Apologies for the noob question. I don't even know if a different kernal would have any effect on bluetooth!
Anyway, I've been running AOKP for the last 6 months or so and I absolutely love everything about it -except the bluetooth instability. When I'm playing some google music it will periodically lock up or drop the connection then reconnect or all of the above.
So, can anyone tell me which rom has the most stable bluetooth support?
I've installed the latest nightly of CM10 and I'll report back if things seem any more stable.
Thanks!

You may want to add model numbers of bluetooth devices or docks you are looking to use.
Thanks, when I did a search on the topic I thought I saw someone move a similar question to the general question section from the QA. Oh well I'll remember that next time.
Back to the topic at hand, I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test bluetooth but so far the latest CM10 nightlies seem very stable compared to my experience with AOKP.

No specific ROMs here, but I've tested many ROMs that have USB tether built in such as ROMs built off of CM or AOSP and they all give the same results. While tethering using 4G the download speed is fine, but the upload speed is absolutely terrible... about 30 KB/s. Using the wireless tether works as it should, but I would prefer USB. Anyone have any knowledge on this issue?
Anyone else experience this or have this being looked in to?
still waiting for some input

I installed CM10 M2 Sanpshot about a month ago and LOVE it. Occasionally things like Bluetooth interferes with playing music in my car, but otherwise a great ROM.
Advice requested.. In general: Should I upgrade from CM10 Snapshot to CM10 Stable? (also do you think BT will be a better version?)
Thanks alot!

Right now im running the last milestone build AOKP had for 4.1.2 which has a nice, smooth, instant lock animation. But I've noticed when I move up to any other rom, such as aokps 4.2 mr4, the lock animation is choppy and not as fast. I get a lot of attention whenever I lock my phone and someone sees the animation. Will it change when they release a milestone build, or is it just the way 4.2 is? Would there be a way to flash the animation from my current rom?
They changed it so it'll look good on N4's LCD screen, from what I've heard anyway.

I have been looking though all the forums to find out why or if its possible to fix the recording issue while taking video on any cm 10.1 base rom with the 4.2 camera. i love stock roms but the recording audio sucks. is there any fix for it please help.
Nope, it's a closed source, Samsung's proprietaries... and the open source drivers aren't extremely compatible with the audio drivers they're using. Nothing to do but wait and hope they get it sorted it out. If it was easy they'd have done it already.

So many... My head is spinning. Between Touchwiz and AOSP, there must be atleast 50 different roms.
I have tried a couple of both, but I never will get around to trying some that truly deserve my time.
I know I can answer my question myself. Which ever fit's my need's best. But that does not make the task any less daunting, when you have entered a self indused mine field.
I have decided to stay on Touchwiz. As going to AOSP is actually a downgrade when it comes to features. Is there a De bloated, blacked out (inverted) TW I am overlooking? Currently on Synergy which is a very fine rom in it's self.
Use your phone extensively and whenever you see something you don't like, write it down, (or put in your memo app), and once you get to 10 things you don't like or wish you had, look for a rom that has most of the things you wrote down.

My advice - Flash the most supported, professional, and popular TW ROMs (there are only a few) and try them to see if you like them. Make sure to make TWRP backups before flashing another one so you can just restore on of your backups once you've decided which ROM you like best.
I had the same dilemma a couple weeks ago when I rooted and flashed.
I simply went with the original and the most frequently updated - CyanogenMod.
If you are looking for other roms, look for a mix between CM/AOKP/PA. Probably the best in terms of features
If it has PA Settings.
