Everyone knows our device uses a LOT of battery when it displays white backgrounds. I would like to know which ROM is the darkest, most blacked out? I would like recommendations for a 4.2.2 version that also has GApps inverted as well.
Most ROMs stick close to stock theme wise, and rely on themed GApps + theme chooser to get the options folks want done. There is also the TRDS option that Slim made that has been kanged into a few other ROMs. So there is no real reason to limit yourself to the few pre-themed ROMs available, although there is nothing wrong with choosing one that is.

Black bean or slim..slim has a dark toggle that blackens menus and apps. Bb8 is nice also

Also xylon rom uses dark switch too.

Just use the Blackedout Black theme in the Play store. It blacks out everything.

This is the most in your face and custom green theme for aokp b28 and liquid v1.1 out there..I have at this point themed almost all system and commonly used apps to match the theme ... I chose green as the base color to kind of switch things up a bit... this theme is a truly complete system overhaul.. ics blue is no longer visible except in email as i have yet to find a way to successfully edit it.. this theme is filled with custom images and i am working to completely eliminate in time the feel of many aspects of ics although many i do like.. have fun with this and let me know how you like it... dont bash it cause of the color scheme..thanks a bunch

OP updated for liquid users.. was an issue with incoming call answer/decline tab.. also hosted 2 wallpapers i made to match the theme.. space horse nebula and a nexus one... both colorized and sharpened to match the theme and look good on your phone
Anybody know about any blacked out themes for liquid rom? Inverted gapps an all would be perfect...

Great theme, but I don't think it's what he wants.
I'm running one from here, but text/talk/Gmail/etc are still white. It's basically just the black gradient fix for the most part.

Yea basically looking for stock blue, black everything else, like inverted gapps and framework an all, sort of like the holo stock blue theme for aokp or blackICE rom over at rootz (which is made by one the guys that inverts all the gapps) got the best battery out of liquid ice well from 1.25 at least, I'm actually on the black ice rom now which is based of every release of aokp...

Hey guys as the title suggests does such a thing exist? I've found a couple for aokp but they send me into boot loops.. I'd love to have a fully inverted dark and cyan theme for my gsm nexus with cm10. Like the look that black bean has..

I've been looking everywhere for this theme, the closest I come to is the Syk Sky in the forums, but that theme hasn't been updated since July. I just want standard holo color/icons with white status/navbar and notification pull down. oh I'm on AOKP JB build 2.

This is exactly what I want. Chromium theme comes pretty close but it has gray selections and less blue but it still has its fair share of blue... I like it.

Hey guys,
Back when I still had a Motorola Triumph, I was able to flash a mod that made the notification, apps menu and other menus white (or light or whatever) instead of the usual black coloration. Is there anything like this for the nexus 4 yet? If so could it be flashed as a mod or would I have to install a custom ROM first? If there isn't I'd like to request one... Once I find the screenshots of my old phone (I know they're around somewhere) I'll upload them for reference.

Using a ROM with Theme Chooser, install chromium theme. It makes the many of the menus white.
I'm using cm 10.1 and have also been trying to find a white UI theme. Not really a fan of the miui style. I like the vanilla android ui but would like to try it with a white holo look instead of the all black.

Not a bad theme. Small issues here and there, but otherwise very good. May be perfect for you.
I'm going to give it a try. Not a fan of the notification icons, desktop icons, or soft key themes but I suppose those can modded.
