Weird boundaries around menus - Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've had weird boundaries around some menu items on home sometimes. This is both on the stock ROM and ARHD, all versions I tested, all variations of wipe tried. Has anyone else had this?

Edit: On a side note, anyone know how to take a screenshot without getting the volume thingy there?

You need only home and power button.

I'm really sorry about the bump, but does no one else get these boundaries around menu items?

I can't find it but there was a thread about this just recently

(Q) Custom Carousel rosie

Ok so I made a custom carousel rosie for "Warm Synergy" by Incubus.
Problem I can't get the page indicator to scroll straight across the screen instead of on the arc.
Any ideas greatly appreciated!

Can you just take the indicator out or make it transparent??? Or are these not options?

Click to collapse

Anyone having trouble taking screenshots?

Using a custom ROM and its not working.... using that normal?

no problem with this rom.
just to make sure:
you have to push and hold vol down + power at the same time
ignore this if you already knew...

I'm retarded.... you really have to get it at the same time.

Yes, its picky about the timing. But has a nice animation once you take it.

Custom s pen species not working on stock note

So I am playing around and want to use the pen more. I followed all the steps to make a custom shortcut to launch the calculator when I drawer a symbol. However, it doesn't do anything after I make the input. The default species still work fine though. Am I missing something?

what symbol? some symbols get confused with others and quick launch doesn't recognize all symbols

Did you have a message somewhere in the thread fail to send by any chance?
It could be something with delivery reports. Not sure though, I don't use them.
I believe it has to do with Google Talk status. Green filled circle if online.

Just delete it. It's from Google Play.. Some aps you download have that causing ads to pop up in your notification bar.
