You probably swapped your SD in CM10. You can get the file for that somewhere in the CM10.1 thread... Just replace (backup the original file) it and put correct permissions. I had that problem cuz I didn't remember to swap it back.

creating swap file and swapping sdcards is different. the latter means altering your vold.fstab so that the internal sdcard becomes external and vice versa. anyhow, even if sdcards are swapped, media files are handled by the media scanner regardless of its location so it should automatically appear in your gallery and apolo player.
my suggestion is re-install. prestine install if you may.

Was your sd card partitioned before? If so then please read the ROM post carefully.
May be formatting ur sd card and retry might help.
is your system ROM partitioned?

Problem with ROM
Hi.
I have got problem with the same rom - kwbr 4.3. (link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1429718&page=2).
I love it - it's so fast and beautiful, but... why after few minutes or houres almost every app force closed? I tried to flash this ROM 5 times, step by step, and every time the same thing happens. I don't know what to do, I wipe data, dalvik, I did everything (I think).

I used to wipe cache always, but lately I do it only sometimes. I read something, that it could help. I've just flashed ROM again - with wiping cache We'll see if it help.
I'm sorry, I don't know what "MTD partition" is? :silly:

Well, I download link2sd and tried to uninstall Stock.apk (nothing else) and then - force closed: google services framework, com.google.process.gapps, com.htc.bgp, com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox etc... Help, please
Edit:
I ofcourse wipe everything and flash rom from the beginning.
Now I'll try "fix permissions" but I did it earlier (few roms ago) and it didn't helped :/

Why do you need link2sd ?
apps2sd is already there in the ROM.
If you want to move apps to sd-ext then use A2SDGUI app instead of link2sd.
Link2sd must be causing all FC's.Uninstall it right away.

I used to use link2sd and I loved it - easy to use and do its job good.
I tried to use A2SDGUI (it was in other rom) but probably I don't know how to use it or I use it wrong. I'm downloading it right now and I'll try to do something with it. You're right, I want to move some apps to sd-ext.
Quick question: there is enabled "Apps are on SD!" but they're not, how to move them in this app? Example: youtube, quickoffice, gmail and others - I don't think they are on SD and there are no possibility to move them there.

Look link2sd is a nice app,no problem with that. Its only good when you havent flashed any a2sd script or your ROM doesnt have it.
In this case ROM already has an a2sd script,link2sd creates its own scripts which are conflicting with the one in the ROM.
first open a2sdgui app,hit zip align on boot option,if you want more space you can go to dakvik cache tab at the up,you can hit move and rebuild dalvik cache to sd-ext,this way you'll have 50-60 mb more space.
And yes, this app will move apps which should be to the sd-ext.
You were right. After unistall link2sd force closed stopped appears! Thanks for help
About that a2sdgui.. I did like you said and I hope it will work. Any app from this Rom did not move to SD, but maybe next apps will
Thanks a lot!

System apps wont get moved to SD-EXT.
What about Root unistaller or Quickpic? They also didn't move to SD I'm not saying they must, but I would like to know how it works
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using xda app-developers app
If you are looking at app info and if there is an option available saying 'Move to SD',that doesnt mean that app is on internal memory.'SD' and 'SD-EXT' are two different things or partitions.
You are right. What I was thinking about I'm so embarested well, so everything is great! No force close, fast, smooth Rom, everything I dreamed about. Thank You very much for help!!

My pleasure.
One more question: my HTC clock doesn't show weather. Could I fix this? It says only "My localization" but it doesn't show city, temperature, picture of weather. I don't need this, but it's nice to see on the main screen
I'm not interested in alternative clock/weather app. Just stock one.
Thanks for answer and goodnight

First of all, i hope i have choosen the right thread..
My GNex is rooted and currently i am running aokp_maguro_build-37
When i take a pictures in the main camera app it won't save to the 'SD-Card'...
the shutter takes action but no picture is saved...
another problem i have, when i want to download a file from my dropbox, it won't let me - it says somthing like 'Storage full or unavailable.'
when i go to Settings/Accounts & sync there is a little sync icon with an ! and it says 'Sync is currently experiencing problems. It will be back shortly.'
i am guessing there is something worng with my 'Sd-Card', so my GNex can't conect with it or something...
i have restet, wiped, and changed the ROM on my phone a few times, no changes so far
okey, i did now a factory reset (to clear my 'Sd-card-section')
didn't work... i still can't store stuff on my 'sd-card'
maybe i have to set other permissions with rootexplorer on the path?
trying now that and if that doesn't work i will flash the stock rom...
edit:
the permissions on the SD-Card are:
R W X
R W X
R - X
shouldn't the last part also be R W X?
I think whatever you did installing aokp screwed things up. Go revert to stock (reflash the official google image) and boot it and check everything is working, then try flashing aokp again.

Building on what he says, it sounds full or absent. Check with a root explorer (es file, or your flavor of choice). Should be a 'sdcard' folder in the root directory. Possibly that is absent or the link is gone. At which point you MIGHT be able to create it again, if not, you'll have to load stock images and it should be created.

Hi XDA,
I just updated to Android 4.2.2 Vanilla RootBox Custom ROM and low and behold i didnt like it. I want to go back to 4.1.2. Should I just do the same procedure in installing ROM's or is there a proper way of doing a downgrade? I'm an Android NOOB needing help from you Android Experts. Help will definitely greatly appreciated. Thanks!
More Power XDA! Thank You!
Well just copy the 4.1.2 ROM to your sd card and wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache and then install the rom and you're done

Flash stock rom.
Be sure to do a super wipe before you do that.

4.2 changes the internal sd card formatting due to multiuser support and adds a folder '0' with all your data files and downloads. You will need to use a file explorer to tranfer the contents of the 0 folder back onto the root of your sd card or a lot of your apps will recognise your data etc.

Yes, the other poster was warning you about the changes in files structure 4.1 / 4.2. Big changes due to multi-user account option found in 4.2
This thread, while for a different device, explains it well and offers tips how to do what you need to do.....

A week back I installed Dr. Ketan ROM v8 Kitkat 4.4.2 for my Galaxy Note II. It was a clean install over stock Kitkat 4.4.2 & everything seems to be working great except for the gallery. Somehow I'm not able to see any albums or pics on my gallery app ... Pictures downloaded are getting saved & stored in My files and they open in gallery if opened individually through my files but no folders or pictures are directly displayed in the gallery app. Tried clearing cache & dalvik cache & also Gallery Cache & data ... but still nothing's working. Now i'm out of all ideas I could think of?
Need help to restore the normal gallery functions...

Checked that too & even tried transferring the few pics to root folder but still they don't show up in the gallery app. Going to reflash clean ROM all over again. Hope that works out & solves my issue.. Thanks for the suggestion though :good:

simplest fix without using the root that you gained would be just disable the stock samsung camera then download one from the play store....but if you wanna use the root you just gained i would say download this then extract the samsung camera from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2741413 then with the root browser just delete the samsung app that you have installed and put the one you extracted in its place then fix the permissions then reboot and it should work now

i extracted it for you just use root browser to install it as a system app follow this video (same basic thing just use root browser that i provided and this apk) just instead of hitting install after you move the apk and fix the permissions reboot the phone and it will go in the system/app folder

Even if you sent the apps to your external SD they would still be wiped if you do a full wipe in order to flash a new rom....but what you can do is copy the apps data to your external SD with a root browser. Basically make a copy of the "Android<Data" sub folder from your Internal SD then change the name of the Android Folder then paste it to your external SD and the apps data it self will be safe even if you wipe to flash a new rom...
