On TW roms the navigation voice will not say street names. It will simply say turn left or right. However, on AOSP roms Navigation will say the names of the streets. For the life of me I can't get Navigation on TW to say the street names.
Anyone have any idea how I can get Navigation to read out the street names?
Anyone have ideas?
There has to be some brainiac around here that has some clue what I'm talking about and knows how to fix it?

This is going to seem like a dumb question, but it's been killing me and I just have to know. I've tried searching around for the answer but haven't been able to formulate the proper search terms to find anything.
Anyway, what is that compass-shaped icon in the notification bar when you are running Sense? No non-Sense builds seem to have it. I've circled it in this image:

Thanks in advance for satisfying my curiosity.

Damn, I went through the manual before posting and missed it. Sorry. Well, thanks for the answers guys.
Is there a way to hide that icon? I really already know if its on or off because what I set it at I don't need to see it every time I read the top bar of my phone.
Hey guys
Whats the app called where you can get side icons round the screen? I think there usually word icons, text, email etc

First my gps wasnt working right, used some fixes/tweaks i found.
Now i have gps lock which is great.
thing is that the arrow of several navigation apps is pointing wrong way.
So its like on a straight road, arrow should be pointing up.
but the arrow is pointing down, so its like im driving backwards i think.
i wonder if any had this problem know a fix. im afraid its the hardware that makes my gps like this
What app are you using? Make sure you haven't selected north always at top

Does anyone know how to enable this? Is it an app or is it included in cm9/aokp? Sorry if the answer is obvious I haven't been on the forum as much as I'd like and of course I can't find what I'm looking for via a search.

use aokp or the reloaded app in the general android development.
You can slide across the status bar to change brightness even on stock, but it only works if you turn off auto brightness.

It means that this device is not compatible with any "i" device. Iike iPad, iPhone, iMac, iHome, iBaiter, etc. lol.
i device?
what do u mean? this is a new bought phone and become like this after upgrade to latest software.
Drop down the notification bar and see if there is something there silly...but I would have to say that has something to do with a blocked notification of some sort from an app or within the system.
task/ktoonsez AOKP Jelly smeared on my S3.
That, my friend, would be a good ol american joke. Truth is I have no idea what that icon is for.
