Oops!
Happy birthday CM9
Been following CM9 since alpha 1 (CM9-SNAPSHOT-Ancora) with many bugs and etc etc lol, camera is the hardest part to get it working, solved by ivendor, texten and oisis and ofcourse by the cold hand of Sir Arco, I don't believe thats 1 year ago. Now you maintainin 3 kind of 3 stage of OS. 4.0.4, 4.1.2 and 4.2.2. You just simply awesome sir, simply awesome.
Regards from me

Now it's only a matter of time till our awesome devs get it to run on our phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Go Devs, Go Devs!
let the development start !!
REALLY exciting news!!! Hope the CM team picks up ICS in their nightlies quickly!
Cant wait to try the new interface/functions, some features should be similar to Sense roms.
Awesome!...now both the devs and the CM team can work on outing above perfect ROMs for our 'still very much alive; HD2!!!...its only a matter of time i guess. And with talk of a possible Siri port for Android, things are really looking up for the HD2...and dont forget that the full 576MB of RAM has not been unleasehd until now.If all the above is made possible, i think the HD2 will be relevant for at least one more year...
Woohooooo..!!!
Gonna get the ICS on the HD2 pretty soon now..!!!
Yessshhh!!! Cmon devss !! Ics before xmas!!! :d
Wrong section
woop woop !
So our HD2 is still fast enough for this ICS right?????????? Lol just want to make sure, don't want it to be like the current sense 3.0 roms

You cant compare stock Android to Sense. Sense is android with ****loads of bloat code added to it. Dont get me wrong I like Sense but im really looking forward to stock ICS.
Compared to Gingerbread, how long you think until we have a functional port to ICS, just asking since I want into Android when Gingerbread was released

It depends, GB and ICS are quite a bit different than froyo was to GB. If I remember correctly it took a couple of weeks to a month after GB came out when we had a stable enough build to be considered daily.
Proper drivers are gonna determine how fast we get ICS developed on the HD2.
I can't decide which I'm more excited about: ICS itself, or the included Honeycomb source!
Either way, there is no other phone I would want to have right now!

Shouldnt be long now.

Well, as I remember it, Gingerbread was released around the same time last year. And just before Christmas there were many different available roms that ran smoothly without a lot of issues.
So lets, hope this will hold true with the ICS release as well.
waiting ICS HD2
Nice, cant wait till the ROM i use gets updated to 4.0
New interface/functions look epic
Will be getting a Nexus Galaxy next januari
free bump..

Old news
S3nt fr0m my D3fy/w1u1 GB st4BL3
New news for those of us who aren't here daily. I have to say I'm very excited for cm10. We should see some improvement in "zippiness" thanks to the Butter team. And since it is so similar to ICS I think we can assume we will be getting usable nightlies very soon.

Yeah, I've been following it, but I prefer Epsylon3's builds.

We must have a epy3 jelly bean thread that would be the ultimate golden thread in defy development
Sent from my MB525 using xda premium
Awesome ... Epsylon3 is starting to work on the JB too ...
Absolutely the best news ever ...
great! thanks for the info!
Where or when we see Epsylon thread
Epsylon simply our superman
Woah! Can't wait to try it out. :good::good::good:
epsylon3 said:yes, like for CM10 ... JB is a kind of Cleanup of ICS which was very experimental.... Its always better the second time, but not all features are merged yet in main CM repos... but almost all...
So we are making a common repo for Defy and Defy+ also, and only this version will have official support... CM9 is already dead ;p
Just thought this was interesting to show off, since this was my first cooked custom ROM.

I don't actually know what works and what doesn't, but I'm sure it'd be fun to use if you need some .sense, old school Sense 2.1 nostalgia.
I think some things were kanged from other xda users with their permission, but I can't exactly remember
Uh.. not much else to say. I don't actually know whats in this ROM, I don't know if it'll work or anything, but if you can remember .sense and you want to have a ride around the old days, feel free to flash and enjoy
My first ROM =D

.sense.... good old days.
Well, back to ICS.
OK, but seriously. I tested it. It works. Its the one which I had gotten on the wfsdev tester team thingy.
Aren't you working on a .sense RC or something Ben?

hello friends
i wanna buy this galaxy w phone. so i wnated to know that is there compelete (or almost compelet) ics and jb roms for this phone?
as i know there is no official update from samsung.
cm9 or cm10.1 or aosp ics and jb?
tnx
Yup, CM10 and CM9 are stable and not further developed. CM10.1 will be developed for a couple of weeks and then it will be End Of Life too.
Our dev is going to buy a new phone so he'll stop developing for Galaxy W.
Enjoy

What i need to do? i don't think it's a screen problem because the phone doesn't fallen and the problem happen after flash a rom. i think it's a kernel problem but i proof mount another kernel like cow or castagna and touch doesn't responding... i need a solution..please.

Cm9 is stable and fast, also it has a good battery life. Cm 10 in my opinion si no so stable, but maybe gives you more performance. Both these two roms were developed by arco, and now they arrived to the end of life release. However there are many other roms based on cm9 and cm10 that are actually well manteined and updated.
Cm10.1 si not so stable, but it is supported for a few weeks, it receives updates for stability and better battery life. There are many other ROMs based on these one, band I think si the most powerful rom for our galaxy W.
Yes, there are a lot of roms available here that give good speed to your phone. Just read the latest comments first to see if there are bugs in the presented rom.
Im new with Galaxy W, and actually im on S4 look and feel ROM, from develop forum. Its very fast and stable.
