Just change lcd density.

Your problem is actually the DPI.I think you lowered it.As far as I know Note 2's Density is 267,change back to that value

Flash MiniTab rom. It's full note 10.1 rom, and it's really awesome!
Worked out? On paranoid it was easy to adjust dpi settings, phablet; tablet mode etc.. but never saw dpi settings on touchwiz so thats why just flashing stock seemed a good solution.

If your phone is rooted, download es explorer, click on the favorites then go to root/system and open built.prop with e's editor and scroll down to
ro.sf.lcd_density=xxx
And change the xxx to default which is 320. Then exit and reboot.

Thanks for the replies, I tried an app from the playstore to change the dpi but the samsung keyboard just kept crashing every 5 seconds.
Is the above method better or will the same thing happen?
The Samsung keyboard will keep crashing until you set the DPI back to 320. I believe anything lower than 280 causes the Samsung keyboard to crash. You might have to install a new keyboard from the play store or something if you don't have one so you can actually edit the build.prop file.
Just a note, if you go about editing the DPI from the build.prop, the value is actually in there twice so you'll have to change both lines in order for it to work.

OK I changed my screen density to 200 and now every app on the market says its not compatible with my device
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
There is an easy and obvious solution to this problem.
You may be exaggerating a little, but you're having the issue because a density of 200 isn't one of the "native" densities that Google's Android Market apps are meant to work at:
The "native densities" are 240, 160, and 1(20) or 1(40), I can never remember the last one, lol.
Simply switch back to either 160 or 240, and all those apps will "magically" become compatible again.

Reset to 240 or 160 , manage apps, select the market app reset cache then defaults, reopen market u r good 2 go

Instead of being rude. You could tell me something other than changing it back every time and rebooting the device

Yeah I could tell you something useful but it would take more time for me to type out an actual response than for you to find a solution by simply SEARCHING. Just to test my theory, I searched for a solution with the search tool conveniently provided by xda and found one in about 15 seconds. You should try it next time, it does wonders.
In fact, there is a solution in the OP of a thread on the FIRST PAGE of this forum. What a coincidence.
I've mentioned the fix and why in several threads, searching would have found the answer.
You can get your apps from the Amazon or Samsung market apps also. Those markets don't have a issue with your "density"
Its funny the market suddenly doesn't have a issue now

Trying to change my LCD density while running ics leak. It changes and says to re boot, i do and all i get is black screen. Have to restore to get phone working again. This is only on ics and i am only changing density to 200. I am on my phone and the search function sucks. I have gone thru several pages in various headers and cannot find this question. Just wondering if this is a bug, if it is fixable, and how to fix it? Thank you in advance...

Are you using an app to change your dpi? Just edit your build.prop in /system using root explorer
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
I changed LCDdensity one through Rom Toolbox and it messed up my ICS rom permanently somehow. Even after I changed it back to stock some icons/menus never reverted back to stock so it was all kinds of messed up.
i said screw it and restored from nandroid. I'd do that or wipe and flash rom again if it keeps giving you problems.
What launcher are you using? I got it to work using Rom Toolbox
Sent from my SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
Using trebuchet, but had the problem with apex as well. I am using LCD density changer pro from the market.
Edit... Got it to work by editing build prop with root explorer, then downloading just the market fix from the app. Thanks for all input.

Use rom toolbox, I've never had issues changing LCD density from there. Just click the performance tab at the top, then build.prop tweaks, then LCD density.
Edit: Actually you can change it under rom control settings since its AOKP. I think its under general UI settings.

okay that worked good thank you now maybe u could tell me whats the best rom out there for good battery life and performance
170 is the perfect dpi IMO. It doesn't have any notification layout problems which bugged me, google music is in phone layout and just seems to be the right one all around. Try it out let me know if you like it.

Frankenstein's Ego has phenomenal stand by life. I don't use my phone that much, mostly just some texts, emails, hour of music, a call here or there, and maybe up to 20 minutes of Angry Birds or Temple Run. On a low usage day I think I went to be with somewhere around 82% (7am-10pm).
The problem low dpi u run into errors in market. I went from 240 which is stock to 200 and some of the apps no longer became available. Market is detecting it as a perhaps tablet. When I moved it back it was available again so its a trade off

Ok, I really don't know what happened. I charged the phone last night, and it froze overnight( not a normal occurrence). So this morning I did a battery pull and restart. It had some issues restarting, it took 3 tries to get it to work. Then when it did start, the display was odd. Everything is very small. The display still stretches the entire screen, just very small. Almost like the phone thinks it is a tablet. I was running cm9, but I flashed back to stock FTF about a month ago. Only thing done since is root (to retrieve titanium backups) and install cwm. I know that I could probably flash again and solve problems, but I just don't want to mess with rooting and restoring again. I tried clearing cache and dalvic cache, but no luck. I have attached screenshots of the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Not sure what is up with the notification bar, but it goes away when in landscape mode. (shown in pic)
Mybe u should refer this to the rom thread or read through the rom thread 1st. Coz mybe sm1 already suffers the same issues with the rom..

I'm not running any custom rom. I flashed back to ftf. Running stock fine for the past month until today
Sent from my R800x using xda premium
Bad .ftf mybe. Did u hav another .ftf u could flash?? If dont try downloading another 1 n try flashing it again. But looking at ur screen did u install custom mod/theme on ur stock rom??
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
...That looks pretty sweet actually, garbled notification text aside XD
My big question is what could cause this even? I've nevrr even heard of this happening
Sent from my R800x using xda premium
No, no custom themes or any build.prop edits. But, could this be caused or fixed by a build.prop edit?

It looks like your pixel density is messed up all the small icons I remember messing around with it before and thats what it use to happen when I set it to high... I remember there is an app that can do that if ur rooted but the blurry notification don't know what could cause that

It was the lcd density. I went into rom toolbox and checked it. The slider was at the minimum. I raised it to half and rebooted. Problem solved. It also fixed the notification bar. Does anyone know the correct density to use?

Actually, the default density for the Play is 240.
OK, I used LCDDensity from the Play Store to change my LCD Density to 280. It didn't seem to work, so I gave up and set it back to 320. Everything looked fine until I opened my keyboard. Here's a screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/U7o4R.png
As you can see, the right side of the keyboard is just a bit off screen. I installed SwiftKey in hopes it was just an issue with the TouchWiz keyboard, but no.
Also, as you can see in the scvreenshot, the build.prop is in fact set to 320...What can I do to fix this?
Thanks for your help.
Just manually edit your build.prop to restore density.
Did you reboot after your latest changes?
Wipe out all traces of that LCDdensity app too.
