Are you a troll? The screen is HD Super AMOLED+, the best there is right now.

No, the screen is Super AMOLED HD. There is no + because its Pentile.
Also, its less "smooth" shall we say, than my Droid Charge which was Plus, I'll agree there.
But the overall density makes it good enough, and better than my Fascinate. SIGNIFICANTLY better than any qHD screen I've used on a Motorola.
Just my two cents. Maybe you got a bad phone? Or maybe you really are just a troll...

HD Super Amoled actually.
But it does seem this person is a troll.
And I haven't noticed any screen issues on my Verizon GN.
Our screen is 1280 x 720, Razr's is 960 x 540.
The screen doesn't come close to my SII but it's not that bad. It's worth it to be away from Sprint.
Sorry guys I had my facts wrong. I t turns out that my screen is defective. Sucks, gotta return it already

What was wrong with your screen? If you don't mind me asking. So far no problems for me, but I want to know what to look for.
I had a persistent green blob on the upper right of the screen of my first Galaxy Nexus. It was quite visible on white and other light backgrounds but difficult to see otherwise.
Sorry for calling you a troll. Your post just seemed very strange since my screen is beautiful. And I just exchanged my Razr today.

How to Calibrate the Display?

Hi, i have a question.
The One X is my first Android Phone and i would Calibrate the Display, if it is possible.
Does someone know something Like Spyder 3 Elite for Smartphones? I use it for my Pc Monitor and MBP and it works very nice. The Colores are perfect after Calibration. If someone knows how i Can Do this with my X please let me Know
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
There is a free app called "Screen Adjuster" , but it`s far from calibration.
I know you can calibrate a TV, by using the guide below and a hardware calibrator, but it might not be possible with the HOX, as the screen is too small, and you need to touch the screen to adjust the color sliders, maybe attach a mouse?

John.
I have an idea, with a custom Rom it might be possible to edit the color values, right?

Yes, blue is the ony setting worth to adjust. I set mine to 15, but keyboard for instance get's too blueish. Whites get better.

SHOW OFF YOUR SCREEN with THESE

I just wanted to start this thread and see what xda users can come up with to show off our perfect screens. Videos preffered of course.
Make sure you test it before hand so as to ensure excellent quality!

I personally think that any 720p anime look extremely good on the HOX screen , preferably one with bright colors.
Yeah anything animated whether its CGI or Anime would most definitely do the trick. A photo I took of my back yard seemed to capture ridiculously lush bright greenery which does 2 jobs of showing off how nice the screen is and how good the camera is.
I always watch anime along the way to work.
I tend to just find videos on YouTube which I know have 720p available. I play paintball, so I often use youtu[dot]be/UFmKIOTYWNs or youtu[dot]be/nCGMQC2wWn4 (not allowed to actually post links yet).
Note, there is dubstep-ish music in these videos. If you don't like dubstep, don't open the links (just fair warning!). There are also some short scenes between cuts of paintball footage that are a little edgy, eg there's a very short clip of a pole dancer (fully clothed at least) in the second video.
I like to use these videos because 1) 720p is available, 2) it's a video of something I do, 3) the videos not only show off the screen's resolution but also do a pretty good job showcasing the colours and contrast.
Despicable Me in 720p looks brilliant.

^ Yes what a perfect example. http://www.bigbuckbunny.org/index.php as well.
To be fair, despicable me looks great on anything.
I can't remember any stand out films that look good, they all do. But as for pictures, the HTC wallpapers look great and make the screen stand out to people.

This is probably the best to use when you want to amaze someone with your great screen.

There was another one that was fullscreen, I'm trying to find it now.
Also not fullscreen, but on Vimeo, has slightly better HD quality I think/

Just enable ''Watch in Couch-Mode'' when right-clicking the video, should be a setting for the same thing for mobile too.
Just watched the Monsters university trailer. Holy crap, that looks awesome on my hox.

I've found a feature that makes s3 owners jealous. If my screen is on 70% brightness for 5 mins I can attach a handle on the back of my one x and iron my jeans.

Nexus Design Expectations

What kind if build quality and design do u want???
And what do u think the real design would be.
Who do u think would build it if we have only ONE nexus instead of FIVE.
(Design not hardware/specs)
--------------------------------------------------
If I have helped you.... hit that sexy thanks button. ^_^
I want mine to be out of titanium with a nuclear cell in it instead of a battery (so I can recharge my cars battery when it's drained), 4k resolution 5 inch screen, 2000 Hours screen on time, hexacore cpu 2,8 ghz with nvidia sli gpus, only 5mm thick, 50 megapixel camera with 2 xenon flashes and it should only cost 100 euro ohhh and threads like that really need to stop.

yes i agree this is a dumb thread. This is a dev site, not users' personal forums where they just start random topics to have a place to socialize

Battery Replacement Tutorial (with the One X+ Battery) WITH REVIEW!

hi
I made a video tutorial on how to change the battery, its my first tutorial so let me know what i could improve etc.
I already followed some advice about going over some things too fast and so I left annotations via YouTube! :good:
Anyways, it's been almost a week with the new battery, my phone is still perfectly working and I will be doing another video reporting the improvements soon... but overall, the battery life is much better and the phone doesn't get as hot!
Enjoyyyy....
hey guys, just did a video of a load of screenshots of the new battery performance... check it out... hopefully, it'll answer the question of is it worth it
(had to re-upload due to copyright infringement with the music lol)
:good:
It would be good if anyone could post links to companies that will sell genuine HTC One X+ battery

i think sooo, but it sounds like ur holding me to a contract haha... battery life is relative, apparently some HOXs get 6-7 hours screen on time but i've never seen it! i think i know 4 HOXs which all had similar battery life performance to me when i had the old battey...
I'm tempted to buy one of these batteries and give the swap a go. How are people getting on with new the battery 1 month on?
