[Q] Build AOSP 4.1.2 ? - LG Optimus G (International)

Does someone could build a AOSP Jelly bean 4.1.2 whith the source code for F180 korean models?
I would really like the original Jelly Bean, if a developer has the time it would be very appreciated!!
Also I think it would make a good base for other ROM
Best regards.

In. Nothing out there 100% working for the Korean F180 devices afaik. Seems like the camera is one of the things always broken, and that's a deal breaker for me.

This is why it would be good to have a good foundation with AOSP 4.1.2 not 4.2.2

newer AOKP port for DHD/Inspire??

has anyone or can anyone port a newer version of AOKP for the DHD/Inspire? like milestone 1 or whichever one is newest? I personally only like aokp and not too fond of the aosp or aospx. I flashed Pacman rom but had too many problems with it.
so if anyone can port one it would be GREATLY appreciated.
thanks a lot

You mean AOKP Android 4.2? We've just got an AOSP based 4.2 ROM, so I'd just be paitent for a AOKP based follow up. If not, maybe you can suggest it to synergy or RandomBlame? I believe RandomBlame already has a 4.2 ROM, but it's in its baby stages as of yet.
no a JB version 4.1 im back to running aokp release 7 from the github. but hasnt been a new one since like September.

RandomBlame is on Release 30 now, look for JellyTime in the Development forum
I don't know about 4.2 AOKP, but if it's options you want you could try cfX 4.2.
I tried aosp ROMS and cfx 4.1 but I don't like them as much as AOKP for some reason. Although I have not tried cfx 4.2 yet. Was waiting for Bluetooth to work. Also I've tried jellytime aosp and I always come back to aokp. I ran Icecoldsandwich for the longest time but I want to stay on JB and not ICS. If I actually had the time (kids, work, wife) I would try porting a newer aokp over to dhd/inspire myself but I never have time. Even dropping a deuce is apparently a "team sport" according to my kids. LOL.
bump?
cfX bluetooth works now, if that is what's still preventing you from using it.
And just today: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2113047.

The reason is very obvious one
AOSP - clean unbranded stock android
AOKP - unbranded android with cleanly built in to settings menu additional features like CPU OC, status bar tweaks etc.... with everything else as close as possible to AOSP.

Thank God. if I knew how to Port and had the time I would have done it myself. but major thanks go to PipelinerArd for the ROM.

Just got a Nitro HD, need help

Hey guys. I just got a Nitro HD and have got TRWP installed.
I've tried pac-man 4.3, and now AOKP 4.2.2
I've noticed these two jelly bean roms, run great, and have meh battery life.
Whenever I launch a game however, and close the game, my phone will be running at 20-30fps really crappily.
Could someone suggest a good rom that won't do this? I just want to play my darn hill climb game
Also I could use recommendation for the best baseband to use? Currently on V10f baseband.
My battery life is terrible and when I downgraded to 4.2 I put Wind Kernel on and it doesn't seem to help, nor show voltage control. What apps works?
Also my Camera doesn't work at all. I always get "Cannot connect to camera"
If someone could help me out, I've be very grateful. I miss my S3 now D:
From my experience of su640 it's always bad experience with custom ROMs if they are not on lg stock.
For me best bet was always lg 4.1.2

I didn't know there was an official 4.1.2. In Canada, the P930 stopped at 4.04.
For a custom rom and good battery life, try Avatar with Wind 2.5 kernel and PurePerformance. I set my governors to Smatassv2 for CPU and Noop for i/o.
I can't comment on the gaming abilities of this rom since I don't game.
4.3 was just released for this rom this month, so there are no really optimized kernels. If you want a more stable rom look for builds on 4.2 branch (cm 10.2) . And like audit13 said windkernel is the best to install as well.

I thought cm10.1 was based on 4.2.2 and cm10.2 was 4.3.
I use Avatar but the themes don't seem to work with the Wind kernel. Not a big deal for me since I like a very plain and uncluttered interface.

[Q] Build AOSP ROM

Hello Developers
is someone able to create an AOSP (KitKat 4.4) ROM for our Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini? It would be great if we have a "vanilla" Android version for our Smartphone and this can be used as base for other ROMs. Would be great if someone could build it
Greetings

Most ROM are based on AOSP or CM (which CM is based on AOSP) :/
And if you want a minimum ROM, there's few ROMs are even less 'bloat' and more 'vanilla' than AOSP itself.
I think he meant that he wanted an actual aosp rom, not just an aosp based rom. While we don't have a pure "aosp" rom for our phones, cyanogenmod is pretty close, slimkat is also pretty bare if you're into that. I'm sure a lot of people could port it, it just remains to be seen if any developer is interested enough to actually do it.
Yes a pure AOSP ROM would be great. The whole ROMs which are aviable for our device are based on AOSP so I think it wouldn't be so difficult to build one from AOSP isn't it?

Slim kat is equal to Slim ROM? In that case there is already a port to the S4 mini in the developer section of this forum

Anyone else feel JB was still the "best" version for GNEXUS?

Anyone else feel JB was still the "best" version for GNEXUS?
I've been a flash addict since I got the phone. Always going for the experimental, nightly builds and such.
However, I am getting tired of my gnexus lagging, and slowing down randomly. I've always felt 4.1 JB was very responsive and good memory management for my phone. anyone feel the same way?
4.1 has been the only version of Android I've not had any issues with and I'm still running today.
I think people just get to caught up on having/running the latest/greatest Android version, when really our GN was made to run perfectly on JB 4.1.
4.2 was made for N4
4.4 for N5
If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Me too. But ATM I have cm11 (4.4) and it's not bad at all.

4.1 you say?
Mine came with 4.2 so will give 4.1 a try. Battery life was not good with stock 4.2 but better with fancy kernel or any of the newer ROM.
I tried CM11, Avatar, Slim, PA, Vanir and others.

I don't think any particular Android version is "made" for a device in particular.
Yes, Jelly Bean originally debuted on the 2012 Nexus 7 and the Nexus 4 saw the next major update but that doesn't mean that Android still can't run on any other device provided that the kernel and ROM are optimized for it. Those devices were just test/reference devices for development.
I have cyanogenmod Kitkat on my device and it runs as good (or better) than stock Jelly Bean.
It's like Windows 8. It runs good on some PCS, whereas on others it lags a bit.
Software is software and to the device it's all the same.
I'm also trying this theory ATM, will upgrade to a new phone soon but 4.4 has really been really slow after a while on my Gnex, even after converting to f2fs..
In other news, I now need to post in general discussion until I have enough posts to post in development so here goes.
For those of you still on 4.1, would you mind uploading and sharing the roms you are using?

This is more than enough. Thank you!
i'm running omni on my toroplus now 4.4.4 and i would have to say this is much better than the stock roms (i've ran 4.1/4.2/4.3) and they all work, but i really dig the 4.4 only camera from google and i'm a version junkie...
i did try just stable releases from CM all the way back to 4.1.2 but couldn't get random things working and didn't feel like taking the time...
so far, between working 4g/3g handoff's, more stable wifi, access to the latest apps that need 4.4 (camera is the only one that comes to mind) i'll run omni...still hoping that the awesome kernel guys will get 3.4 working and we can move to android L for some of that awesome battery life

actually, galaxy nexus was "made to run" ICS if you recall correctly
JB debuted with the original nexus 7
Hello! For this phone is better stock 4.3 or say CM 11 (4.4.4)?

True...
But ICS 4.0 was essentially JB 4.1 without Google Now.
Where JB 4.2+ added multiple changes to various app designs:
Camera
Clock
Gallery
Keyboard
Quick tiles

Um, "Project butter" was introduced with JB 4.1. I know everyone was after that on their ROMs...
The best Android versions for the Galaxy Nexus are definitely 4.1 and 4.3 final releases. The problems with 4.4.x that finally made me ditch it are the unfixed radio issues and subsequent battery drain. I've heard that some roms such as Dirty Unicorns, Omnirom, and Slimkat have this fixed, or at least the radio cutout issue. My favorites though that give me good battery, performance, and features are 4.1.2 LiquidJB and 4.3.1 Vanir, the latter being my daily driver.
This folder includes 4.1.2 gapps and a few other addons (flash rom, gapps, then addons):

Hi GL
The MD5 for 4.2 TransformPack, gapps-jb-20121011 and pa_toro-2.57-20130116 don't match by the way, even after multiple downloads.

Would a stock android 4.4 rom work better or a 5.0,6.0, or 7.0 rom(for battery)?

Right now I am on TW 4.4 and I am looking for a rom that has good battery performance and that is less laggy. I need BT to work because I heard some don't work. Also, what is the difference between official and unofficial roms? Anyways, thanks for the help and I hope we can find the right rom for me.
