It's always viable to ask "why should I use those over _______".
When compared to the cm launcher I see no functionality obviously outside of what stock android does. No landscape but it does give you access to the newer wallpapers..

It is more than less similar to stock aokp launcher. To me its smoother and quicker. A little more butter...

Use either system tuner or startup manager to disable it. Or you can even freeze it with titanium backup.

Works fine on XenonHD. Should work on any rom that has HALO with the correct credentials

works fine on rootbox, carbon, and I am sure soon on EVERY AOSP rom...
