So you are opening a new thread after thread for every little question.....and in every thread so far there is :

Excuse me for this little rant but i find that the highest form of rudeness !

Why would people help you?
When you've clearly just ignored Mr Hofs advice?
+ The only way I can think of doing this is editing the ROM yourself, pull the apps you don't want from "System" and Push the apps you do want to system.
Other than whats been suggested.

I tried replacing the HTC contacts app apk in the system/app folder with a AOSP contacts app apk.
When I tried to open the contacts app it said "App not installed"
How did you do it?
I'd suggest pushing it with fastboot/adb
Also I'm pretty sure you'll need to "Fix Permissions".

Ok i'll try that
And wipe old caches and dalvik cache !
If you use Android 4.1.1, it is advisable to replace them with their 4.1.1 AOSP counterparts, not 4.2.2 for example.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
So I have to:
ADB push AOSPapp.apk /system/app
Fix permissions
Clear cache
Clear dalvik cache

Hey guys,
I've had a search through these forums, as well as many other sites, and I couldn't find the set of live wallpapers that comes with HTC Sense (in particular, I want the one called "Sense"). Do you know if there is a version that will work with CM7?
Thanks,
-Mike

Thanks. I could only find older versions that wouldn't load onto my device. The .zip at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=722203 does seem to install properly, but the wallpaper doesn't appear when I reboot.

Actually, it is reported not to work with CM7 nightlies. I've attached a log file for them, so hopefully this can be fixed in the near future. Thanks for your help.

The Gingerbread versions worked great for me on CM7 RC2. I had to mount the System partition in Recovery before flashing (as stated in the thread), but then it showed up in the LWP list.
Thanks to sino8r for pointing us in the right direction. I like and missed this LWP.

I should make clear - I did get it to install and appear in the live wallpaper list by mounting /system before installing the zip. However, the wallpaper crashes, with the log attached in the other thread.

Hi guys here is the original htc ime (keyboard) modded to work on non sense roms.
credit goes to
jonasl without his work this wouldn't exist
enjoy
Extract and install the apk's
This is not a flashable zip
Update 6th May 2012
new attachment added for cm9 or any ice cream sandwich based rom.
its just an apk file so just install then go to:
-system setting
-language & input
-and mark the tick box for HTC_IME mod
-then under the default keyboard also select HTC_IME mod
much larger keyboard enjoy
1st attachment is cm7 compatible htc stock
2nd attachment is cm9/aokp compatible, but may also work for cm7 not tested
update 17th may
added themed google cm7 keyboard in 3rd attachment enjoy
added themed gold & droid keyboard in 4th attachment
Update 18th May
added Green Droid theme in 5th attachment
added Red & White theme in 6th attachment
Update 15th June
added Pink Lady theme in 7th attachment
Themed keyboards are cm7 only!
all credit for theme kitchen goes to gIMpSTa, thread can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=654179
kitchen is here:http://www.gimpsta.com/themerlo/main.php
note: keyboards made in the kitchen do not yet work with cm9, some files need to be edited to match that of whats in the ics keyboard i posted, if anyone knows how to get these themed keyboards working on cm9 it would be amazing. I will be doing my own research to try and work this out too. From another post i read this is what needs to be changed "The change was in com.htc.android.htcime.ui.CandidateView.draw , changing FIRST_STATE_SET to EMPTY_STATE_SET"
also anyone who creates a nice keyboard, feel free to share it here and add some screens
hit thanks if you found this thread useful guys:thumbup:
exactly what I was looking for, thx
No problem mate enjoy.

About the white line over letters? It's unlikely. It just appears on the letters on top two rows, this is interesting. I'm running latest nightly CM7 by alquez.
Edit: I just noticed that the image doesn't show up on my earlier post so here it comes.

Strange that different people have different problems with the same system.
I know there are other threads but just posting a few screenshots...

Maybe the release version will be better

You can try this modded apk, should work for both stock & custom ROM as you can install it as a normal apk, so easily can be uninstall if you don't like it.

ok there are different ways to install it all clearly laid out for you in the thread. I sugges take your time and read carefully. if you have rooted your phone then I dont see how this can be an issue. Honestly there are only a few ways to install anything android related:
Flash it - placing zip on sd card, booting into recovery and flash
install it - placing apk on sd card and clicking on it
Push it - done by using adb codes
Quite sure on that page its nothing more than flashing thru recovery since I have already done it.
