Omg!!! I just got the ota 4.04 ics for my epic 4g touch on sprint

HAHAHAH Yes I finally got an official OTA update for my Epic 4G touch about 14 minutes ago. I received ICS 4.04 It's amazing ! view screen shots attached...
Its no BS and I know everyone has been waiting for this for a really really long time but now we finally have it! So far I like ICS it seems really smooth and it official so hells yea!:laugh:
My phone is on activated on boost not sprint, but same towers same service so everyone should be getting this tonight!!:laugh::good:

Gratz but alot of folks got it yesterday and since there's no difference between the ota and the leaks some folks decided to go with the one click root

Ok? A whole new thread for it?

Yes, a few people have already gotten it in the ICS update thread. I myself decided to manually update it through qbking77's guide for my father. Playing around with it a bit, nothing new, since I've been running The Blu Kuban for a while now, but my dad's ecstatic. Btw, if you want the stock ICS feel, use Sprint ID and choose the original.

Does not factory reset anything I have this phone on boost and everything remained the same... so Update is good

why not just clear defaults on tw launcher then when you press the home button select the one that says launcher, and make that the default.

Because vía SprintID it's just a 2-3 Taps away (faster) and clearing TW case take extra unnecessary steps. 10-11 taps plus some long scrolls.
3 taps vs 11 taps what way will you choose? Duh!

edit it seems like the photosphere still freezes on me without focus.. I probably need to do a clean install then flash the zip. It seems like others have it working okay.

Same here. Still freezes unless i focus before taking the picture. Guess it is time for a full wipe, been a while. will report back. On cm10 latest stable, BTW
Update: full wipe complete and on CM10 latest nightly issue persists. One added new issue to report. Either freeze or it acts like or takes the picture (flash and all) with no freeze but it saves nothing to gallery! Weird. May try later on stock.

Hmm, ive tried every single one i could find. Its a really strange and bizarre behavior. I use to use Camer ICS+ from the market but that also yeilds the same results, freezes the preview window if you dont touch to focus. The dev and i have been trying to solve it for months on end now with no luck. :'( i hate this xD

Hmm the zip (at least the one listed as stable photosphere) seems to have the old keyboard with the ugly white outlined words..

I was about to say the same thing, it seems to be the same as the att one except with an old keyboard. BTW guys jackedup suggested to turn off locations and set scene from auto to action, that should prevent the freezes and fc. I just tested it, works

I also notice that the 4.2 camera was working well w/o fc and did not realized that I've turned off locations until I saw jackedup saying it was working for him too.
Everything has been working for me since.

Yeah it is. I love it. I can basically type with out looking at the screen lol.
I'll keep updating it as long as updates roll out but seems like development is slow but so far it works great.

Motorola’s new camera software is setting itself up to be one of the major selling points of the device, and with good reason. It’s clean, minimalist, and will hopefully give users plenty of options to get excellent photos. If you don’t want to wait until the official device to test drive it, though, you don’t have to anymore thanks to the latest ripped camera apk from newer Motorola devices thanks to Android Police.
The interface is just as clean as we’ve seen it, and most of the features work, including video recording and taking pictures, both single shots and burst shots. Unfortunately, the wrist flicking gestures don’t work, panoramic mode causes a crash, and the slow-motion and HDR modes both don’t function, so it’s not 100% ready for prime time. Still, though, if you don’t absolutely have to have those features and just want a new toy to play with on your phone, it’s 90% functional.

I HAVE TO SAY THAT I GOT THIS TO INSTALL ON SKYNOTE 4.3. BUT IT WILL NOT JUST INSTALL ON A 4.1.2 ROM??
For those that have the app installed you can try and install on top of it.
But keep in mind it may and may not work OK!!

You can test it out if you like. Only thing I noticed is that on the 4.3 Rom. You get they option to save to ext SD card. But on the 4.1.2 it's not there?
Edit: since I have wiped my system changing Rom's. Now the app won't install for me. Wth :what: Will try to push into system too see what happens! Report back...

It didn't work for the first few shots but started to work all of a sudden... I had to put the flash to on versus auto

Eh...I don't really care for the look of the dialer...the messaging app looks okay...I hope Google doesn't go through with the current open app and status bar sharing the same color scheme...if anything, the status should just be transparent and turn black (or the users choice of color) when opening an app.

I prefer the black themes over this new one. I was hoping for a huge overhaul for Kit Kat, not just color changes.

You'll probably have to wait until 5.0 for a ui overhaul, who knows how long Google will keep up with the 4.x.x updates.

It has been confirmed we are getting 4.3 sometime ago. I doubt we will get official kitkat though.

I've seen CM10.1 on the Galaxy S so I guess even though we might get a build late after the release, we'll still get it....

Of course it will haha but they are a corporation now. I'd rather go full AOSP if possible if you catch my drift.

While I would have preferred the People.apk going dark like the dialer, I think its about time aosp fixed the phone/contact theme mismatches. I never got why the phone and contacts were themed inversely when the apps are so dependent on each other. Either way, the initial theming of an open source project shouldn't matter all too much. That's why its open source.
