There is no way of getting the widget working on other launchers, I spent a lot of time searching for a way, but Sony doesnt want that to happen
You can always use 3rd party music controlers like : https://play.google.com/store/apps/...SwxLDEsImN6LmpoZy5tdXNpY2NvbnRyb2x3aWRnZXQiXQ..

Phantom Music Controls works one time on two on the Walkman. I talked with the dev (Jan Gruncl) and he made it possible for it to work, but still isn't as effective as Sony's walkman controls.
I have the paid version.

Hi @ll, im looking for good free and preferrably open source apps to the htc apps like widgets clock mail messasing etc etc
i found beatufill widgets 2.56 and k-9 mail to be really good
I've been looking too, namely the Music, Bookmarks and Clock widgets, but haven't found any that are as visually well designed.
I think I've tried all the Music apps available and haven't liked any, over the Sense UI one.
Somewhat stuck because i want the stock 2.1 from the Nexus1, but dont want to flash it until there are good enough replacements.

I think thats a HTC Lockscreen problem, the standard Music Player shows over the Lockscreen in AOSP Roms.
Im running Simply AOSP 2.2 and I was wondering if anyone new of a mod that could add lock screen music controls. Thanks
U should get widget locker... and then u can customize what ever you want on your lock screen..

With widget locker can you just put music control, Like CM, just the back pause and next?

Let me test, your talking about the stock music player right?
It doesnt look like there is a widget for that however, with widget locker you can make it so your pull down menu work while locked so i guess you could put the music player shortcut on the lockscreen then use the player controls in the notification bar while locked..
Unless you find a music widget..
Ok there is a music widget on the market for free and you are able to put that on the lockscreen galaxy s musci widget.
yeah or the MIUI player. I was also wonder how much work it would be to modify the MIUI music widget to be completely clear except for the album art and controls

Ok i got galaxy s music widget off the market and widget locker and it works perfectly stock music player.
Does miui music player have a widget if so then it will work with widget locker.

Yeah I just got widget locker and it works great, now I just dont like the way the music widget looks with my set-up hahaha. Do you have any knowledge on modifying the widget in the apk?

What do u want done with it? Im sorry i cant do it but maybe pm mysterysemotionz, he is an awesome themer and can modify it for you, considering he uses that in his theme he might be able to help.
If you however just want it transparent the Galaxy s Music Player Widget Has A Few Options To Change It, kinda cool, but if you dont want to use the stock music player then talk to mysterysemotionz.

But one thing I wish it had was lockscreen music controls like the ones in Cyanogenmod rom.
Is there any app or lockscreen I can install over the default one to get the controls?
i think its imposible. But you can install widget locker. With this program you can add a widget to your lockscree

Go Locker has music controls and a lockscreen you can customize. Its on the Play Store for the amazing price of FREE
You need to install Go Launcher to use it though (which I highly recommend)

I kind of prefer to stock launcher, is there no other way to do it other than getting something like widgerlocker or go launcher?

I tried widgetlocker. But it won't work for me. It doesn't replace my lockscreen it just adds to it. While I can get music controls, it makes it a pain in the ass to use. Once I slide the widget locker slider, my default unlock slider comes up, THEN my unlock pattern. So it's a real pain.

I tried Go Launcher, works great, but it's having the OPPOSITE problem of WidgetLocker, where it doesn't goto my unlock pattern screen at all, it just goes straight to my homescreen. I checked and my unlock pattern is still set to be used, Go Launcher just bypasses it.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I couldn't find a 4x4 widget for the Sense music player that looks as good to use with other launchers, that's my problem with them, I'm not about to switch music players too, Apollo was my favorite but it messes up my album art (I don't know why it has to snatch all my music new covers while I already got them preloaded and some custom ones). Anyway is there a good widget for that?
Another question partly related to that matter, is there a custom rom out there that allows using HTC widgets with other launchers?

No it's sense related so you'd need to use it with Rosie unless some dev can port it otherwise no.

Some of sony widgets only works/available with sony launcher. Try switch back to sony launcher and check whether it is still there.
Some widget can only works on Stock Launcher (i.e: Sony Launcher). You could get third party Weather app if you want, there are some cool one on Play store.

Accuweather, eye in sky, 1weather, ez weather. Used this before and they are quite good.
