While surfing the play store I found this app called home pack buzz. Most of the time I see a lot of great homescreens and I try to do them but end up getting very frustrated. This app you can view the many different home screens and in two seconds download it. At the same time you can make it your own.

I saw thus yesterday and gave it a shot. It definitely has potential, but I feel like some of the tweaks aren't very intuitive. Either way, it's an awesome idea. We need to get some of the UCCW gurus in on this.

I am using the app right now (thanks to Zanderman). You need to use the app widgit to lock the screen. I use Zeam Launcher so I just dropped into my bottom homescreen apps. There are different animations and sounds you can apply. I actually have grown to like locking the screen from touching the icon rather than the side button. TV old style is the animation I use and sound #4. The app is free. Its called "Sereen Off and Lock".

Here's a screenshot. Its the bottom right icon. You touch that to lock the screen...

i always just set the long press search shortcut. much more convenient than going to your homescreen every time. also, while i started out using screen off and lock i am currently using "screen off utils" it has more functionality. like you can set it to turn your screen off when you plug or unplug from your charger for instance.
That's exacly where I got mine bottom right side! ; ) whats good the god father john corleone! This app is pretty nice Ive had it a couple months ago & always use it thanks to katecca the maker of this app!

I cannot figure out how to add a shortcut to the bottom dock on the home screen. I decided to drag the stock internet shortcut to the trash, and know I cannot figure out how to put the dolphin shortcut there.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Figured it out. You have to drop whatever shortcut you want on the home screen, then pick it up again and the dock will be available.

again pretty minimal to much color and stuff going on in status bar so had to do away with those... not really into the wallpaper just can't find anything that I really like.

Nice. I like the minimalist approach, especially on the status bar. What launcher are you using? I'll have my LGOG in a week, and can't wait!
clean screen nothing showing...
Here's mine.
I prefer a nice clean desktop, nothing showing.
LancherPro Plus
Top bar auto hides
bottom buttons are 1x1 transparent pixels that ARE linked to apps but (on the grid) only the user would know they are there.
else you can scroll the bottom bar left and right to see more apps on that 3 page bar. {else} the page is completely clean!
Middle Earth map for wallpaper (scrolls with scroll across homepages).

I like to arrange my apps by alphabetical order, and it's a real pain in the ass that when I add a new app it doesn't just push all the icons over a space it pushes sone down some sideways.
Any way to tweak it so it reacts like iOS when I'm adding / removing /moving icons?
Thanks.

Man press menu button while app drawer open...view type...alphabetical grid...bam done.
Sent from my SGH-I747M using xda app-developers app
First off I'm not talking app drawer. I'm talking desktop pages. Second off, when pressing menu button in the app drawer there is no such option as you speak of. Thirdly the app drawer is already in alphabetical order. So no need to even do what you suggest.
Anyone else have an actual answer to my question?

I can't directly answer your question but I will give a suggestion. You can the ROM in the link and maybe this can be more like iOS for you. The apps behave like iOS sort of. Give it a look at least.

Why do you even put your apps on the home screen instead of just leaving them in the drawer? I could understand a few, but not all of them.

I agree with this. The idea behind the home screen is to place widgets and app icons in such a way that is convenient for quick info access and the more commonly used apps and functions on the phone. The app drawer is the all apps view. Seems a waste to do otherwise.

And fourth seems like you don't know how to phrase a question with all the information. Next time tell people what launcher you are using and what screen you are trying to accomplish it on....so people dont waste there time giving you such unsatisfactory answers.

I have different pages to group different types of apps. That's why. App drawer is something completely different than that.

Why don't you use folders instead? Less clutter and probably works better for what you want.

I think the issue is that you see a droid like iOS. Its isn't. IOS is an app drawer and that's its when it comes to how it functions. Apple places every app on the front yet android allows you to make it your own and exercise your creativity...or the lack there of. Its how it works
I suggest maybe miui would be worth a shot to try. They are about 50 different launchers out there to try but none of the popular ones will work like you want.

That is the way the launchers are made to work. There is no changing it unless you build your own launcher and change the way it moves the icons.
What is wrong with the OP? They gave him an answer so why is he being difficult?
They gave me answers? No they shot down my question with bull**** remarks and started acting all android fanboy like because I'd like icons to move around like they do on a iPhone which is in my opinion is a lot easier to deal with then the randomness of the android icon movement.

Sent from my GT-N7100 using xda app-developers app
I had blink feed on my HTC One and that's what it is, a widget. The closest I was able to come to replicating that on my note 2 was Taptu.
Let me know if you find anything that is closer to it.
Sent from my SGH-T889 using xda premium
maybe Pure News widget. I use this, the biggest one on my whole 1home screen. Its almost the same, but without pictures.
For now, and probably won't be sorted for a while, BlinkFeed relies on HTC's framework for it to work. Therefore it's not possible. The closest you'd probably be able to get would be using multiple UCCW widgets.
