Hi everyone. I'm new to this website and I'm new to posting in general. I just want to know if anyone knows where I can get the official oem rom of Windows Mobile 6.5.3 or 6.5.5? Not a cooked rom or anything like that. The official one. If anyone could help me out with this I would really appreciate it

Dont think one was released for this phone...
I could be wrong though.
I thought thats why the chefs take other phone ROMS and cook it for our Rhodium.
Otherwise you could download it from the HTC (or your carrier) site.

Ohhh thanks for replying. I didn't know they used other phone ROMS. But do you know of any ROMS that are good for the our Rhodium? I've used some ROMS before but they change stuff like the home button. They make it go to the start menu instead of home. Do you know a nice ROM where they let the home button actually go to the home screen?

There is no "home" button.

Yes there is in fact a home button. It has the windows logo on it.
I think you will find on here that most people will refer to that as the start button, and whilst I have been using newer ROMs for ages, I cannot remember when it did much else than go to the start menu?
No I'm talking about the button next to the back button on the htc touch pro2. That button sends me to the home menu with the time and weather and stuff.

if on a manila tab. you press the "home" button... you go to start menu. you press the "home" button again... you go back to the manila tab you were last on. hope that helps. : )

Which side of the back button ? You said it had a windows logo on it though ? I have a button with a windows logo (to the left of the back button), which correctly pulls up the "Start" menu. I have a button with a picture of a house (and a phone) on it) to the right of the start button, which goes to the Sense home tab.
I am confused. Presumably you are talking about the real buttons not the soft on screen buttons?
My TP2 has (from left to right)
The pickup phone button
The start button (windows logo)
The back button (arrow)
The endkey button (phone down logo and little house)
If I push the endkey when away from the homescreen it takes me back to the home page.
That still works for me. (Not on every manila tab, but most)
The start key has only ever (for me) mimicked what the soft start key does. (Which in my case is start Quickmenu as I have binned the normal start menu).
Guys, you are forgetting that he has TMOUS TP2, which has really HOME button next to the BACK and Pick up.
Anyway, I really prefer having it mapped to Start Menu, because on Home you can get by pressing end key too, so why use two keys for one thing? Wasting keys .

I was going by what he said below, which is what made me think he had an HTC-branded phone :

Oh yeah I forgot to add that. I do have the T-mobile version.
It a matter of taste, but I prefer the Valkyire roms, you will need to try a few to make your own decision.
Lol the reason your home key opens up the start menu is the same reason why your ctrl key on your keyboard is actually your alt key; you flashed a ROM that the keymapping is to a different Touch Pro2, if you google you'll find the TMOUS Rhodium/Touch Pro2 Keyboard fix...
Hi guys,
Few months ago I developed an app, which works works fine in almost all devices (from Froyo to ICS).
However, I tried it recently in the HOX and of course it causes the three-dots menu button to appear. So, my question:
What are the guideline for developing an app that is compatible with HOX?
Can someone point me to the right documentation?
I want my app not to show that damn three-dots menu button. ;-)
Thank you
Just got the SGIII and my GNex is now my 16 month old daughters learning device. We installed a whole bunch of baby stuff but the problem is she keeps hitting the home button and exiting the app.
The phone is rooted and I am running the Nova launcher so I could remove all the navbar buttons... But then I won't be able to exit some apps if there isn't a built in exit option...
My idea was to add a HOME button to the power button menu. That way I would have a way to exit but my daughter shouldn't be able to figure it out so easily. Does anyone know if this is possible?
I'm running Codename Android ROM but I'd change if there was one that would work better.
Also, does anyone know how to disable the google search option when you drag your finger up from the bottom... I can't stand it, I always seem to do it by mistake myself.
Thanks,
Jim
i dont think this is possible..
Ok I figured as much. Any other ideas how I could hide home button but still have access to it via some other means?

This sounds exactly what you're after. It lets you remove/restore the navbar from the power menu, preventing unwanted exits.
Sorry for posting here but it wont let me post on the development forums before im posted 10 times. Anyway ive rooted and installed the blade rom, however there is no menu to let me see my purchased apps in the play store. The phone menu button lets you switch applications as its a sense based rom. And there is no menu button at the top like the stock rom. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Hold recent apps button?
If it does not work go to settings > display and gestures > bind recent apps to menu

Let me start off by saying that this rom is so amazing. Brought back my galaxy grand duos to life. Huge difference from stock 4.2.2!!
One issue I noticed though: Press & hold home button activates recent apps AND now on tap at the same time!

and the question/problem is?
Like I said, press and hold home button is assigned for both recent app switcher AND now on tap. Which makes using now on tap impossible.

Make another 2 post and you'll be able to post/ask in the rom thread. You may have a better answer there than here, as Im not using the rom, so Im not able to provide better solution than this.
In cm12.1 under setting, there's button tab which have an option to set the button assign. See if your rom have the same option.
Edited: I just found this post, will gibe you the answer for your question.

Thanks, that was helpful.
AOSP does not have an option to change buttons. I love AOSP simplicity but the menu button is pretty useless on marshmallow. I'm trying to figure out a way to make it function as a recent app switcher instead.

I believe I read it in the aosp 6.0 thread about disabling the now on tap function, in Google setting I think. Check the link I gave, probably couple post before or after it.
