You can't just "say" it's the best, what makes it the best? What does it do that a hundred other messaging apps don't already do better?

I love the look and concept but the app lags a lot for me. Really jerky animations compared to the rest of the phone.
Hope the dev fixes it.

Only thing stopping me from using this app is the lag =\
If it can become as smooth as the stock messaging app then I would switch in a heartbeat ^__^
You have to disconnect from wifi to send mms. =/
I purchased this app long time ago and dev finally got mms functioning. The app real feels like it's been hacked together.
The whole app feels like it needs to be recoded. Lags like none other.

Yea its a lil laggy at times needs a lil bit of cleaning but i like the features and ui .. Its still in beta but developer is really good with updates im sure hes aware of issues and will soon iron bugs out.. Im not promoting this app im just letting u guys know its a great app (work in progress) its ur choice to use it or not

No. The MMS is stock for now.
Thanks for the feedback, you will get quicker responces at RootzWiki but I am nice and will reply here too
There is an issue with SMS and mms on the 4G, and Adam Green (oxygen) is hopefully sending me a fix sometime today and I will then release a new beta with it included. Until then, like others said, use a 3rd party app if needed.

There isn't a disable lockscreen vibrations option, however I can look into making it obey the use haptic feedback option is settings for those who hate all feedback. I quite like it myself but if its wanted...
Also, if you like Carbon, show your support by voting in the RootzWiki developer phone handout for me, I could get a Sensation or a G2X (the other option is a NS but I have one). http://rootzwiki.com/showthread.php?t=2014

Great ROM! I've been using it for a couple of days now and it's been smooth sailing so far. I love the Quadrant Standard scores though, I get an average of 3400. This has to be the fastest ROM I've ever tested.
How's the battery life? That's what I'm more concerned about rather than e-pen quadrant scores. Thx.

On par with most other decent aosp roms, nothing special though from my experiences. That said, I'm a heavy user so your mileage may vary.

Vellamo tends to be between 515 and 615 depending on cpu setting(1.0 -> 1.2) and Autokiller settings(default -> Strict). Go with that, it's considerably more accurate way to benchmark.
So I'm currently running the newest Jedi rom. But for Christmas my sister and I bought my father the Xperia TL and through setting it up and getting it ready to give it to him on Christmas Day I realized how seriously awesome and fluid the ui is. The lock screen is super smooth and notifications come on it looking clean, the messaging app is great and the overall look and feel makes me feel like, when looking at my note's tw ui and even using nova launcher, like I'm using a kid's toy and the real deal is over on the xperia.
So tl;dr does anyone know of a way to get the xperia interface or look running on a note 2?
I realize one option would need a whole rom and a lot of work to get it working with S Pen functionality and etc, but are there any options that I haven't thought of? I'm nothing more than a guy who learned to flash roms so me taking on a project like that is little more than impossible. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way or has accomplished what I'm setting up for.

Does anyone truly like it? I find the extra page for toggles to be an annoyance to get to, and requires extra time. It just looks nice. The lock-screen also defeats all purpose of having a lock screen, and removes useful shortcuts (I know these can be added in through some cm or aokp builds but still). I didn't think it was possible for a new android version to really take a step back in terms of functionality but 4.2 really did. Scrolling isn't nearly as good as it was in 4.1 as well. But this is all my opinion, I'm interested to hear what you guys think. I'm looking to drop back to 4.1, and I'm hoping key lime pie gets rid of lock-screen widgets

Yes I like it. And a few milliseconds don't hurt. I don't think android took steps back, it took 3+ steps ahead.

I like it.. Looks pretty good.
Although, I do agree somewhat with the lockscreen. When I had messages as one of the pages on the lockscreen, I wish I could just text them from there. But instead, you press it and it goes to the messaging app instead.
Agreed. With lockscreen and toggles. If I remember correctly though, pure AOSP that ships on nexus devices prior to 4.2 didn't have toggles. That's a luxury that was only afforded to root users. So really it was a step forward.
In my opinion though, they should have implemented CM's toggles and called it good.

I'm getting 3.5 or so screen time consistently with black bean. I'm actually getting better battery life than ICS out the box and with the same installed apps. Smooth performance too. I'm liking 4.2 so far. I do miss the TW calendar and music player. They seemed to work the best for me. Tethering is also been hit or miss. Nothing a big deal breaker for me though.

In response to people who dislike the newly implemented toggles page: just swipe your notification bar with two fingers and voilà, straight to toggles.
Don't thank me, I figured it out from a review video myself (QBKing77 I believe, but I could be wrong). But should save you that extra second you were complaining about...

I think it is nice but, something they could have included in the original Jelly Bean instead of making a separate Jelly Bean version.

Hi guys, what can you tell about this? Personally, I noticed that games wont keep in memory if I go to another app, like whatsapp, and then return to the game. For example, candy crush, subway surfers...if I do multitasking with paused game, when I come back its gone...

You have to understand also that these apps aren't updated with 4.3 api so the apps aren't used to the way 4.3 handles the memory of keeping apps.

I never use CM, I can surely says Stock 4.3 is far more better than Stock 4.2.2 performance wise... 4.1 is the fastest i think... but maybe it's because the butter first introduce to us, and we came from GB or ICS with more lag on UI.
FYI using stock from 4.1 to 4.2.2, I never had any issues on multitasking... maybe because I never had a lot of apps and games installed, IIRC I can multitasking with minimal 3 or 4 apps back and forth with no problem whatsoever
4.3 should be faster because it introduces a new frtrim (?) function that helps with memory management so the system doesn't start to crawl after a while. Frankly it should work better overall but this might be a downfall.
On my N72, I was playing Riptide 2 and it crashed during a race. Probably just a crash but could have been an emergency memory seizure. Probably not but could be.
We'll just have to see
