Wifi Problem in Marvellous ROM
Hi.I've tested Marvellous ROM made djolivier on my WFS.First I would like to thank him for his great rom.I have some problem with my wifi in this rom.
After I put the phone on airplane mode for 6 hours(during the night, when I sleep),I can't get wifi to work.It turns on but it doesn't find active wireless network in range.Network is in range but it shows "Not in range".It works again if I restart the phone.
Thank you!

If we had CM10.1, Ubuntu Touch would be a piece of cake! We could also port it from LG P500 but for that we would need a CM10.1 base too, so

Because having a fully working cm9 is pointless as Android 4.0 is outdated... No need to work on old versions of Android, it slows down the development for the newest ones

But result is that we have no fully working 4.x because developers don't make a current version bugfree, they just start to port a new one.

Cause no developer works on CM7. Everyone switched to CM9/10.
CM9 has only one bug which is annoying - video recording FPS. CM10 has two bugs - Low camcorder FPS (just like in CM9) and broken USB tethering.
I looked into sources and it seems like camcorder bug is fixed. Take a look at this

[Q] CM7 developement

hey guys, the last months i've seen almost 4 topics about developing (such as Maroc&Razor, Motafoca, Androhacker etc...) why doesn't anyone of those combine and form 1 single team. I think it will be much better than 4 seperate teams.
And 4 different ROMS are better than 1. Everyone is working with someone else at the moment.

agreed. if people having options they will try rather then using one......
I agree with OP.. unity is the strength here.. they would hv developed it faster if they worked together.. although there can be major clashes over the the concepts.. as some strongly support some issue some don't at all!
But the point is for the sake of the dev.. they might consider sharing what they hv achieved so far.. like so far the one by razor083 is very much working.. but with lot of bugs.. if they try they can make it work! instead they r building it again separately! They should only do dat if there is nothing to be done on this port by razor083!! in dat case they should proceed from source again! but atlst they should take a look at it!!

CM7 port is possible

Hello all,
I just wanted to let you know my experience from some minutes ago.
I successfully boot up CM7 ported to my device.
Everyone is free to do so, but be careful what you do.
I used the kitchen to cook it, so thanks to dsixda for his work.
And also to arco68 and cowithgun whose kernel I was using.
Last but not least KezraPlanes for his Rom I was using as base and for comparison.
Sadly, this is just a quick and dirty port so no downloadlink.
Also there have to be still many bugs and things not working, cause of the cm rom I used.
To state some:
GPS (does not lock)
Audio (both input and output, will be tough)
Camcorder (because of audio)
Storage-related (external SD not working, internal with no USB storage, vold misconfigured)
USB tethering/MTP (will require some programming)
Host access point (similar to USB tethering)
Buttons force feedback
Contacts on SIM card
This was stated by YardE in his thread, about the CM-Rom I used for the Port. So, also credtis to him and the fellow developer.
I just made it for the fun of it and to show some pics, here you have:
Welcome to the club the community awaits you n to those assisting you.

I have one question and according to your profile you are from the same Country(Germany) and have the same Provider(simyo). Does your data connection work ? Does this ROM has also this "funny SIM card issue". The good thing about this ROM we will have the drivers for Gingerbread isn't ?

I hope there is dev who willing to port CM7 to our galaxy W
i know it's out of date
But CM7 itself still cool
still have a lot of customization
and i want to make some wp clone with it
Okay,okay.To sum some things up.
After my try to port a ROM via the kitchen I had downloaded the sources and try to compile a build.
Sadly I cannot spend so much time in playing around with the code and try things out.
So far I overcome some problems while compiling. - crazy story here-
In the End no boot up and I noticed the small system size, which is definitely to tiny for all the libs.
To say so: still a way to go.
Maybe Arco have time to guide a little bit or someone else will supporting me, like KezraPlanes,...

No - if BT is on there is no deep sleep in CM9
Issue is related to to fact that the code in CM cannot do it right now
compared to stock one which is properitary and cannot be used in CM
Blame HTC that they dont open their source for that part

Had the same problem with my old HTC Wildfire S which was running CM7.2 and was fixed so the possibility exists to do it in CM9 too.

I have already looked at some of those "solutions" but they cannot
be applied 1:1 to our case
The main problem is that we need to use brcm_patchram_plus to load the BT firmware
but the --enable-lpm flag which "should" allow the deep sleep is not
working with the bcm4330 firmware. I dont know the exact reason right now
and have never looked into more detail into it so far
Worth Figuring Out
Well it is worth figuring out since all of us which are using car kit via Bluetooth which is in many countries part of the laws it is a must have other wise the entire car kit is obsolete.
if you guys will have some time to address that issue it would be very appropriated by the One V users, since with your CM9 rom and Titanoim Kiss kernel the beast is flying.

Post this in Evervolv 4.2 JB thread. Texasice was working on it, maybe he will check it for last time. In fact a month ago he stopped trying to fix camcorder after camera preview fix. But maybe if there is a "fast" port from tytung Texasice could add it in his github.

Man, just flashed this qiss rom and everything works I can 100% confirm that camera and video recording work perfectly! Also wifi hotspot seems to work too, and bluetooth...actually it seems like nothing isn't working lol. Anyone know if there are softkeys for this rom?
Well, about the QISS rom, you should try making a video clip with the camcorder and copy that file to your PC, you will see that the resolution of it isn't 720p "format", so it's not actually HD, but on the other hand it works none ICS or JB rom for the Desire has that so far
Btw, I've used QISS JB rom with INT2EX and it's the only script, so far, that is working on the JB or ICS QISS rom. U should check the thread in the Desire Q/A forum.
Unfortunately I've changed my Desire with a friend for a Xperia Neo V, so I'm sorry, but I had to say bye bye old Desire
Have fun with it guys

Just one question. Why do people keep adding p on the end of the resolution like 720p or 1080p.
The p has nothing to do with it being hd or not the p has nothing to do with resolution at all. So please stop adding p on the end

Just one question. Why do people keep adding p on the end of the resolution like 720p or 1080p.
The p has nothing to do with it being hd or not the p has nothing to do with resolution at all. So please stop adding p on the end

Click to collapse
The "p" indicates progressive scan frames per second...and yes, the "p" has something to do with resolution.
Guess no camera in android 4.x the time that has already passed.. Still no fix..
