Sorry hit send by accident . I have an American att LG nitro with official ICS 4.04 v20c installed from LG site. The only way to root it if I'm correct is to follow one of the unbricking guides? What about the baseband? I know that'll change. How will I get it back to the baseband ver it is now, or does that even matter?

To root you don't have to use the unbricking guide but you won't be able to install CWM and you won't be able to install other rom's so I would recommend the unbricking guide.

Thanks is now rooted !! Now it is Rooted, I just do the neu (g) update or I'll lose again my root?

If you update OTA you will not lose root. The only restriction is that you must have it roofed BEFORE performing the update.

I have a stock rom 4.1.2 and I want to install a 4.3 costum rom, but I not sure what to download most are for Lg optimus E975. I think that my phone is the same with E975 but I am not sure.
If someone could help me to tell what to download and install to my phone??

hi, i'm think your phone is the same at e977 - e975 - and f180s because i use custom roms e975 and f180s in my e977 and works.

Down load this tool " docs.google.com/file/d/0BymXcmDRZdl9OHVTcTNpYkI5QU0/edit?usp=sharing". after download it, extracted it to a new folder.
Open Multi_Tools.bat. And hit 1 to root your phone
After you had your phone rooted. Hit number 3 to unlock bootloader.
After Unlock bootloader, you now have a custom recovery (CWM).
Download whatever E975 rom that you want to ( include gapps maybe, if you want to flash CM, AOKP, MIUI rom). Copy it to your phone sd card.
Go inside app drawer and choose app rebooter. Click to " recovery reboot", it will enter to CWM custom recovery.
Flash your rom. That's it.

is there any complications when flashing e975 rom to converted f180 phone in terms of mobile data and signal? i have a converted f180L in 4.1.2 E975 stock rom. i want to flash MIUI or cyanogen. is there anything i should do so i have signal or data network? i have searched for the answer here but to no avail. thanks!
Hello frnds, can anyone give me AT&T Kernel to flash? Currently I'm using G2 rom V5.. and i flashed one kernel after the rom and it is giving me very bad battery drain..
I'm losing almost 10% every hour so i thought of flashing the stock kernel once again. I don't want to flash the while kdz file . Can anyone help me?

Did you try with "E980 Baseband.zip"?
When i had flashed The G2 based rom, i had flashed with E980 baseband as it was mandatory. U flashed the kernel after a day or so. And I'm not having good battery backup... 8-10 hrs max .

I've heard from several people flashing the e980 baseband/modem does not work with cwm.. is this the case with all recoveries?
I didn't find any problem at least with CWM.. I could flash it easily. :thumbup:

I re flashed G2V5 and E980 baseband but the battery prob persists. :banghead:
I guess there is some problem with the battery.. and i can't get a replacement as I'm using an AT&T unlocked one that too in India.. Anyway, I'm gonna get the 9300 Mah battery for my LGOGOP soon.

but it only worked on uvle1 firmware, after i restored 4.1.2 it was still unlocked

i had to unlock on uvle1, then i restored uvmc6 from backup and stayed unlocked
I have a nandroid backup of my rooted stock ics rom. So what I'd have to do is restore stock ics, flash uvle radio, unlock, reflash umvc6 & restore custom rom? :what:

You must be on UVLe1 . Check the free and permanent unlock thread. There is a link there . Download Uvle1 and flash in odin then use the unlock method there . If you are not on uvle1 dont waste your time . Follow directions exactly. It works just fine

There is a download link in the free and permanent unlock thread. Dont waste your time with anything else. Im just going by what worked for most. Dont just flash the radio.. If you want to save frustration just follow the instuctions. If you read the thread you will see that
