Hey everyone.
My LG G2X is running Cyogenmod 7.2.
Just last week my phone apparently started to not be able to receive phone calls. I called T-mobile and told them about the issue, however they tried calling me and it went through without an issue.
I am lost for words, i've had people from AT&T and Verizon try to call me and no calls go through.
Any ideas?
Kind Regards,
Jordan

I just bought the LG Optimus G LS970 from Sprint, but I am not seeing anything for the Optimus G only this forum and it was stated that this forum is not for ATT or Sprint. Is there a forum here at XDA for the Sprint LS970?

I think you need to learn how to search throught forum.
Well let's see, I put in LG Optimus G in the "find you device" and this is the only thread that comes up and it states in just about every post "this is not for the ATT or Sprint phones". So, if you know something I do not know just point me in the right direction and if you do not have any helpful input, no need to post. Thanks chad!!

It is funny how most people here would be helpful and then there are people like you who make the people monitoring the threads have to jump in because people have to flame. Thanks chad!!

lol, lolol. lol.
Try typing in your carrier first in the find your device menu. You should be able to enter Sprint lg optimus g or at&t lg optimus g into that field and have your device show up. Good luck, no need to be so angry next time.

Now there is someone pointing me in the right direction. I appreciate the help and point taken with the anger thing. I will even go as far as editing my post. Thanks Jiexi!
Hi All,
I have bought Sprint LG Optimus G a month ago and rooted and flashed ZVB update couple of weeks back. Everything was fine until today, all of a sudden my phone disconnected from Sprint network and started troubleshooting and end up finding that all MEID, IMEI and ESN's are zeroed out on my phone.
I tried googling for this issue and could not find any information related to LG Optimus G.
I really appreciate your insight on how to fix this issue. I do have the box that came with the phone, which MEID number on it but I do not have IMEI number.
I will be taking my phone to sprint store tomorrow, but just wondering if you guys have input on this.
Thanks
Satish

No, I ended up paying asurion for the replacement phone. Rooted the phone as soon as I got it and backed up EFS partition. Thanks to autoprime.

Good Thinking.

Backing up, good thinking. Yeah, I really blew it on mine, rooted without reading, all I saw was "Framaroot, super easy", it was fine for a couple of weeks then just quit, apparently the LGOG just decides to wipe it's ESN if you root it. Then I did a restore using the LG Flash Tool, and now it won't root properly.
Now I'm falling back on "at least I only paid $120 for the phone". We shall see.
My second phone was not even rooted, when my EFS partition was wiped clean. One day, it just decided to clean EFS partition and sprint tech support guys would not believe me. I ended up paying 150$ for no fault of mine.
Terrible!

Man, that is garbage! You'd think that would be something that can be programmed OTA from the carrier anyway... Why do we need ESN, MEID, IMEI, and ICCID? You'd think there would be one identifying number that is static, based on a chip that is physically read only.
hi,
i read that the LG Optimus G from Sprint doesnt have any SIM-Cardslot but i bought one from eBay in white original package without sprints logo. He said it would have a simslot. Is this possible? LG LS970 as non sprint version? The LG LS970 Eclipse?
thanks
2 things
First thing is none of the Sprint Optimus Gs have Sprint logos on the phone.
Second, this is a question. There is a place for questions and it isn't in the general thread.
And no, there is no Sim card slot.

He's saying the white box had the sprint logo.
And speaking of that, our box isn't white. The E975 and E973 boxes are white I think.
Pretty sure this app was just installed by the LG update center today and that it wasn't there before.
I have the US T-Mobile variant of the LG G7 Thinq.
Thank you.
It's been there all along. It's was there only G4 on marshmallow as well. Not sure what it's there for but I can find no evidence that it does anything whatsoever, but have not attempted to disable it
What does Multitasking Framework stands for? I stopped it once and it never runs again. But what for is needed then?

I think It's there to see when you try to use a service (like tethering or vmail to text) that is not covered by your plan, and to let you know you need to buy that service or upgrade your plan to get it.

Hope this helps. I was wondering the same thing and my old G3 is asking me to update this app. I'm on T-Mo as well.

I have a Sprint ThinQ V8 that is no longer active after receiving a new phone from T-Mobile (a few months back). T-Mobile ported the phone number and deactivated the LG V8 remotely.
How can I get my LG SIM/carrier unlocked or should it already be unlocked?
Thanks

So, never did what you're describing. You had a G8 on t-mo network, you got a new phone from them, they ported the number to the new phone (why didn't you just take the sim out of the old one and put it in the new one?).
anyway, maybe when you say 'ported the number' yer basically saying on t-mo's website they now show the new phone instead of the old one. That's not really 'porting the number', that's just changing on their site which phone you have, and you put the old sim in the new phone?
Completely unsure what you mean 'deactivated the LG G8 remotely'? What? Is this a phone that you've completely paid for? If so, they have zero business doing anything with that phone other than carrier unlocking it.
you might want to explain a little more about what's going on.

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for the confusion, I'm a newbie at understanding how everything works. The LG V8 ThinQ phone was obtained from Sprint and was on Sprints network until T-Mobile called offering a new Nord N200. When I got the Nord N200, I called T-Mobile customer service and they transferred the number from the LG to the Nord by guiding me on codes to enter. The LG has been payed off for awhile. Is there a way I can check to see if the LG is now carrier unlocked? Thanks in advance.

Oh, that explains it. Yes a simple way to check if it's unlocked is put a sim in it. If it connects to that carrier, you can make calls etc, then it's been unlocked. If it's not, call Sprint, I think they are legally bound to unlock it if it's paid off.
