Then i also think that said tutorial will help you. Next time dont mess with Odin when you have no idea what are you doing. People flash their phones straight from the box instead of getting knowledge how to do it.
michal_ag the process failed 3 times :S

Why are you so concerned baby? The phone is mine! bye bye baby. get a life!
Because I'm fed with people spamming this forum with "OMG I FLASHED WITHOUT RESEARCHING ANYTHING AND MY PHONE IS BRICKED HALP PLOX". This is common knowledge since first JB leak that PIT file is needed to flash JB from GB and that MC8 came without it. If you had read some threads before going berserk with flashing you would had no problems. I tinkered with many phones and I've never bricked any. That's all from me. Bye bye and good luck in the future :*
I've played with many phones, I've hard bricked one and soft bricked a couple. If you can get into recovery and download mode you should be able to fix it. Some times there is a lot of reading that needs to be done but there's always a way. Do you do a full wipe? /system, /data, cache and dalvik?
Please hit Thanks if I've been helpful at all.
I flashed the JB without PIT... and it works!!!!! My girlfriend has a new phone with a new firmware!!!
Thanks to all!!!!
Congratulations

First of all, excuse me for my ****ty english...
So here we go, i've got 2 arc's wright... unlocked the first one, flashed the 1.86ghz kernel and lost wifi and bluetooth... flashed some firmwares, doomlords kernel so lost track on where I lost my wifi...
sick of the laggy performance, sick of the lack of normal memory capacity, so unlocked the other arc and only flashed the 1,86ghz kernel, hoping it wouldnt lose wifi and bluetooth... #bummer...
So, what to do next, how do I get my wifi and bluetooth working again?
Someone got an idea bout what to do?
just flash stock rom, then pre-rooted img. and start again. may be a corrupted file.

Hello!
I have a rooted Xperia Arc S, and I am interested in changing my Rom. At the moment I have MooDed ICS 90.4, but I was wondering if there are any better Roms I should use...
I would not use a Rom which requires an unlocked bootloader as I do not want to unlock mine as I heard that you can no longer use Sony PC Companion to unbrick your phone (which I have needed 4 times!)
Thanks if you can help!

Search, read and ask questions on existing threads and you won't go far wrong.
Hi,
I have looked around the forum and read a few threads about downgrading. I just need to make sure that my understandings are correct before I decide to flash it.
1- download flashtool, 6.x version because the 8.x version only works on ICS.
2- download ftf for gingerbread, im trying to downgrade to .42 for root, would there be any complications regarding the 0% battery issue?
Do note that im on stock ics with root now, what risks do I have with flashing now?
Also, if I bring the phone to a Sony store, would they be able to flash the .42 version? Or would they just flash the latest gingerbread version ?
Thank you for the advice
Sent from my LT18i using Tapatalk 2
Hy ! Your method is correct ! .42 not cause 0% (tested me too)
Downgarde from ics with root not have any risk! Pc companion use it to(like flashtool)
In the sony store very likely that they will give you ICS or the latest GB (not .42) .
I have done this many times and no harm(From rooted ICS to .42)
If j help you please hit thanx !!!
Any link for the ftf file? I downloaded one last night but since it wasnt from xda, I have reserves about it.
Edit: also, do I have to enable anything on flash tool? I read about no final verification check or something. What needs to be checked off on flash tool?
Also, after I flash gb, can I do a pc companionship repair ?

Its simple, have you unlocked it??
if yet...and you want to do this with all risk try to do this
Press dial phone
*#*#7378423#*#*....when it said Bootloader unlock : yes
Its mean u can unlock your bootloader..then go to this tutorial, remember you will avoid your guarante, but after that you can flash any amazing custom ROM...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=12873655
Or if just want to keep on stock..I suggest you to reflash the stock rom/firmware..follow the instruction carefully..
EDIT : sorry..just forgot that u get bootloop
So just doing last step : reflash the firmware...

the problem is that the phone is stuck at sony logo. so i wont be able to unlock the bootloader as it needs the dial pad...
I have been flashing this phone with LT18i_4.1.B.0.587_Kernel.ftf but no progress is seen.
i dont have much info about bootloop and bootloader?
