[Q] note2: usb not recognised, can't boot in clockworkmod - Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note II

Hi guys,
Just got my new note 2 (international-n7100). I first updated to jb 4.1.2.
Then rooted the phone after several tries to detect drivers (install/uninstall etc).
After that installed rom manager and ROM toolkit pro.
I never achieved to boot in cmw through ROM manager or by using the 3 keys combination, I keep getting the default android boot.
Tried everything to reflash cmw with adb or Odin but now my PC says drivers are not recognized because of a "corrupted attempt to connect the device before" (use win 7, changed usb ports, tried different pc).
I uninstalled every drivers, kies and reinstall either directly from Samsung or using toolkit for note 2.
Nothing...
Please help, I need to get my phone conected to the PC so that I can boot in cmw and backup my ROM.
Thanks

Phone not recognized by PC after root (but still rooted)

So here's the story:
1) Phone worked flawlessly before root. Did an OTA to stock 4.1.1
2) Flashed CWM with Odin v1.85 --> removed battery --> worked without issues
3) Applied SuperSU v0.87 and this didn't go without issue. While in CWM before the reboot, there was some extra prompt (I have rooted a S3 before and did not receive the prompt) however I cycled too fast and I don't think I hit the right option. The phone rebooted anyway and I had root so I didn't think anything of it.
4) Wanted to add files to my SDcard a couple of days later and the phone didn't show up in My Computer (yes USB debugging is enabled, tried all USB ports, changed cables, uninstalled and reinstalled Samsung drivers, I've never used Kies to do anything with my phone - disabled it from the start)
I thought I should revert to stock and start over so I booted into recovery and CWM wasn't there anymore but I still had SU access. I installed Mobile Odin and placed CWM (the .tar file) on my internal (Placed on SDcard --> moved with My files to internal) and flashed CWM and while I didn't see any errors, now I'm data wiped/factory reset but I still can't boot into CWM, I still have SU, and my phone is still not recognized by my computer.
Anyway for me to fix this issue?

Go here and follow the instructions. My 10 year old was able to do it without an issue.

Reload the samsung drivers on the computer and boot into download mode. After loading the root66 version via odin download Rom manager from the store and load cwm.
Sorry OP but I does anyone know a way to connect to a PC without install the samsung drivers? I'm asking because I don't have permission to install anything to my computer at work. I've tried this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1711009
and this https://play.google.com/store/apps/...9pZC5tdWx0aW1vdW50c2RjYXJkLndpZGdldC5mcmVlIl0.
but still no go. They all treated my SD Card as CD drive which can read only. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the quick reply and I apologize if I wasn't clear but I was attempting to use Mobile Odin (my first time) because my phone was not being recognized by my PC and thus desktop Odin wasn't working either (even after reinstalling drivers and booting in download mode which I tried before posting).
However, I did find the answer eventually. If people have problems losing CWM after root, the error I made was not extracting the image file from the .tar before flashing with Mobile Odin. I eventually returned to stock but that didn't solve my PC not recognizing my device until I found this:
1. Uninstall any previous instance of Kies/USB driver
2. Download the latest Kies, specific to your S3.
3. Download Samsung USB drivers 1.4.6.0 (I've tried newer versions but they all failed)
4. REBOOT
5. Disconnect from internet (VERY IMPORTANT!!! - forcing Windows to install local drivers ONLY)
6. With the phone disconnected, install Kies + USB drivers downloaded in steps 2,3
7. Connect the phone and let Windows install the drivers.
8. Reestablish the internet connection.

I didn't bother with Kies and obviously used the latest Samsung USB drivers. Problem solved!
Perfect.
Sorry if I sounded a little short. I am glad you found the solution.

Probably best if you ask in your devices forum if you think it had to do with how you rooted. They'll be more familiar with it and any problems that can occur.

The only thing I can say is to uninstall kies, install standalone USB drivers (try both the latest and the older version released for your device on Samsung's site), reboot pc and phone and try to connect again.
Good luck!

[Q] Cannot boot device/cannot boot into recovery/not recognized in Download Mode

I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP THIS POOR UNFORTUNATE SOUL....
My device is a Sprint Samsung Epic 4g.
I was running SleeperROM with a MTD partition map and had CWM v5.0.2.7
I downloaded TWRP 2.5 and then rebooted into CWM.
I flashed the TWRP and once it completed it said to reboot recovery. Within CWM menu I selected 'Reboot Recovery'. Nothing happened. So I proceeded to do a battery pull to manually boot into recovery.
>>When I attempt to boot into recovery, it just hangs at the SAMSUNGwwwdotsamsungdotcom screen. I tried the manual recovery boot by holding down:
a. Both volume buttons+camera+power (which always worked by releasing buttons after second SAMSUNG screen flashes)
b. Voume down+camera+power.
>>Device hangs at SAMSUNGwwwdotsamsungdotcom screen when I attempt booting device.
>>I am able to get device into Download Mode. But upon connecting to PC (Windows XP) , I get the USB Device Not Recognized flag.
Device Manager lists it as Unknown Device.
I have tried all USB ports. I installed a PCI USB 2.0 card as well. All USB ports give same result.
I have tried 2 of my USB cables, 2 of my roomate's USB cables, and 1 of my neighbor's USB cable.
I have installed and uninstalled then following several times:
Samsung_Mobile_Driver_V1.3.800_For_SPH-d700_Epic_4G
Samsung_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.5.14.0
Samsung_Usb_Drivers_x32
I tried getting drivers via PDANet, MobileGo, and Samsung Kies.
Heimdall's Zadig option lists device as Unknown Device, thus not possible.
I'm into my 8th hour of frustration. Any help would be appreciated.

Err if I recall correctly, that version of CWM is BML only. If that's the case, then you are on BML and not MTD. You should manually uninstall all drivers off the machine. Reboot and run a registry cleaner, like CCleaner. Try to install the drivers again.
Hopefully you will be able to get that installed properly. If not, then use another computer. At least you aren't bricked, just caught in a hung boot.
So reflash that version of CWM, and from there you can flash whatever.

You can also try using heimdall in a virtualbox with linux to flash to stock if method above doesnt work.

[Q] Issue with installing mod/adb/SDcard/drivers

Hi folks,
I previously managed to get Cyanagenmod installed on my HTC One X but since made a mess of it trying to get a stock ROM on there (to unlock my SIM). I have since given up on getting a stock ROM back on there and am now trying to get Cyanogenmod back on there, but I have hit some problems.
I have CWM on there and my PC can see the phone in Fastboot, but not via ADB (which I am trying to use to 'push' the ROM on there so I can install it). My PC (Win 8.1) is giving me a "device descriptor request failed" when connecting to USB when on the boot menu, and is showing up just as "One" in device manager when I load CWM. However neither of these situations are allowing my computer or ADB to recognise the SD card.
I have tried 'mounting' it in CWM, updating drivers through device manager, installing Sync (and uninstalling/reinstalling it), installing HTCDriver_4.10.0.001.msi all to no avail.
Does anyone have any advice to get my PC to recognise my phone or otherwise get a customer ROM installed (if there is another way.)
Thanks in advance all.

Flash Philz 5.15.9 recovery use it to mount sd card then to copy the rom you need then flash recovery for your rom for CM12 is one for CM11 is other and for Sense is third. For sense rom you can use Philz 5.15.9. And for the new layout is fourt recovery
Thanks!
I couldn't find it so I downloaded a newer version, but it didn't work, so I looked for longer and found a version, but that wouldn't even boot. In the end I used openrecovery-twrp-2.1.7, which did let me mount the SD and install the ROM.
Then I got stuck on the loading screen, but I discovered I needed to just flash a boot.img (which wasn't in either of the guides I was following, for some reason?!) and now I'm all up and running.
Thank you kind sir!

[Q] Bricked Gio - No Boot, No Recovery, Only Download Mode, Odin Doesn't Detect

Hey there guys!
Recently I wanted to get some custom ROM on my brother's Gio. It had stock Samsung software on it, did a factory wipe in recovery, worked perfectly, then I installed CWM in the orignal recovery from the SD card - didn't root before. Since then I can't boot into Recovery, however Android booted up. I tried to use some apps in software to get rid of this problem, but ROM Manager said the device is not supported, then I tried another one called Rashr, which had a question relating to recovery I guess instantly on the app's startup, I hit "Reboot" since then the phone is bricked. If I turn it on with just the power button, it shows the Samsung logo, stuck in a bootloop. I can't access recovery, only dumpram, and Download Modes. I tried fixing this with reinstalling the stock stuff through Odin, but the software doesn't detect the phone. Tried installing Kies, standalone USB drivers, multiple Odin versions, different cables, ports, different computer, nothing worked. When I connect the phone to my PC it plays the "device connected sound" but I got a message, that it's an unidentified device. Went into Device manager, where it recognizes it as a Samsung USB device, with the yellow triangle. Tried updating the driver manually from the manufacturer's list, uninstalling then reinstalling the drivers with no luck. Also I tried cleaning the USB port of the phone, still nothing.
The computers I've tried are running Windows 8.1.
Please help me, I think I've tried everything still the device is bricked.
I have same problem.
did you fix it ?
weLL ,sad to say it but ,its neither worth the effort, time or my typing these letters up here to remind you ,that it's neither the end of days or expensive to buy something this side of the stone aGe ! have fun but not with that one ;(

Samsung Tab S t705 Lte Bootloop

Ok so i have a Samsung Tab s t705 lte and its right now in a bootloop. So I rooted it and flashed twrp. Then i flashed xposed framework. Flash successful but it entered a bootloop. I tried uninstaller but it still remained in the bootloop. Then i restored a nandroid backup but it still is in a bootloop. I tried clearing cache and dalvik Cache and wiped data too. Still a bootloop. Now im trying to flash stock samsung rom ( i got it at sammobile) through Odin 3.09. Ive got the appropriate drivers and everything installed. Only problem is i dont know how im supposed to enable USB debugging when im in a bootloop. If you have any solutions..please let me know.
PS- Its not deodexed nor is the bootloader unlocked. Also, im an adb noob so ill need help with the commands.
Thanks in advance!
You dont need to enable usb debugging or adb. Not sure what makes you think that?
Just install the Samsung USB drivers, put your device in download mode, put the stock firmware in the AP slot of ODIN and hit start.
Not able to install drivers

No the point is that I tried installing the drivers but it said installation failed, please connect device to computer to install successfully. And when i connected my device to the computer, since the drivers werent installed it couldnt recog it. and also, i dont really know much about drivers for samsung. i just downloaded smt i found off google called USB DRIVER FOR SAMSUNG auto installer. Im using a HP laptop, with a intel i5 process, windows 7, radeon graphics card. Thanks
Just download drivers from Samsung website all they do is enable your laptop to communicate with the tab......then download a older version of Oden and a rom that matches your device from update.com there you will also find a how to gide.
