[Q] HTC One X Tegra 3 Radio Problem after Updating CID - HTC One X

Greetings! I have this problem I realized after I try to flash latest ViperX ROM. My Radio is disabled and the phone doesn't show IMEI number. I have tried flashing the included kernel manualy to no avail. Funny thing is it works fine with older kernel from ViperX. Before this problem occur i remember I have flashed a few kernel before such as IcedColdJelly, Renovate, Revolution to name a few, all went smooth without any problem. Now I can't flash any of those above and sad thing is I can't even use latest ROM from ViperX anymore. Can someone point me solution for this? I can't find any threads regarding this problem with answer.

[Q] GPS issues since flashing ROM & radio

Hi guys,
Very new to XDA devs so apologies if this is a simple one
I have a Desire HD rooted, ENG S-OFF, radio S-OFF, Android Revolution HD 3.1, radio 12.35d.60.140fP_26.06.03.24.M2 and no matter what I try the GPS will not work. As far as I can see the radio I am using was the one recommended for use with this ROM? BTW everything else works great.
I tried flashing back to stock 1.36 and the GPS works no problems. I don't think this is a ARHD specific issue as I tried CM7 with the same problem.
Any ideas please?
i have been having GPS issues as well. Sock works and for me Android Revolution HD 3.1 worked very well 3.2 started to get a bit iffy.
I am on CM7 RC2 and its working now, i am still testing thou, but i have been through a lot of radios. I am testing this one atm http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=996630

I will try and flash that radio when I get home from work, anyone think there would be issues flashing 12.35d.60.140fU_26.08.03.07_M onto a DHD with ARHD 3.1? Still quite new to this so really don't want to brick my baby lol.
Thanks
Ok, I decided to give it a second go. I did a full wipe, reinstalled ARHD 3.1 via recovery and then reflashed the radio 12.35d.60.140fP_26.06.03.24.M2 and all works now GPS locks in 5-6s max. The only difference between this install and the last one was I manually wiped the device this time (davlik cache etc) instead of using the recovery reset.

Couple of issues with Wifi/Radio updates

So I recently installed MIUI, and as soon as I did my Wifi radio stopped working. Every time I try to switch it, it turns back off and says "error."
I figured this was a problem with my radio (26.02.01.15_M2) when I found another irksome problem. When I go to flash PC10IMG.zip the bootloader gets to "Checking PC10IMG.zip) and then quits and refuses to attempt the update.
Any ideas?
I apologize if this question has been asked, but I couldn't find anything similar in the short search I did.
Thanks in advance!
Could be a bad download? Which Radio are you trying to flash?
Download the radio from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=970809
Dont know what ROM you are running but Vision_Radio_12.52. 60.25_26.08.04.30 seems to be a good one, download the attached file for wiping the EFS(Important when flashing radios)
The link has further instructions and information, hope that helps
Hey, thanks for your response! I actually tried three different Radios from that thread (the first three), and none of them worked. I ran an efs wipe yesterday because I was having GPS problems, and these problems persisted after that...
FWIW, when I flash other kernels/ROMs, things work fine (CM7, PyroMod, Stock) but on MIUI these problems crop up.

Do you mean you can update the radio with other ROMs or do you mean that the wifi problem is only on MIUI?If your problem is only with MIUI cant help as I dont use that ROM but still doesnt explain your problem with flashing a radio as the bootloader is independent of the ROM
I think the wifi radio and the cellular radio are different and when you flash the radio firmware, it only updates the cellular radio firmware. Someone more knowledgable than me will probably correct me. It's probably something screwy with the MIUI roms which is effecting you. If you want to use MIUI then try one of the other MIUI roms that are out there and also notify the developer of the MIUI rom your using about your issue.
I hate the recent radios for G2 latest one from Bell sucks. Signal drops every few seconds, data connection is just OK. Very disappointed. I did the efs wipe and auto ril matcher V6 and all this other bs and I hate it.

WiFi problem on Jelly Bean

I have wifi problem at all JB roms.
When I enable wifi, the switch goes On, but available networks list is empty.
Tried p9, p10 by Nikez; Elk rom (0.33, 0.35); preston's AOKP; few more roms..
All works perfect at 2.2 - 4.0.4 ROMs. Only problem with JB.
Tried to install on STOCK table, full wipe, latest radio (5.17.05.23).
Tried to install over stock 2.2 and stock 2.3 ROMs.
Tried various recoveries: CWM (+Touch), 4EXT, RuHD.
Tried various radios: 5.11.05.27, 5.17.05.08, 5.17.05.23.
I haven't any ideas. Pls help!

This is not problem with JB rom. No one else complained with this issue. It is a problem with my device configuration. But I can't understand what's wrong.
The problem starts when you choose to install ICS/JB rom...

solved. all works now.

Anything on how you got it to work?

I've got exactly the same problem. If your problem is solved, please tell us the solution.
If anyone else knows how to solve this issue, please let us know.
I tried different JB Roms, and it's the same.
I first thought it is an S-Off or full-wipe problem, but nothing helped. WiFi won't work.

[Q] ViperX 2.7.1 Battery Drain

Hi,
since i installed the ViperX Rom a couple of days ago, my battery drains pretty quick when it is in use. The screen and the back of the phone also get pretty hot after some time. Any clues as of why that is?
I would use the newer Jellybean Rom, but because of my phones H3G cid i can't use it, correct?
Thanks for help
Its not the cid that is important , the hboot number has to match, but afaik H3G has not rolled out the JB yet, and there is no unofficial firmware for your cid so yes in that case you are stuck on ICS roms !
But you ha e problems with viper X ICS, did you try another rom t check if its software related or that its just coincidence that leads to a faulty battery ?!
The problem didn't occur when I was on the stock rom (either rootet or not) for a few weeks. But no, I haven't tried any other custom rom until now.
I had great batt life with stock kernel on viper X , also with ncx kernel. You could try a different kernel. Also install better batt stats from the playstore. It shows you what's eating the batt
Ok thx, i'll try that and report back later. I'll probably try wiping the phone and flashing the rom again too.

WiFi not working on HTC one m8

Hi I pretty much know nothing about custom roms etc but I was forced to go for a custom ROM due to a friend wiping my phone but when I flashed Viper 3.2.1 everything was fine except the wifi button was greyed out, I also tried android revolution and the same problem occured. However it was fine when i tried candy5 but once i flashed google play the wifi stopped working again.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how i should fix it? thanks.
Hope you are on latest 4.4.4 firmware , link for the same should be in OP/FAQ of Viper.

If you are only unlocked and not s-off you will need to manually flash the corresponding boot.img for each rom each time you flash a new rom. If you can get s-off you won't need to do this anymore.
Firmware needs to be updated. Confirmed on OP's other thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-m8/help/htc-one-m8-bricked-t2989202/page2
Also its not necessary to manually extract and flash boot.img on the M8, even when s-on. Folks giving this advice may be carrying over knowledge from an older HTC device.
