Since people really like being douches. I will answer. If you like the Defender, go for the Commuter. It's got tons of protection and is fairly slim. I prefer it to the Defender because the hard shell is on the outside.

How is it being a douche? Please explain.
The search tab is there to help. Instead of having to wait for replies. Most likely there's a thread on this wonderful site for pretty much everything you can think of.

I use UAG case. Probably the best case I've had. But I often swap it to my Samsung Official Slim Case (that mostly depends on my clothing or activities I'm planning to do)
This thread has a lot of pictures to look at. It's a good place to start when it comes to finding the case you want.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1829628
I personally browsed through it for awhile and looked for reviews on any cases that I thought looked decent. Ended up going with a PX360, but it's a bulky case like the Defender.

I generally like to have multiple cases for my phones. I have bought a couple of cases already without having the phone and would like to know which one you guys think is the best. These are the cases I have bought:

I havent heard many good things about the popcase that it may not provide enough protection. It looks cool though. I have the toughcase but its a dust magnet for starters and the silicone also gets in the way of my screen protector (zagg) at the corners. I have a diztronic tpu case and i like the fit of it better and its thin enough to not be too noticeable. So far i like it best but im still waiting for something better....like otterbox?
Yes, I can not wait for the otterbox. I also found a case for other phones called Sillicrylic (I think thats how you spell it) and that looks like an awesome case!
i think nude is better!
Hi, before I get my SGN i had a Desire HD with PoP case !
And I was very satisfied with it
Thank you, I just noticed that one of the ebay links is actually 7 cases, which is awesome so I can switch it out. I will let you guys know which one is best when I get them.

I have this one, and for £1.89 I think it is pretty fantastic. Looks and feels great!
Nay to all of the above
Why hide the Google design. If you look at the use of the phone, the corners are the most hit, so a bumper design is the best. the cases in this post like others I've found are thick and bulky for no real benefit.
iPhone is the best example of what we need.
"Can't paste the link as I'm too new but refer to Ebay "iPhone 4S bumper"
We need to push this design before making out pockets bulk up...
GNex Bumper case DIY
I made a simple DIY mod to turn a cheap case into a Bumper case.
Search instructibles.com for 'DIY Bumper Case for Galaxy Nexus' and it will come up.
I would like to keep my phone without a case but the fear of dropping or body wear would get under my skin.
I have a diztronic currently and I'm also ordering some cruzerlite cases.

I have a case obsession as well and have many for the Gnex. My latest is the otterbox commuter, which I really love - though its noteworthy that many people do not like this case. A good one as well is the Trident Agesis - I am waiting for this one to be release at the end of Feb.

I like the S-Line wave grip case I have, it's a slim case and doesn't add too much bulk and adds grip.
I've also got a SUPERGETS Dual layer case, but that adds a lot of bulk, it'll probably have more chance of saving my phone than the Sline but whats the point having a case when it makes you not want to use the phone?

Loving the Incipio Silicrylic. Being made of 2 pieces it gives decent shock protection and is not that bulky like most dual cases.

Yes, it's my review. Why else do you think I posted it. I've yet to have anyone that has taken my advice disagree or complain. Read the review and read all the reviews on Amazon. The case is legit. It's my favorite all around case.

I am settled or I wouldn't be trying to answer your question. I don't get a damn thing if you buy the case. I don't really know how to answer the question other than it is about same as any other hybrid case I've used. Nothing that would drive me nuts.

Urban Armor Gear case hands down. I typically hate cases on my phones because I think it ruins the aesthetics and the feel of the device in your hand, but in my opinion the UAG enhances both. Hi guys, I spent a lot of time searching for a case for my white galaxy s3 but could not decide on one. Can someone please suggest me one. My requirements are:
1) It should not add a lot of bulk as I will be carring it in my pocket
2) Its ok if it is not one of those heavy duty ones like otterbox as I do not drop my phone.
3) I need the power and volume buttons to be useable and the cut outs to align properly.
4) A soft case would be preferred as I do not want to scratch the sides on my phone.
Thanks in advance
Look here, great cases. http://www.cruzerlite.com/

I would recommend getting a diztronic tpu case from amazon. They are thin, have a lip to protect the screen when face down, and are around ten dollars. I love mine.

I'd say get an Urban Armor Gear case but it sounds like it adds a little more bulk than you want. Still it doesn't add that much more bulk and it fits in my pocket just fine.

Hello,
With this topic i would like to ask out of these 2 populair cases wich one is best in your honest opinion?
In my opinion i think so far the UAG is alot more nice and maybe a bit less thick,
But maybe the Commutor is alot more Durable and better against drops? But also a bit uglyer than the UAG.
I am still struggling just due i think it has to be good against drops, Due thats whats a case is for obviously.
I hope you can help me out of this and probably other users aswell since i doubt i am the only one ^^
Best regards,
DrLuigi
Or of course if you have another case wich isnt above 35-40 dollar please say so ^^
But i think these two are the best around for this price tag.
I tried out the commuter at a bestbuy and while the case feels nice. the buttons are insanely hard to press. You have to really press it really hard and you don't get feedback so you don't know if you pressed it or not until the screen reacts.
Other members here have said that it eases up over time but not that much.
I personally have the ballistic sg and it seems to be the nicest for me. (not the maxx, just the sg)

Yeah,
Heard the same thing about buttons, But not becoming lose at all, is what i heard,
Also it just doesnt seem nice anyhow, But its very strong i have heard against drops.
Also i have to say that case seems nice,
But i do think Urban one does look nicer,
But idk about being good against drops or anything.
Trident Case has a few rugged options and I heard they are coming out with a charging case too. They range from $35-$50 but they are having a sale, 25% off everything.
I have the commuter. Highly recommend it for protection. It has saved my phone from so many drops.I think some people exaggerate on how hard the buttons are to press. Yes you have to press them a little harder but not much. I just ordered a Uag case since i heard so many great things about them. Either way I don't you can go wrong with either case.

Any idea when it should arrive?
Just so you could tell us maybe how you think it is?
For example so you could tell us wich one you would prefer as first case?
Due the chance is pretty high i get both aswell (Well or something else ofc like a Power Charge case) , but the second will be for over like 3-4 months so ye
Thanks for the help everyone ^^
For Otterbox commuter and Ballistic SG case, please have a look to my thread as I had deeply compare both. For UAG, there is a thread with more 200k view about the case. It's base on your personal preference. If you want your phone to be protected well (with dust cover), then get a Otterbox Commuter(Dont worry about the button, it will getting better after few weeks of use). If you want a unique looking, protective and less bulky case, then get a UAG case. Currently, commuter is much more cheaper than the UAG. I owned 3 of these ultimate protective case, I guarantee that you wont regret if you get either one. But personally, I recommended UAG..^^

Hai,
Thanks for the explaination,
Did not know there were such topics already there sry ^^
But i also just wanted to know wich one would be better when talking about Quality/Drop/being pretty.
Anyhow ^^
If anyone knows also a pretty cool case please repley ^^
I probably think to buy UAG first, Afterwards perhaps a Otterbox for when i do other stuff that it would be more common it to fall etc etc.
Best regards,
DrLuigi.
Btw how thick is that UAG case?
Since it seems on picture pretty reasonable thin,
But wanted to ask ye first ^^
Also is the back panel plastic smooth or grippy or?
Thanks ^^
I have the aviator UAG. Color isn't great, Gunna get the blue one instead sooner or later. As far as everything goes, great protection, solid feel, all around good quality. Little slippery on the back tho.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
So I just got my UAG case and I love it. It does feel a little slimmer than the commuter. I feel as if it is a bit less protection from the otterbox, but it feels so much better in the hands. I saw a drop test on youtube with this case and seems pretty good.
Sent from Flip's S3
I have both and I always find myself going back to my UAG. It fits better in my opinion and has a much thinner profile. The small raised areas on the back corners help it from sliding around when its on its backside on a flat surface. The otterbox on the other hand is slicker they the naked phone itself. The UAG also comes in and out of pocket easier. Lol my advice is extremely one sided, but its some food for thought.
Sent from inside the RootBox.
I personally am a otterbox fan I currently have the following otterbox cases for the s3
-gun metal grey / white defender
-orange / black / realtree camo defender
-red / black defender
-white / gunmetal commuter
-purple / pink commuter
I switch these cases out like switchimg out my underwear
YES THE COMMUTER CASE at first is hard to press the buttoms but the more you use it the better and easier it becomes
I also love otterbox customer service always friendly and have no problem exchanging out your case for you or trying to work out something
Ok so I think I got a defective UAG case. The power button on the case gets stuck when I push a little too hard which sends my phone in a bunch of bootloops. Contacted the seller and hopefully I get a replacement

After reading reviews and seeing how my wife's iPhone otterbox has held up (she's on her third replacement), I bought an uag yesterday. They look very rugged, kinda like a toolbox.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I bought one of the UAG cases for my S3 and it fits quite well. The screen slides on with ease and does not impair the use of the phone in any way, 100% of the buttons and screen are available. It also came with a nice screen protector. The size of it is minimal compared to the big otter box's huge size. The only downfall is the back is slippery. I give this case a 9 out of 10 total and if you cab find it cheap like I did, grab one.
Later
Steve
