I am facing difficulty downloading anything from the play store when using 4G connection. I can get great data speeds on speedtest and anything else data related, except play store downloads. SGS3 does not have the same problems. Wifi downloads are not affected.
Has anyone else faced or resolved this issue?
So far I have tried clearing play store, download manager, google account, services framework, even went as far as a factory reset.
Suggestions anyone?

Turns out it was the towers. After NV upgrades to the others in the area it's working now.

I'm new to this device, came from the vibrant. Anyway, I can't find an answer to this by searching Google or xda. I cannot download any apps when on 4g, it just says waiting for network forever. I can do everything else on 4g, i.e. browse internet, apps that use internet with just fine. Although I can download apps on 3g and Wi-Fi with no problems. I am on stock, no root. Is this a known issue? Any advice at all would be great. Thanks in advance.

Its a known issue since the last update with the Google Play Store, My best guess is that it will most likely be fixed soon.

So I have the Sprint S3 running JB as well as the Sony Tablet S and for some reason I am recently unable to d/l from the play store over a wifi connection. Once I use my 3G everything works. I have cleared my cache as well as stopped the program and restarted but still no luck. Any ideas? This is driving me nuts. Thanks!

What's the error the Play Store gives?
That's the weird thing. There is no error code. It start's the d/l bar as if it's going to d/l but then never actually does. It has sat there for hours and never shown progress.
This has happened to me at home with my Airave 2.5. Not sure if they applies to you or not.
Unplug router.modem everything related to internet reboot everything as well..

I do have the Airave from Sprint. I had it for a good three months before this problem started. I have tried running the modem to router to airave hookup but that hasn't worked either. Were you able to get it fixed?

The only way I got around it was to add a second modem in my house. No biggie since I work for our cable provider. I basically have one modem going to the Airwave and the other to my wireless router. There is a known issue lately with the 2.5 model affecting Google Play and even YouTube. Hopefully they find a fix before long.
Ive been using the latest nightly of cyanogenmod and mobile data would work with some apps like instagram and twitter and some webpages, but then other things such as google now searches and facebook wouldnt, but they would work on wifi. I flashed liquidsmooth rom to see if it fixed the problem but it didnt. Does anybody know how to fix this?
Ive actually seemed to sort of fix the problem? I only get 3g where i live but apparently they're rolling out 4g soon whenever that may be, but if i turn off lte mobile data starts to work with everything. This used to still not happen though and i would like to know why incase i do actually start getting 4g :/

I am having a big trouble somwhere since the new Play Store was introduced. Everything was fine earlier, but right now Play Store randomly stops applications on "Starting download...". It happens both on stock and CyanogenMod ROMs. It just looks like it downloads the apps which it wants to. On the other hand it only behaves at home (2mb Wi-Fi) but at work (download rate about 5mb/s) everything works flawless. Also, on packet data everything works fine. Is it problem with my router ? I did not changed any settings for ages, so I dont think so. Or does the Play Store started to "choke" on slower connections? Any advice would be appreciated.
To be clear: I've tried reflashing, clearing caches of play store or download manager, wiping through recovery. Nothing works. I am using NEAK Note2 kernel, but I think it does not matter.

Looks like you tried everything obvious.
But have you tried just using stock kernel? Just my 2 cents. Ml

Which Version of Play store are you on , Try to clear DATA of playstore in App manager and give a try
Hey everyone!
So for the past few days my phone has been downloading stuff from Google Play at a ridiculously slow speed. I have a 1 Mbps connection and yet it took me almost an hour to download a 50 MB App.
I'm quite positive that there's nothing wrong with my Internet since I'm able to surf and download stuff from other places at normal speed, It seems to be an issue with GPlay only. I've already tried clearing the Cache & Data for both Google Play and Google Services Framework, even attempted a data reset but none of it seems to work.
So if anyone could suggest me a possible solution or even direct me to a thread, I'd really appreciate it.
