this is the only thing i have always hated about Samsung iis the damn volume is just not loud enough without a amp....
that was the only thing i would give iPhone that they did right even the iPod app is really loud.....
are there any apps that can boost the voulme i want my music loud as hell thats how i like it
im using power amp now and while yes its great its just not loud enough and its even worse if i use pandora
i am using cleanrom atm so any twaeks that i can have would be great thanks very much ^^
my wife i got her the HTC evo and it has beats audio which make the phone loud as hell so anything like that would be great
I flashed a htc rom w/ beats audio and worked i believe the audio part is done by beats software/equilizer.
is it loud i really don't belive into the beats hype that they give i just want the volume loud
No not much difference it just had some bass to it. and using headphones made it sond crisp.
It didnt get louder though, my evo had already been loud. Maybe yours is not outputting enough power(hardware fault?)

I guess I could Recommend the Jedi xp12 Rom, it comes with Voodoo Sound which works really good. :good:
I dont have any problems on my note 2 with the volume level. However on my gs3 I did. I use fauxsound .
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teamkang.fauxsound
It requires a supporting kernel. Ask the in your rom thread if it is supported. If not you can refer the kernwl creator to the above link it has instructions for adding it to the kernel.

I use volume plus from the play store. Works great for me.

I used this and it made every sound louder but not distorted. Very easy to do.
Headphones are louder and so is the internal speaker.
I used the ULTRA mod.

low in call volume? or low earphone volume?
I came from an x10 so trust me I know about low volume woes, as far as I can see so far my DZ is rediculously loud compared to the x10. though the only thing I haven't used yet is a bluetooth or wired headset so I can only comment on loudspeaker and handset speaker.
if I can do some testing today I will get back to u

really? i find it awesome....if you know anyone with an x10 let them give you a chance to talk on it, it is seriously by far the worst call volume hands down! im so glad i made the switch back to an htc device.
if for some reason your getting low in call volume maybe look into getting it replaced with the warranty?

havent really noticed any issues on my lg tones, jambox or my bt head unit....what are you connecting to?
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda app-developers app
I am using a blue parrot headset.
I'm using a Plantronics Voyager Legend and the volume does seem a little low even at maximum. It can be a bit staticy sometimes as well. Neither issue is so bad as to be annoying though. I had thought that the issue was with the Plantronics, but I suppose it's just as likely that the problem is with the Note. I haven't searched for a solution yet.

I have tried my headset with my wifes gs3 and my old phone photon and it is crazy louder with those phones, then I connect if back to my note2 and the voice prompt and commands are loud but when on a phone call isnt nearly as loud....

Silly question...but did you turn it up? I think there is a setting that adjusts in call volume to a lower level by default

I've seen the same thing. Its a software thing because on Jellybomb 5.1 the volume us definitely louder but still not loud enough. My same BT headset was much louder on my Evo and is much louder on my WP7.

Ya I just wish I was smart enough to figure it out I have tried multiple Bluetooth headsets and all them get quiet when you start taking but use thm on other phones and are louder
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
Any super smart developer that can figure this out there has to tweaks somewhere to increase the max volume
Sent from my SPH-L900 using xda premium
I would Definitely say its a problem with the note. The volume is way low on a call. I use a Moto hx550 and my GS3 worked great with it.
I have been following this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931970
and tried the tweaks by editing manually, but it didnt help bluetooth volume. So I'm either not tweking the right volume values or there will have to be another solution found. Its frustrating, but hopefully something will come out of one of these threads...
I have an issue with my Note 2 Bluetooth quality as well. Using Motorola Elite Silver. Seems to be perfectly fine with playing music and as soon as I initiate a call the quality degrades their voice breaks up as well as mine. Works fine with other devices, currently have tried on a couple different ones in the Sprint store I work at.

What rom/kernel are you running? If its a tw rom with a compatible kernel you could try STweaks.
It has an option to increase standard volume limits.

Hmmm, its got to be rom related then. If your headset works fine on a different phone, then thats all thats left. There is one last option for you
I use a jawbone icon I got fron ebay.
What really made the difference for me...jabra ear gels. They look crazy! But they hold inside the ear without a hook. An it tunnels the sound dramatically. $6 for a full set left and right.
Honestly bud, this made night and day difference! Sadly their not available in any store anymore. But online everywhere!
If sound is this much an issue for you. I would say the $6 is worth a try.

There should really be a VLC-like setting on all ROMs that allows you to go above 100% on bluetooth volume if you choose to.
I've been using the beats drivers on my s3 and I notice a little bit of a difference and I've tried various headphones, beats pros, stock samsung and parrot zik. I'm wondering about your experience with it
real or a placebo?
Try acid audio,no worries about placebos, just don't use stock headphones as they don't give the greatest effect, just my opinion.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda premium
I personally think that they are placebos, but maybe that's because I'm not an audiophile..
But if you use high end headphones or anything like that go ahead and try those sound mods and judge for yourself if you notice a difference. Sound is different to everyone.
Doesn't sound any difference with or without even my Audio Technica headphones(which i got free from a Sensa years back).Unless you are playing flacs on your phone, the quality of the music has been decreased to the point where neither headphones nor audio driver matters.

Definitely not a placebo... It's just drivers that have been already equalized per say.. So when you run other equalizers to even further maximize the lows/mids/highs you get a better sound experience... Beats doesn't do anything too drastic but when using high end headphones/audio you can hear the difference

Turn it up a little at a time til you find the max with no distortion
Sent from my LG-E980 using xda premium
Try this:
Install equalizer app from market.
Open the app and raise all 5 bars to max.
Done.
For mp3: use pre amp feature of players like poweramp.
What quality is your music at? What kind of head phones are you using? I say this because my set up I have to turn down because it's too loud.

I use Poweramp + Audio Technica M60.
Try this (attachment)@PowerAMP equalizer.
Also check your audio file quality.

Hello I'm new to the forum , I just got my note 3 and I noticed when I play music through my headphones it's not as loud as my HTC one Was , its sounds ok But it's weaker , any recommendations to make it sound louder or that's more a hardware issue, btw the speaker on the phone is about the same

HTC one has a built in amp. Personally, I think the headphone output is great and the best I've had on a phone. The gnote2 with Wolfson was excellent but slightly quoted than I would've preferred with headphones. All the mods people say to try did not fix it on the gnote2 as it added distortion or artifacts or even worse and that is why I quit using them. It is best to get a headphone amp. They can be had pretty cheap or check out JDS labs and the O2 and c5 amps. A little more pricey but probably cheapest audiophile quality amp for the price.
