi,
I just get my Galaxy Note 2 and I am very happy with it.
I recently flash Roger's Rom,

and I cannot get LTE Signal
When i go to Settings > More settings > Mobile networks > Network mode
I cannot change from GSM/HSPA (auto connect) to GSM/HSPA/LTE
In fact i can but it went back immediately to GSM/HSPA.
After flashing the rom, i didn't flash ATT radio, which is similar to rogers
did i need to get specific APN ? and if so do you have them

No LTE using XenonHD AOSP ROM

Anyone know how I can get LTE working I am only getting H+ and download speeds maxed out at only 2MB/sec. Any help is much appreciated

LTE worked fine when I was on CleanROM 4.9 but the ROM started acting up on me and decided to switch it up.

It's the XenonHD AOSP ROM dated 7/7/13, kernel is what came with the ROM, its an i317m Note 2 Rogers Canadian unlocked using it on MTS in Manitoba

Probably cuz that was a TW Rom!!
And you've flashed something that doesn't always play well with signal. Meaning AOSP Rom's that is!!
If unhappy then restore what made you happy like most of us do when we try something and don't like it!!
That's what a back up is FOR!

I'm more than happy with this ROM and of course I've made a back up, it's more wondering if anyone has found a fix or a solution to the problem. You just gave a solid rant with no help what so ever haha as Ace Ventura said "Well, thanks for nothing". I've tried searching for a solution but have had no luck why I put the question up.

I've messaged the ROM developer or at least I believe its the developer hah and hopefully it will be worked out upcoming updates. H+ isn't the fastest but it is do able and the TouchWiz got old for me and more fun stuff for AOSP

Wasn't trying to be a **** it was funny from the movie. I've entered the APN Settings it gives 2 I enter them and only one appears in the listing of APN's, the settings are:
These steps outline how to correctly enter the APN(s) into an Android OS device (these steps are general guidance and as such may not exactly resemble every Android device menu options).
Note that when entering the APN(s) into an Android device, you are encouraged to create two APN profiles to help ensure that data will function while roaming.
From the Home Screen:
Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Menu > New APN

I flashed my t999l to metro psc I have data but comes and go and extremely slow. But what I really want to ask is ccan I flash a metro pcs rom on my t999l and if anyine kniw the metro pcs apn settings can u please provide it

Ummm, what exactly did you flash? There are no metro pcs specific roms that I am aware of....

Your phone is a T999L, I recommend sticking to ROMs and firmware that are meant for that device.

I have same kind of thing on my phone. There is no flashing of metro on your s3. Metro will run on T-Mobile networks. Use T-Mobile APN settings. Not metro pcs and you'll get good speeds and connectivity. Unless your using CyanogenMod, then its crazy. But I deal

Data doesn't work

I had to reset the phone and I did so by clicking the button in Settings>Accounts and now the data doesn't work...
The wifi works, calling and messaging seems to be fine as well.
I am using the 4.3 version and I'm with Rogers.

Now I got the data to work but on the top it shows H+ instead of LTE. Is that normal? Or did I do something wrong?

Sweet. Depends on rom your running. . You said 4.3 on Rogers. Is that stock?

Reading up a little on the differnences, and since I'm not sure what your apn settings are, I'm not sure what you are supposed to be getting.
I guess I should ask have you ever seen the 4G icons on your signal?

I've seen ltedata.apn and ltemobile.apn. looks like ltemobile.apn allows tethering.

I think it's working! I have the LTE icon now. It turns to H+ when I go downstairs though... I don't know if this will be a problem but anyways thanks!

Awesome.... Sometimes you get lucky.
Check texting and phone calls. Should be fine since that info was not changed.
