Hey guys,
First off, thanks for the forum, you guys are great!
I just picked up my LGOG about a week ago, and its FANTASTIC. I am coming from many years of using an Optimus G, fully rooted and ROM'd, so Im not quite a noob, just a noob with this phone.
Anyways, Im currently unlocked and rooted, and flashed v14 of Lifeless on my phone. Its great, however, I do not have any data connection at all. Ive tried the tricks, toggle airplane mode, toggle data, reboot, wipe dalvik/cache, none of it seems to work.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Again, thanks!
Did you update your radios?

I just rooted my phone last night. I was stock ZVB and as well. I didn't flash any radios and everything is fine so far with my phone. Also running the same ROM. I would try re downloading and flashing again with a clean wipe.

i just reflashed, and update prl. I now have data! thank you guys so much!
on a side note....is the stock kernel fine on the OG or should I look into one of the other ones? from my reading, it seems that the roms based on JB have solved a lot of the heat issues. will the other kernels improve battery as well? im open to suggestions, and I want to learn!
thanks again guys

def look into the two kernels we have. they both have pretty great battery life and just overall performance tweaks that make the phone even better
I'm personally running the liberty 1.17 kernel with lifeless and it's a solid combo

Hi so this is my first thread. So I recently routed my gs3 with no problem, and I have CWM recovery v6. I tried to use the euroskank cm10 mod from the ROM manager app. Everything ran okay, but the one problem I'm having is the android keyboard stops working. I couldnt set anything up,so I had to restore to the stock ROM. Can anyone help me fix this? Thank you. Also, just to kill to birds with one stone, what is the best modem for the sprint gs3? Thanks a bunch!
Might just be a problem with the rom, did you read the bugs? Or did you clear all data before flashing?

That just sounds like a bug in the rom
Suppose so, a friend of mine can use the ROM with his GS3, but he has ATT. Maybe that's why his works

Wait, is the ROM in question even meant for the Sprint GS3? If not that could be a huge problem. Never ever flash a ROM from another carrier.
The ROM manager app gives me a selection of phones to flash CWM recovery with, and I chose the sprint GS3.

If your friend is running it on ATT, I would a assume that you're running 2 different ports of the same ROM. In that case each can have their own bugs and quarks.
And mine apparently won't let me use a keyboard, which makes it pointless anyway. So I should just find another rom specific to the sprint GS3. Know of any that I should look into?

From what I have been able to find on the Web, tweaking of the video driver and improved battery life. It hasn't been out long enough to actually see if the battery performance is actually improved.

Battery life is already very good on my debloated V20e, I'm very curious to see if it can really be better...

Using liquid nitro I get no random restarts, on v20f I do. Performance was improved however, ignoring the reboots.
I'm wondering if there are some memory leaks that need patching that are causing overflows and thus restarts in v20f. We will have to wait till lg releases the source to check though.

Been running V20f since yesterday and no reboots for me, but then again the only ROM I was having that issue with was cm10.

THANKS
Tried this ROM for two days. It runs very smooth and fast. But unfortunately it went into BSOD at last two nights and exhausted all battery over night. Now I have gone back to V20c. Hope that somebody can get rid of the BSOD.
No BSOD for me after 2 days on this rom . I was previously running V20e for the last months and never experienced one either.
However I am very aggressive on debloating (both Bell and LG stuff) so maybe I removed the application responsible for the BSODs?

Its obvious CWM flashable !
You should install rom manager from market and flash clockworkmod recovery . Your phone must be rooted with android 2.3
Go to unbrick method topic for more information.

Great ROM (i know it's untouched). It's as fast as it was before i flashed other custom roms. Well done.
I cannot post over on the Synergy thread that I located as it is developers only and I completely understand. I am hoping the Synergy folks see my post here and my thanks.
I've had my SGN2 for a few months and have pretty much played with JB Domination. I finally had enough of what I felt was the blue everything being shoved down my throat and went back to stock. I think it is one of the best ROM's out there but not if it forces you to accept all of it's programming and colors much like the SGN2 itself. This is my opinion.
Synergy is nice!! It gets ride of a lot of crap on the phone, it is very, very quick, it gives me the tether that I need. No complaints. I liked it so much that I actually sent in a small donation, something I typically do not do often on things like this.
I will say I am running V14 as it that seemed the heaviest in use. There is a v32 version but my phone kept turning off and had to have a battery pull to get it back online.
If you liked r14, upgrade to r47...its what i am running now (ziggy kernal and all). platt continues to outdo himself with each update!

I upgraded from Synergy LJC to Synergy MA7 easily with no problems at all. I would say the biggest upgrade is being able to use Ziggys kernal. There were some hiccups with his kernal on LJC, but it runs smooth on MA7. I say make a nandroid, and take the plunge!

I have a few quick questions on this device, I personally deal strictly with htc devices but my wife loves this phone.
Ok a little background.
The phone has been flashed to boost. And is on stock Sprint gb27 jb, unrooted.
Where is a good thread to get this rooted? and after the recovery gets installed being it's flashed to boost anything I should not flash? Thanks guys

Check out rwilcows repository it contains everything you will need to flash.
If you flash from Odin the rooted same build you won't need to factory reset.

Not taken wrong at all. I've actually been modding phones since the g1 dream days and still very active on the HTC one xl forum just havent messed with a Samsung since the boost galaxy prevail. And the read fully part you mentioned... Read some of my posts from the one xl q n a forum.. I just wanted a push in the right direction. Main concern is the rom install. Will it mess with anything that's been flashed to convert to boost? Prl?

Here's qbking's video on how to root on jb:

Just make sure you read, read, read. And your prl, being on Boost, will not change. And as long as you have a jb modem(gb27, gb28, or gc01), you'll have data. But if you flash a Sprint rom you'll have to research how to change mmsc in order to send mms. To avoid that, if your wife wants stock, flash a GC01(Boost) rom after you root. Here's mine, deodexed, debloated, and since it's stock, you can build it up to your wife's liking. Good luck, happy flashing:thumbup:

By the way, if you flashed the phone to Boost you're better off just keeping a stock Boost ROM handy.
That way you're not having to mod the MMS settings to get it to work right.
From there you can pick up a custom kernel/recovery and flash away.
(I personally recommend mine but there are others to choose from...)
Welcome and enjoy!
