Will the SAMSUNG GALAXY S3 UNIFIED TOOLKIT V7.0 work on a i747 using 4.3.
Currently, there is no free unlock method for the s3 running stock 4.3.
Looking here: http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=213, I see no mention of 4.3 being supported by the toolkit.

CF-Auto-Root worked on my S3 running stock 4.3. I was hating the new Knox and had to get out. I think it took 2 tries but was very painless.

What version of the S3 are you using? Looks like most of the problems reported have been with the AT&T i747.

I want to unlock and root my i747. My note 2 is a bell phone. My i747 is from rogers. Is there a difference in the downloads. Thanking you for the help.
You could load a rooted 4.3 rom , use mobile Odin to downgrade to 4.1.1 to see if you can use the free unlock method. Just don't try to downgrade the bootloader; otherwise, you'll have to buy an unlock code.
The link should have a download for Rogers 4.3.

Used odin to root with rogers 4.3 file (Current I747MVLUEMK5 (JB 4.3) - New!
Mirror 1: Download root66_RWC_I747MVLUEMK5_2.7z), worked perfect. Then tried to download 4.1.1 (I747MVLDLK4 (JB 4.1.1)

Once you install a 4.3 stock bootloader, you cannot downgrade the bootloader.
When you flash the Rogers pre-rooted 4.3 rom via desktop Odin, you are replacing the existing bootloader with an identical bootloader and replacing the existing ROM with a 4.3 ROM.
When you flash the Rogers pre-rooted 4.1.1 ROM via desktop Odin, Odin tries to replace the 4.3 bootloader with a 4.1.1 bootloader which can't be done and causes a soft brick.
You can try re-installing the pre-rooted Rogers 4.3.ROM and use mobile Odin to downgrade the OS from 4.3 to 4.1.1. Mobile Odin will not touch the existing bootloder or modem.

When you install the 4.1.1 from AT&T, there is not sound or phone service because the modem is probably incompatible with the ROM.
When installing the 4.1.1 Rogers ROM via mobile Odin, go into recovery and do a factory wipe/reset. Hopefully, doing this will allow the phone to boot.

Found an original copy of rogers 4.1.1, installed worked good but no sound or cell. Installed 4.2 modem got sound and and cell back. Phone now boots up ok and says it is in 4.1.1. Unlock code still not working, 4th menu not coming up, rebooted, tried numerous things, no luck. I think the boot loader from 4.3 is somehow blocking this from working. Not sure were to go from here, any ideas.
Another user loaded a stock 4.1.1 ROM onto his phone with a 4.3 bootloader and could not get the necessary menu options to unlock which leads me to believe you need to be running a completely stock ROM, including the bootloader.
So, I'm not a complete noob to flashing roms/rooting devices. I flashed cm 11 to my s3, and decided I wanted to go back to stock via Odin. For some reason when I tried to turn on my device it was still showing the cm 11 splash screen and wouldn't proceed any further. It isn't technically bricked. I guess this would be classified as a boot loop to the nth degree. I tired to boot in recovery mode and wipe the cache partition and all user data to the same cm 11 robot taunting me. When I tried the process (flashing stock vi Odin) again to possibly fix whatever might have been a miss, I got the error message on the download screen "secure check fail: sb12." On the download mode screen it also says I am running the official system rom. I don't know what steps I need to take from here to get my phone to actually boot via the stock rom. Has anybody else had this issue or similar? Any help in resolving this would be greatly appreciated.
Is your phone a i747? If you are you running a stock 4.3 bootloader on your i747, you can't use Odin to flash back to stock unless the ROM was specifically designed to be flashed in Odin.
What is shown on the screen in download mode?

I was under the impression the rom I was attempting to flash was indeed intended for Odin. It is the SGH-I747.
The download screen states,
Product Name: SGH-I747
Custom Binary: Custom
System Status: Official
Qualcom Secure Boot: Enable
Warranty Bit: 1
Bootloader AP SWERV: 2
Here is an added bit of fun, in the midst of the process I accidentally checked "Nand erase all," in Odin at one point.
Based on the information provided, your phone is running a stock ATT 4.3 bootloader. The CM11 splash screen is still showing up because the flash did not actually happen. You're lucky your phone was not bricked in the process of using Odin. I recommend not using Odin to flash a ROM that tries to alter the bootloader.
I recommend flashing a custom recovery such as Philz Touch in Odin and flashing a different KK ROM such as Valudis.

I did. It said the the device couldn't be updated, or something to that effect.
Kies will not work without a stock recovery or a rooted phone from my experience.
I would be surprised if kies can restore your phone as ATT never released a full 4.3 stock ROM. ATT only made 4.3 available via an OTA update.

So, I know there is a "thanks," button but I feel like that would be a little too informal for how much I appreciate your help! I downloaded ADB to move the rom (I went with AOKP because it was the first one that worked) to my phone, flashed it using TWRP and...BAM! We are back in business. Thanks for the direction, I thought I had a nice, new, shiny brick on my hands for about two days.

Canadian carriers use the i747m while att users get the i747.
The Canadian carriers did release a full 4.3 ROM unlike att who did not.
I got Rogers Samsung Galaxy S3 SGH-I747M.
On it is installed Cyanogenmod 11 20140531 nighty d2lte with Android 4.4.2.
I found this firmware : Canada (Rogers) (Black Edition) , 2012 May , I747MVLALE8
PDA: I747MVLALH1 CSC: I747MOYBALH1 MODEM: I747MVLLH1
and program Odin3-v3.09.
The phone is locked to Rogers.
The color is white.
My goal is to unlock SIM lock.
1. Can I put firmware in zip format on SD card and just restore from SD card in recovery mode?
2. If no, what steps to do to reach the goal to get 4.1.1 stock ROM (rogers? telus? att?) to unlock SIM lock?
3. Maybe I have to do it from laptop with Odin or from the phone with Odin?
4. What are my options to get the goal 4.1.1. stock to get unlock SIM lock because I found free solution with that requirements on XDA forum?
Is there any 4.4.x custom rom for samsung gt-s6312
Sent from my GT-S6312 using XDA Free mobile app

Than more I know than more questions:
a) The ROM I found here is stock ROM 4.3 I can revert to -? -> by meanhacker -> Rogers (RWC) MK5 , because I checked about baseband version is i747mvluemk5.
b) I bought the code and when inserted non-accepted active SIM card from my another carrier, got the window asking PIN to unlock network , entered and got unsuccessful. The company said is right unlock code by IMEI sure.
So my question is does the particular Cyanogenmod 11-20140531-nighty-d2lte custom firmware prevent somehow to unlock SIM lock?
c) Do I have this KNOX issue or not, or is it prevent to downgrade ?
d) I found some KNOX remover can I apply it and downgrade after?
You should revert to a stock 4.3 ROM in order to use the unlock code.
There is a 4.3 ROM for Rogers you can use . search for a pre_rooted ROM on xda.

You cannot downgrade your bootloader.
Do not load any ROM via Odin that is older than 4.3. Don't load any att ROM as that could brick your phone too.
Was your phone ever running stock kit kat?

I don't have KK on my i747m. I loaded the stock 4.1.2 ROM and went straight to a custom 4.4 ROM.
Did you ever have the stock 4.4 ROM on your phone? If you did, I'm not sure if you can load a stock Rogers 4.3 ROM via Odin because the stock 4.4 ROM may have altered the 4.3 bootloader. The stock Rogers 4.3 ROM from sammobile.com and the pre-rooted ROM on XDA will load a stock 4.3 bootloader if flashed via Odin. You could flash a stock ROM via mobile Odin which does not alter the bootloader.
Once you are on the 4.3 bootloader, you cannot downgrade the bootloader regardless of whether you do or do not have Knox.
If you are sure you never had the stock 4.4 ROM on your phone, you could use Odin to load a stock Rogers 4.3 ROM, unlock your phone, go back to a custom ROM.
When flashing a ROM or altering your phone's software, there is always the risk of bricking your phone. Just be prepared to deal with a possible brick.

But I solved problem to revert back to stock ROM using file I747MVLUEMK5_I747MOYBEMK5_TLS
been installing not from SD card but using laptop and Odin.
After I boot the phone I put SIM card and on pop-upped window entered official unlock code.
For using Odin program, I downloaded from internet vmware fusion, after found my cd disk with windows 7 ultimate and installed it.
After installed Odin and transferred above file to internal system and put the phone in downloaded mode connected and after a few minutes I get my phone booted with stock ROM.
What I surprised I did not find official page in Wiki of Cyanogenmod for official way to uninstall their product.
So I decided not to install the software that does not have official uninstallation tool. They have installation program only.
It's not good for us regular users. Before to come into the dark room usually it has to have to see exit way clearly.

I know of no custom ROM that can completely uninstall itself. One of best ways to revert back to stock is to flash via Odin which you were able to do.
Once I got the upgrade bug, I don't stick with stock for too long.
Congratulations on your success:good:
So I ran into some issues with flashing an android 6.0 ROM (slim6) on my AT&T Galaxy S3 I747 and was wondering if its safe to revert back to the stock firmware using odin and start over from scratch. The stock firmware being Jellybean 4.1.1. I have it rooted and CWM installed. I havent done anything with the bootloader (unless flashing a new cutom ROM messes with that.) As of now I have access to both download mode and recovery menus. The issues I have is an error message after the phone boots up that says "Unfortunately, Setup Wizard has stopped" and I cannot get past. Also, since I use this phone with T-mobile, would I have to unlock it again if I were to revert to stock?
Once the phone is sim unlocked, it should remain unlocked after flashing ROMs, bootloaders, and modems.
You cannot flash a stock rom via Odin unless the bootloader on the phone is 4.2.2 or older.
