waterpfoof case for the s3 - Galaxy S III Accessories

I know a lot of us has been looking for a waterproof shockproof dustproof snow proof case for our s3. Lifeproof has failed to deliver same goes for with otterbox, they are taking for ever. I found one that is available in a few hours. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/enflux/agilis-series-premium-galaxy-s3-case check it out. And it is cheaper than otterbox.

100k in 52 hours yea i highly doubt it'll reach its goal. Best of luck though.

they should make a water proof case for a extended battery.

I completely agree.

this looks like an excellent case... I would buy 2 units (for me and the wife) if they made it.... they should also consider the back to be thin to be compatible with wireless charging....

I went to otterbox website last night and didn't see where you could purchase. All it had was a Sign Up link to be notified when available.

In my situation cautious yes. I work in a really dusty enviroment and I use the case only in the workplace. And I got my earlier Sony's screen broken because of no case in the workplace....
I don't use this case in my freetime. It's just too bulky to have in your pocket and phone is a little more difficult to use.
There's couple disadvantages in the case:
- you can't press the powerbutton on the rightside. It's blocked because the hinges of the case are on the right side.
- I have had problems with the voice. I need to take the phone out of the case when talking with someone because they can't hear almost at all for some reason. I have not researched do anyone else have this problem and can I do something for it
I have also a bike clip for the case. I have not tested it yet (I have some plans to use the phone as a cycling computer in the summer time).
I'm little struct between this or Griffin Survivor (I have them both). Griffin Survivor is much better in almost every way (belt clip in Griffin case is really good) if you don't need water proofness but it's much harder to put the phone to the case and take if off.

Got this case to use on my bike: http://www.topeak.com/products/bags/smartphone_drybag_5_bk
Edit: don't mind my sig, got a S3 now.

Would an s3 with extended battery fit in this case, im already looking for quite a while for something like this but never realy wanted to order one because i am worried that it would not fit for extended batteries

Do these waterproof cases float? If no, what kind of depths can they handle? (I assume 1m)
I'm waiting for the otter armor.

**pics included** Black Cruzer Case on Amazon fits GSM perfect

I got the black glossy Cruzer case from Amazon and it fits snug and tight...better than my Incipio case I purchased from the Verizon store. The case is nice and durable. The power button and 3 prongs are open and the volume keys are closed with a nice rough texture. The volume keys are very easy to use since they are sealed. I recommend this case to GSM Galaxy Nexus owners and the price is not bad at all.
I gave it a 5 star review on Amazon.
Here is a link...
Check out the other designs Cruzer has... Android print case looks pretty cool too.

How is the fit and finish, for lack of a better term, of the case? How tightly does it fit around the face and how are the areas around the mold seam?
I'm currently using this Qubits case and while it is quite good, it is not perfect.

I think I'll go for a KaysCase, also in Amazon. I've looked for reviews online for the brand (they make cases for Ipad as well) and didn't find any negative one. Since Apple users are usually prone to complaining online, I think if the case was bad it would be all over the place.

Not really on par with the best Otterbox but it seems like it'll protect my phone pretty well. The plastic is thick and hard *laughs out of immaturity*. I have a thing for breaking my screens and the case has a lip around the front of the phone so I'm not too worried about the screen on this phone.

Hi
Im working within Construction and my brand new s3 is screaming for protection.
I have been lookin around for some "Work" cases. I have found otterbox defender, but its just pre order and i need a good case right now.

Are There any BIG pouches like krussel has that fits the s3 AND a normal case (NOT work case) ?

The ballistic sg maxx is a nice case and the plastic screen cover fits much tighter to the screen than the otterbox. Still it will let dust in though and it makes the screen look like crap. I took mine off snd have an hd screen protector on it.

Fake Otterbox Case and Holster

Guys, thought I would share a case of I just got in the mail today. You can view it here:
http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com/viewitem?itemId=251205640188&index=12&nav=SEARCH&nid=51832567878
Didn't know how it would be as the price is very good. But I must say it is very good. Very solid on the phone and feels just like a real Otterbox. Even has the Otter logo on the back of the case and on the holster. Very happy with this purchase. Spending $12 on a case that is very close to the ones that list for $40+ is a deal in my book any day!
It ships from Hong Kong so it will take a few days. Mine arrived very quickly even through the holidays. About 9 days which is very good.

How's the power and volume button stiffness? Is it super hard to press or is it much easier to press than the real one?
can you post some pics of it on your phone?
I will try and get some pics up soon. The case feels really firm. The Plastic does not give any and the buttons are hard, in a good way. They are firm to when you push them they respond. It is really hard to tell this is a knock off. Heck, the holster is just like the otter box kind. No doubt it will hold up if dropped.

Ok ikn what you all do with your phones but ive been using otterbox since tye original htc evo... i work in retail as a stock clerk... im always loading akd unloading trucks , cutting opening boxes amd packages , in dusty areas ( sometimes ) ive dropped my otterbox several times and never cracked or broke never got anything in it ... also you can get defender cases for about $20 on amazon with tax and shipping maybe $25. Thats half of retail... same with the commuter case runs about $17 on amazon.... also otterbox has a great warranty I had one issue on my evo of the rubber scratching out ... contacted otter box not only did they send me a whole new case but also sent me 2 new rubber pieces so the $12 you spent $10 more dollars you can get a real otter box and have a great warranty.... btw I have friends that have that case and the rubber will stratch out fast and will have to buy another case within 4 months or so.... btw picture is showing how many otter boxes I have gotten for one phone and how easy it is to replace.

I was about to start a thread and remembered there already was one. So since this thread I've noticed a large increase in the number of fake lifeproof's, I'm assuming some company in china got the specs and started making replicas. Looks like the prices are in the $40 to $50 range, so who's going to be the guinea pig and buy one? Part of me wants to try it since the real lifeproof cases cost $80, but another part of me thinks that its stupid to spend $50 on something that could be complete crap. Especially if it ships from china or hong kong, if I don't like it I'd have to pay the shipping all the way back. Plus I'd have to wait 3 weeks just to get it and possibly another 3 weeks to get the refund........
Anybody want to sponsor me? I'll put a big pictorial and detailed review?

I'll get it some time next week, as I'll probably order it with my birthday money or when my paycheck comes in. And hey, if you want to push $5 towards the cause, I wouldn't be opposed They look exactly like the iPhone version, even down to the packaging and colors available. one seller even mentioned that they aren't LifeProof branded, but had a 1 month return/refund/warrenty. In addition, Paypal and my bank offer a certain amount of time to make sure a product actually works (3 or 6 months, I think). I'm game for giving it a shot!
I imagine that the install would be the same as for an iPhone... and I'd want to check the seals BEFORE installing my phone... that'd be really sad.
Found it but it's not on lifeproof website.

Right, that's the whole point of this entire thread. These are FAKE or replicas or whatever you want to call them, that's why this thread got started. That's why they only cost $40 to $50 dollars. That's why some of them are from CHINA. I think I'll probably end up buying one of these once I find a white one that's being sold here in the US. I know they all are probably being made in the same place in Hong Kong or somewhere but I don't see any reason to order something and wait for a month for it to get here.

If it's not on the site, that means...

Being that lifeproof has yet to release the case, what's the alternative? If you need protection a fake case is better than nothing.

I love my water proof otterbox armor series . It's bulky compaired to the lifeproof that doesnt exist yet, but feels like it'll take on anything.

I didn't even know this one existed. I'll have to look into it. I take it you're happy with the case? Is touch sensitivity okay? I had the OBEX for a week and hated it. I like to five and would like to have something I can take on the boat with me that I don't have to worry about getting banned around or splashed. I have no intentions of actually taking it into the water.

More like how does it not affect it. Midne sounds like it does without a case on it.

So who's gonna be the guinea pig and take one of the "life proof" cases swimming? Lol
